Nobody boos FVV or Nurse. I'm happy both are gone but I'm very thankful that they were a part of the championship. I hope Toronto fans show their class and give them a nice, polite, Canadian ovation. This should be closer to Kawhi than to Vince. Nurse got fired, good riddance. Fred took a massive bag, nobody can blame him. No hard feelings from me.
Nurse and VV are of the same clothe. Both are highly intelligent having the ability to manipulate a situation to their personal benefit regardless of their limitations if left to dominate; but will weaken a team by doing so. Individualists requiring higher intelligent more capable performers to keep them inline in order to achieve within a team environment.
The proof is in the history.
Nurse as a individual coach could develop weaker individuals to be better, but as a team coach could not. The team’s development became weaker. He could coach highly IQ’d dominant veterans but could not coach lesser individuals within a team to be better.
VV underperformed within a team environment unless forced to stay in his lane. The championship year was a prime example. Consistency failed and was very inefficient while trying to dominate as a PG within the team environment until the last two series when he excepted his place as a SG. Vets needed to keep him in line to excel with efficiency within a team. Once the veteran presence was gone he was highly inefficient as a team player but could manipulate the stat sheet to look great as a dominating individual.
I’m personally glad the FO office recognized the selfishness and got rid of all the toxicity and tainted young talent.
The bet on yourself and not the team mentality needed to go! But it does get you a big bag!
