(BRobb) There are issues to work out per sources (trade kicker possibilities, player option for a fifth year, etc.) that come as no surprise at this point. However, it will be interesting to see just what side gives in on their preferred terms for a deal.

I still hope they ship that moron. Maybe they can put it in his contract that he has to learn how to dribble
Little chance they give him 35% or the player option after an illusory All-NBA selection. And he should fire his agent if he gambles on the 10-year veteran max.
Unfortunately I think Jaylen has the leverage here since he knows the C’s do not want him hitting free agency next year. Hopefully we can get some incentives worked into the deal as a concession for the player option and trade kicker
But i thought everyone said we weren’t gonna get a deal done and we weren’t close. All you bums were freaking out and complaining for no reason
Please don’t give him the trade kicker
I don’t see how the trade kicker is a big issue. If you trade him in year 1 of his contract, then the trade kicker adds 0 to his salary. The max the trade kicker can push your contract us up to 35% of the cap. In year 2, it would raise his salary by 3 million according to cap projections. In year 3, it would raise his salary by 4million according to cap projections.
Idk, if we trade him I feel like that extra 3-4mil shouldn’t matter to us.
I get haggling over the player option, but the trade kicker seems negligible and something that wouldn’t impact us if we traded him.
It has to be Jaylen, right? Surely he understands that he hasn’t cut it when it matters most…right?
If it carries on to September they’re not close. If he signs in August everything is fine.
