Cleveland will have no leverage if they have to trade mitch. The whole league knows he wants the knicks so they wont trade for him because he wont extend with whatever team trades for him. Cleveland will have to take whatever scraps the knicks give them or lose him for nothing. I honestly wouldn't trade for him and just wait for him to become a free agent knowing that he will hold out for the knicks

This is all a bunch of bologna…there is nothing to talk about so someone makes an assumption about Mitchell because everyone knows his desires are to be in a Knicks uniform. With that said, lets report real news instead of assumptions. If you think that the Knicks will go into a holding pattern because of this assumption you are very clueless about the Knicks FO strategy. The Knicks will not wait for Donavon if something presents itself that helps the team now. Clearly adding Donavon would be a nice add, but it will only work if it doesn't gut your team ala Carmelo Anthony.

This speculation is a complete waste of time.The Knicks could never play Mitchell and Brunson at the same time. They are both defensively weak and whatever team is playing them would put in a larger lineup to complicate this already difficult situation. Stopm speculating on situations that could NEVER work.
It will never be useful for the Knicks unless Brunson has a major injury or uness Mitchell grows 3 inches taller. Neither is likely.
