The Oklahoma City Thunder have secured the #1 seed in the Western Conference. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has put on a performance this season worthy of having him in MVP conversations, Chet Holmgren has made an immediate winning impact in his rookie season, and Jalen Williams is one of the most improved second year players we’ve seen in a long time.
All of this is great. But can they actually win it all? Even more, can they get out of the first round? The OKC Thunder potentially face some interesting matchups with possibly facing the Los Angeles Lakers in round 1 depending on how the play-in tournament shakes out, and the Lakers have done a good job against the Thunder this year.
But outside of them, the Thunder have done a fantastic job against mostly every team in the Western Conference this year, and they’ve put together a track record of being great against great teams. So can they win it all?
