Guessing he was bummed and didn’t agree with joe putting him in the doghouse for half the season on a contract year and I think most people agree on that but still likes him personally since Joe’s been there since grant was a rookie

If I’m reading that right, it’s nice he’s saying they can both be above the drama, while also acknowledging there was drama between them.
This boosts my opinion of Mazzulla a ton. Couldn’t be easy to maintain that relationship so positively while Grant was having his role diminished.
I’d say the same for Grant, but this just lines up with how he’s always seemed. Seems like a great dude with a good head on his thick ass fucking shoulders.

Joe screwed up big time benching Grant. That was right when the team lost it’s way.
Grant so emotionally mature. Good human.
Grant is far too respectful to bad mouth Coach Joe in the media on his way out the door despite essentially being tossed aside during his contract year. Not saying Grant didn’t play a role in the situation, but it had to be difficult to go through. This team will miss the hard working versatility that he brought to the table, as well as his timely scoring stretches. Wish him well in Dallas.
