he is not our 3rd option? he just initiates the offense less because his mobility and ball handling are worse than booker/beal. Him and Booker are far and away the top options.
also, this graphic is pretty misleading. the reason it looks this way is because Beal was hurt most of the season before all star break. adding a player who is top-3 in touches will always result in a decrease in everyone else’s touches.
edit: it even shows in the graph that he has by far the highest usage rate, and the lowest AST%, meaning he is getting the ball a ton and he’s expected to shoot when he does. the numbers that are higher for Booker/Beal are a direct result of initiating possession. you can run the ball 100% of the time and your QB will still lead the team in touches.

This is extremely misleading and not what I see. Alot of DHOs at the top of the key which dont mean much. Imagine if KD got the ball in the post, wouldnt that be something.
