  1. How can they ruin their team if the Bulls has already been ruined since DRose getting hurt and MJ retired?

  2. The Bulls aren’t just bad at drafting, they’re bad at developing. Players get better after leaving the organization.

  3. I tried to tell everyone this was going to happen when they got DeRozan and got laughed at. DeRozan always looked amazing in the early season for the Spurs, I remember when Spurs fans were talking like they won the Kawhi trade. But once the rest of the league starts caring after the allstar break he isn't capable of leading his team to wins. Same thing happened in Chicago. I love that DeRozan always came ready to play from the opening tip of the season but he's just not enough of a talent to build around. I was so glad the Spurs got a first round pick out of trading him because he was good enough you couldn't tank with him but not enough to keep the Spurs off the mediocrity treadmill once Aldridge started declining.

  4. Its worth mentioning that the bulls did not own their 2023 draft pick. It belonged to the magic (top 4 protected) so blowing it up at the deadline would've been a dice roll on if you even keep the pick

  5. I think the excuse of "they are bad at drafting. they're just getting unlucky draft spots" is nonsense. The real issue is the lack of identifying ability, the best example of a team with this is the Celtics trading out of the #1 pick for the sure fire lock of Markelle Fultz to drop to 3 and draft Tatum. The Bulls had the chance to do this and improve their future multiple times

  6. Extremely sad Bulls fan here, and this new Front Office, AKME, is just GarPax 2.0

    – Signed and traded for mid-All-Star talent (DeRozan and Vucevic), solid complimentary Role Players (Lonzo, Caruso), and add Zach LaVine to the core. Solid team, but only good enough to show up in the Playoffs and not winning a championship at all. (Only 1 Playoff appearance FML)
    – Add to the fact that in order to acquire DeRozan and Vucevic, they had to make deals on PICK SWAPS. OMFG. We don't own any of our picks until 2029. An abysmal decision. We could've added players like Franz Wagner, or anyone else in these past Lottery Picks.
    – Traded away promising Lottery Picks in Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr., and then decided to keep the worst Lottery Pick in mediocre Coby White. And for those Bulls fans say he's our future Point Guard — "Stop. Get some help."
    – In the 2020 Draft, we could've drafted Tyrese Haliburton (who I was high on), with the 4th PICK, but decided to settle for… Patrick Williams. I didn't believe those Kawhi comparisons, and I felt he could've been like an OG Anunoby level type of guy, but like Tucker said, he's "lost" out there.
    – I get that they wanted to get a Forward and not draft Haliburton because I guess the Front Office was dialed in on signing Lonzo Ball. Unfortunately, Lonzo went down, and is out for TWO SEASONS. I hope he does return healthy, but I feel like he won't be the same player (athletic-wise). Even if Lonzo was healthy, I don't know if the Bulls would be competing for any championships, as we lack any size (no one 6'8 and built strong), and our three best players (The "Mid-3" LaVine, DeRozan, Vucevic) can't play a lick of defense.
    – Other stupid decisions: gave Billy Donovan a 'secret' extension when better coaches Nick Nurse, Monty Williams, Ime Udoka became available in the off-season, drafted Dalen Terry who isn't looking NBA-ready and we could've got Walker Kessler, signed 3-&-D Role Players in Free Agenecy but did nothing to improve anything in the long haul, like I said can't trade any of our First-Round picks because we don't OWN them, and we're good enough to somewhat make the Play-In but not win anything, and yet we're not bad enough to get a top-4 Lottery Pick (that we possibly can't own). This dumb ass organization.

    * If possible, I would like a soft ReTool. Try to get young players who are in frustrating situations like Jaden Ivey, Deni Avdija, I'll take a shot with James Wiseman (even though he's been looking like a Bust).

  7. To me the Bulls are just the prime example of the tragedy Lonzo’s career has been when he was there healthy this team worked

  8. The raptors should have blown it up last year too. Instead we traded our first round pick this year for Jakob Poeltl. Which is horrible and getting worse by the week. As we drop lower and lower. If we end up picking 7th and lose that pick, would be a disaster.

  9. Wait wait wait??? Nobody was going to take Haliburton 4th overall? Big lie, it was one of the favorites, it was a shocker he fell out of the top 10, everyone knew he would be good. You can go to first take and Max Kellerman said he'd take Haliburton with the #1 pick because of how good he is

  10. Sadly i dont think their actually gonna blow it up. Lavine is demanding a trade. Theyll prob keep the rest of the team at least for the season unfortunately

  11. Get off the Vooch trade! WCJ was and still is ass, otto was just salary filler that carried over from the use it or lose it Jabri Parker signing and the 2 picks were a good price for an allstar top 5 center putting up 21 and 11. Do you expect teams to just give you players such as Vooch??

It was a good trade at the time and i still stand by the trade today.its the kind that you want your front office to make eventho in hindsight it hasn't amounted to much.

  12. The main hinsight screw up the Bulls made was buliding around Zach, and even then i can't really fault them too much cause Zach was looking like the best thing this team could hitch its wagon to.

But keeping Zach ment they needed a closer to take the heat off Zach, which is why they went and got Demar.hell literally every move AK has made can literally be linked back to buliding around Zach. You dont like getting Vooch? Well then you also don't like buliding around Zach cause Vooch on paper was damn near perfect player to add around Zach.

  13. As a Bulls fan, I say trade anyone of value to the highest bidder, compile assets, and tank. I believe they only owe one future 1st and it's top-10 protected, so unlike some teams, tanking is an option.

  14. Yea I wanted use to rebuild like the bears doing we know why they bad but the bulls shouldn’t be this bad we need a new coach as well

  15. This team is a disaster. The front office is not capable of building this team. The trade for Ball and drafting Williams was mistake. The hiring of a coach who's not good was also another mistake

  16. Im more shocked people dont mention the Bulls have never at least tried to replace Lonzo.
Clearly there was potential (Deffo not contenders) to be a consistent playoff team if they sought to replace him quickly. Now, theyre too late and exposed.

  17. Drafting Pat has turned out to be a huge mistake, but remember that was 2020 and teams weren't allow to scout nor have in person workouts and there weren't many college games as by June/July that year everything was shut down.

Pat was a Mistake but that whole draft was a coin toss for every team.

  18. Until wendell carter becomes an allstar i wont regret trading him. Lavine wanted allstar help and the front office got him an allstar

  19. Tucker I remember when Lonzo was healthy. People were saying how overrated first round picks were and how good of a trade it was

  20. Wendell lauri demar Zach and zo/Caruso sounds so good. The defense , rebounding and spacing all would’ve been great around Zach and demar what could’ve been.

  21. I feel like their failure is bcuz of 3 things:

    1: Lonzo getting injuried

    2: drafting Patrick Williams

3: trading Wendell Carter for vucevic (kinda)

  22. One of my buddies is a bulls fan and i’m a diehard MAGIC 🪄 fan, we finessed 🤷‍♂️ Weltham FTW.

In the Bulls defense though, before Zo got hurt they were the number one seed

  23. Actually, Patrick Williams is very good defender. He guard very well Doncic and Bachero for example. But yes, this Bulls roster and situation have killed him mentally!

  24. 2019, they could've drafted Rui Hachimura.
2020, they could've drafted Cole Anthony.
    Imagine a lineup of:
    LaVine
    Anthony
    Hachimura
    DeRozan
    Vucevic

  25. Still remember when everyone in Chigaco blamed Lauri for bad results. Now couple years later Bulls are still looking like trash and Lauri is MIP and Allstar 😂
