Why doesn’t Klay just stop dribbling? Is he stupid?

  2. WisdomCow

Makes me wonder how many contested threes he has taken, his percentage on them, and where they rank.

  3. Klay is a high volume shooter though. How many has he missed..?

What are we supposed to do with this information? Is it good or is it bad?

    That’s his game! Always been!

No idea why he decided dribbling is also his game now…

Now imagine having another playmaker out there with him and Steph 😭😭😭

Klay not dribbling is such a good player

its always an adventure when he takes more than 3 dribbles.

This is why Dray has been missed. Need that other ball handler to set him up and provide screens.

something something but he’s washed so we should trade him for a bag of chips

Those are the only type of threes he should be shooting.

    Klay been fine lately.

I’d argue he’s been even good for what we come to expect from him post Klank start.

He’s not 40mil good but he’s not the biggest problem anymore. That’s Wiggins and the lack of defensive identity from our wings

He should stop dribbling and just shoot.

Can you save us time and write how many he already made?

We can this stat / that stat until the cows come home but, at the core of things, the NBA has evolved into a league where *efficiency* is king (the Ws revolutionizing the 3 ball was, quite arguably, the first piece in the evolution).

The PPFGA for an *average* NBA player this year is 1.29 PPFGA.

Steph, despite his recent travails, as always, remains elite at 1.42.

Klay, of the 12 Ws to play 250+ mins, ranks 8th of the 12 at 1.22 ahead of only Podz (1.18), CP (1.17), GP2 (1.10) & Wiggs (1.10).

Since his return, Klay has scored less efficiently than the average NBA player in each season.

Now the guy will KILL catch and shoot 3s until (and after) he retires but it’s *all the other TERRIBLE shots* that sink his efficiency.

    It’s not rocket science.

The issue was never that he isn’t a great catch and shoot specialist, the issue is that being a catch and shoot specialist is not usually enough to lock you in as a 30+ mpg starter on a max contract
