I’d rather win the last game of the year than the first one.

So we open with the defending champs in a game hyped all offseason in the most difficult away court in the league (elevation). I think the League makes big bucks in their gambling partnerships when the Lakers lose their opener.

yeah first time in all of these years we’ve had continuity of a winning team with a full offseason of rest and a minicamp and training camp and all that

Lebron loses a lot of season openers as well. 2015 L, 2016 L, 2017 W, 2018-2022 L

Literally the hardest opener available in the NBA right now. This is obviously a game we should lose.
So a win, I guess? And we’ll make up for that against the Magic a few games later.

I can see the Denver destroying us with ease and will see lots of lakers fans crying out loud we shouldve traded for this dude, signes that dude etc. Acting hopeles just like last season when GSW smoked us during their ring ceremony

Show this in the locker room before the season opener

We need to lose again cause that means they’ll win later when it matters, as usual

I just don’t expect season opener victories anymore. It’s nice to open with a win, but it’s only game 1 of 82.
