[Katz] I asked Thibs about more passes correlating to more turnovers. Knicks moved the ball super well tonight but also had 16 TO. Thibs: “I know you’re counting passes. I’m counting wins.”

When you play uptempo, you’re going to generate more turnovers.
Stats lie a lot. 16 turnovers isn’t much when you score over 125 points. That’s just the nature of the beast. 16 turnovers is noteworthy if you can’t crack 100 points.

It didn’t help that a few turnovers from the top of my head were just careless mistakes: that inbound pass to start 4Q, that Brunson sideline pass with like 3 minutes left, and that Grimes fumble.
Also not gonna give Randle a pass here… he also had a couple of fumbles too.
I’m more concerned about late game pressure situation turnovers. Clean that stuff up or have issues during the playoffs and against good teams.
On a related note, NBA.com has video clips to many stats now. Has that always been there?

You can click on each player’s turnover stat and see a clip of it. Some of them were unforced lapses of concentration, some of them weren;t.
