Dre was doing fine before his finger injury. Every year it’s the same shit. He doesn’t want to be branded “Injury prone” with his history so he plays through every injury, it affects his game and he’s suddenly way shittier than before.
He gets the most open looks right now and is missing them at an incredible rate, but him shooting everytime he has an open look is exactly the mentality Quin is trying to instill in the team. If anything, he’s been one of the players quickest to initially adapt to the new system offensively.
Defensively, holy shit he’s gotten so much worse as a PoA defender, and even with that decline he’s still the best point of attack defender on the team. Bey is completely lost on defense until he’s in the paint, Bogi plays like a man that’s suffered multiple knee injuries, and Jalen Johnson is steadily improving, but still overcommits on a lot of possessions(Which is masked by how good his recovery ability is thanks to how athletic he is.)
