It’s gonna be nice knowing our team will be able to hang with ANYBODY in the league.
It was draining last reg szn before the WB trade b/c it felt like every game the opposition had some mismatch they could exploit whether it Bev/WB/Lonnie guarding opposing SF’s or our frontcourt being too small to control the boards

I want Rui off the bench backing-up LeBron and be our main scorer off the bench

Still think Vando is better suited to start, but wouldn’t be mad at more of this lineup. This is our best 5 on the floor and should absolutely close games.

The benefit you get on offense doesn’t offset the defensive deficiencies of this lineup and that’s assuming Rui has improved enough from 3 that teams wouldn’t sag off him too much.
May be fine to open games but they need a more balanced closing lineup that is centered around Lebron and AD

While Hachimura is a better player, I see the latter Vanderbilt getting the starting job for his defense in the regular season.
Still, a case can be made for either, and I don’t feel that strongly one way or another.

…. but they cant play all 48 every night? we need to boost our bench

I guess the starting five will be Dlo, Reaves, Bron, Davis and one out of Rui, Prince and Vando. Rui would be my favorite, but I feel like LeBron prefers Vando, lets see how it goes.
I’d love to see Vince proving himself, but even if he is killing it I’d start Dlo until the trade deadline because I don’t want to see him here next playoffs and nobody is giving anything for a player whose last accomplishment was averaging 6 pts and 3 ast. I’d love to see him scoring 20 pts/g.

Rui as the 6th man, I reckon.

It’ll probably be their best lineup but I wouldn’t be surprised if they started a big over Rui like Vando or Jaxson if he turns out good.

And we have Vincent and Vando both almost starting. This team is really good

Why do you guys have a hard on for Vando to start lol

Coming from a heat fan, I hope Gabe makes his way to the starting 5. Personally my favourite heat role player oat and I’ll be watching a lot more lakers games just to see him play

Showcase Dlo for sure. Give other teams the ability to say they traded for a starting-caliber NBA player.

Vando is going start in my opinion

Vando needs to start

Vando to start and do the dirty work Lebron won’t do on the wing. Then have Rui finish games.

I’ve always heard from former players and coaches that defense is mostly a choice, it’s an effort thing. When Avery Johnson coached the Mavs to the Finals they did so with Defense and an interview I saw he said the same thing, “defense in basketball comes down to effort.” Many players have said the same thing over the years.
Excluding LeBron (age), and AD (He’s the big man), can the other three step up their defensive game? Or is it once a liability always a liability?
Either way, as a starting 5, I like it. Definitely the possibility of at least two a night getting hot offensively and just pouring in buckets.

I jus cant buy into Dlo personally given his track record in the playoffs

Now we got a good roster to START the season. Add a little Gabe Vincent and some other plays Like Jaylen Hood Shafino for some time from D’Lo, and we got a perfect team! LBJ can’t overwork himself, and AD needs to be on top of his game. Learn to get there 3 pt or, in AD’s case, his jumper back, then we solid.
