The Charlotte Hornets Summer League team lacks structure. There was some good takes from tonight’s game but overall it is obvious that the Hornets were not prepared for Summer League. From the rotations to the play styles. It is clear that this team was not ready and it effects the performances of each player including Brandon Miller. Nick Smith Jr had a good game, Amari Bailey had a good game as well but many other players struggled mightily.

Bouknight is the Queen of selfish basketball. Sadly, he infects everyone else with it. Miller was actually trying to spread the passes, but others weren't taking his cue in moving the ball.
Also, we have a piss poor coach too.

For me: The Good: Amari and Nick Smith Jr can hopefully be the potential SG of the future. The. Bad: Bryce needs to pass the damn ball 🤦🏻♂️ James Bouknight probably won’t be in the league next year. Kai looks clueless first half and then changed second? It’s polar opposites for James and Kai, One will play decent while the other sucks and then the other performs and bouknight sucks. Coaching was mid, ball movement was horrific, defense was terrible. McGowens sucks in a lateral view. Bouknight can't hit an ocean from a boat at the 3pt line. Kai Jones is not a center, Nnaji is a xenter that should be starting. Miller is not a 4 he's a 3. If kai plays center against wemby, he'd be trashed because he's awful as a center because he lacks the skills and IQ it rakes to play the position.

Brandon Miller even with his low attempts is by far the best shooter on this summer league team. He also is the best passer and facilitator. Had 7 assists without even trying. The reason why a lot of g leaders don't make the NBA is because they don't understand how to carve out a role. Nick Smith cannot play this way in the NBA. He's out of control, selfish and shoots very inefficiently. Needs to shoot a lot better from distance to be a true shooting guard. The team as a whole shot 10 percent from three. No team in the NBA can win with those percentages. The turnovers and fouls will eventually go down for Miller, but at least he's trying to hustle on defense – can't say that for much of the rest of the team. They don't know how to rotate. So many times Miller had to be the first person to stop the Warriors ballhandler even the PG as others were slow to get back and stop the ball
