It is a little surprising to me that it happened this soon. I thought he would at least last with the Spurs until the trade deadline. He would of been a good mentor to the younger players. Reggie is a true 3 and D player that would of helped space the floor for us. I think this is the Spurs being a classy organization and not wanting to keep someone here that probably wanted to be elsewhere at this point in his career so he can compete on a contending team. I think that is why they waived Cameron Payne as well. The Spurs are probably 2 yrs away from being a serious threat in the West. But when we get to that point, look out!
As much as you and I want Blake W to do well (he’s very talented!!), I don’t have a good feeling. Tony Parker got promoted to starter 2 weeks into his rookie year because Pop saw something in him. Blake doesn’t seem to be impressing Pop and it’s mostly his decision making.
