The Boston Celtics SWUNG FOR THE FENCES…

  1. Good deal for both teams imo.
It's the Celtics & Bucks then everyone else in the East.
Portland sent Dame to a contender in exchange for a '24 first, two '29 firsts, two pick swaps and solid pieces

  2. Now, tell us about how OG is gonna locked Holiday and Dame……btw Delano has 2 left legs is you didn't notice……..

  3. These moves for both Bucks and Celtics are good and all, but I think both these teams only have a 50 50 chance of getting to the finals. Their luck would depend on Miami Heat and whether they feel the lost of their 2 starters. Critically thinking wise, what made the Bucks win the chip a couple years ago, and what made the Celtics go to the finals a couple years ago? I truly believe it wasn't Jru Holiday's presence that made the Bucks win the championship because if his presence did put them over the hump, they would have won or go to the Finals the next 2 years. I feel it was PJ Tucker's presence that put the Bucks over the hump; PJ guarding KD like a bulldog which ultimately beat the Nets gave the Bucks the confidence and momentum to go all the way, Bucks let him go, so they lost their toughness of mind. Same thing with Celtics. what made them go to the finals last year? I truly believe letting go of Ime Udoka as their coach was the reason they lost this year. Both Ime Udoka and PJ Tucker brought toughness to their teams, after they were let go, both teams regress to their old ways and bad habits. Now this coming season, Both teams may have a better chances since, Miami got worse, and Bucks having Dame increase their odds by a lot of percentage, but at the same time they have an unproven coach which is the same problem the Celtics have this year. Celtics all depends on coaching still; if Mezula can't get their discipline back on levels they had during the Ime Udoka times, they will lose. We all know adding talent to a contending team only makes that team better and increases their chances of winning it all, but usually there is a magic sauce to your season that eventually make you win it all. I feel alpha dogs is the magic sauce. You can't claim the Warriors would not have won without Dray, but you can argue there was a great chance they would have continued on that championship path if they had Dame, or say Kyrie instead of Steph C. Bulls had MJ and Rodman, but mostly MJ. Early 2000s Lakers had Kobe. San Antonio had a couple enforcers, and Coach Pops was their alpha dog. The 04 Pistons had Rasheed Wallace, and the 80's Pistons were all alpha males. Recently the Denver Nuggets; who is their Alpha dog? Jokic? I'd say more that all of them were on the same page, and team chemistry was the reason they won. Essentially, an enforcer or an alpha dog is what keeps the whole team in line and be on the same page. When everyone in your team is talented and are playing at the highest level, what separates your team from the rest is having the fortitude and the toughest of mind to achieve one goal.

  4. Not in terms of players but considering they gave up Rob and Brogdon the 2029 pick could have been too 3 protected at least

  5. its just 2 1st round picks. not 3. still, brad overpaid but that's the cost for getting a star. you do it 9/10.

  6. I’d say we’re better than we would have been and I think it’d ALSO going to prove to be a good move over all

  7. I feel like the biggest problem here is that we probably would have been able to give away picks instead of our bench but we’ll see what’s the right move

  8. People gotta stop acting like Holiday moves the needle a bunch. He’s good but not that good.

  9. I really hope bucks and celtics have no significant injuries when they reach the ECF. Their matchup would be electric. Bucks in 6 as im a bucks fan but it could geniunly go either way. Both teams are incredibly stacked and will continue to improve as the season goes on i hope.

  10. If you have the opportunity to trade Smart/Brogdon/Williams for Jrue Holiday and Porzingis…you take that EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE WEEK. Adding two all stars, an offensive big man and one of if not THE best 2way PG in the entire league. All of them will be missed but It’s what’s necessary, and Boston still has a bunch of their first round picks moving forward. They can use those to add depth via trade or draft moving forward. Jrue is an upgrade over Smart overall and Kristap helps add the offense they weren’t able to consistently able to get from their starting bigs. Excited to see how this turns out, should be a fun season!🙏🏼☘️

  11. Holiday was born in cali not boston thats the opposite of a homecoming going to boston. Good video but some stuff was just odd like this comment

  12. My thoughts. This is an all in. Truly an all in. I see if the next 2 years fail becuase thats all we get with this brown is on the block and they quick rebuild on a 4 year plan to win with tatum when he hits his 30s. Well see how it plays out. Go c's

  13. Every report I’ve seen has Bos giving 2 first round picks not 3. GS’s top 4 protected 2024 and Bos’ own unprotected 2029 first rd pick.

  14. Farewell, timelord 💪 . Wish him the best in portland. Glad to have jrue running point. Hope this move hits, because the celtics have had a revolving door with these PGs. Need stability. Jrue's an older guy but they're in win now mode

  15. That writer only said that because it sounded good in his head. The Bucks swapped Holiday for Dame. They switched a defensive starter for literally one of the 10 best players in the game and a top 5 scorer in the league. Celtics gave up their best defender/ big to get a defensive guard/ playmaker. And they kept old Horford as their only other big guy to Kristaps. I don't see how that gives Celtics "the lead". What a foolish thing to say. Those guys need to prove themselves first and actually win a title. Had all the talent in the world and was down 0-3 to Miami.

  16. Boston had the deepest bench in the league last year. But when the playoffs hit the only played 7 or 8 players

  17. Celtics gave up two FRP not three as you put in your graphic. It can’t be that hard to get that right.

  18. 2 first round picks, not 3, and one is Warriors 2024. Losing Williams hurt a bit, but he's been hurt so much, he wasn't able to be counted on. Playing behind Ayton might keep him on the court, but he wasn't the same defender last year when he finally played. We won't need Jrue to put up 20, but his defense will be crucial after losing Smart.

  19. Stoked about Jrue, spices things up bigtime in the East, and we picked up Neemias Queta who was runner-up for MVP of the G-League this past year — he appears to be Rob-like, just saying.
