Id like to call Jason's FTA argument bad faith — because it is — but more accurately, its just a stupid argument that he's making. Sure, bad defenders get blown past and dont contest shots well, but they try to make up for it by grabbing, over-committing, and being out of position to guard soundly. They dont just flail around like a matador giving guys free lanes. You can go back to last nights game and see when AD could do literally nothing to stop Jokic when he had low postion and would just grab Jokic around the waist. This would occur right in front of the baseline ref and he just wouldn't call it. Of course you can use a "how much a team" fouls stat as supposed "proof" of a team not fouling when the refs dont call the fouks they actually commit. 🙄

It’s not that the lakers don’t have the talent they just don’t have the same IQ level as Denver tactically. They play just like the old school spurs. Everyone knows their position and role and does exactly as they should.
Lakers could get 50 FT’s a game lose and still would complain to the refs they didn’t get enough calls
The thing is if you watch the Lakers or Nuggets play the Lakers have players who foul bait and not so much with the Nuggets. Jokic does have possessions where he does but for the most part the Nuggets focus on making shots. There's plenty of guys in the league that foul bait. I personally don't like to see parietal hunting contact but I understand why players do it. My issue is if you're one of those players then I don't want to see you crying because someone does the same thing to you (foul baiting). As for this game of y'all pay attention you'll notice Davis, Reaves, Russell, and Prince hunting contact but most Nuggets players are hunting easy shots.
Who knew a skillful big would be LeBrons kryptonite oddly enough that’s all the other guy faced back in his day.

Lakers were #2 in FTA this year. I dont remember everyone screaming conspiracy about the Orlando Magic and all of their free throw attempts.
The Lakers also only shot 4 more free throws per game than #28 in the league (spurs).

Damn My Lakers are ass. So this was a bad shooting game from Murray, don't expect much more. We play tomorrow with 2 days rest with Lebron and AD playing 40 mins. Trust me do get calls, we don't have too make excuses for my team. Its bad we all know, AD pulled Jokic's Jersey and no call, Denver plays inside out so they play from the paint to the 3.
It was really funny to recognize the times Jason was making the same points as the Awful Coaching channel, but with a lot less screaming.
You being such a generalist when you say things like “oh there’s grifters on the lakers team.” lol yeah bro there’s a lot of those in the nba. It’s not like the lakers have the only grifters in the whole league. Yet they are the ones getting all the free throws. Nuggets scored more in the paint they were the home team had the bigger star on there team, have the bigger team. Every thing you want to say I can literally counter.
