Zaccharie Risacher completed his workout for the Hawks.
I personally don’t think the Hawks are interested in taking Sarr at 1. Hope I’m wrong because I want him but it seems Risacher at 1 or move down for Clingan.
When the important decision makers (GM, assistant GM, Head coach) all take an overseas flight to see a prospect play live, you have to take that seriously. If they weren’t that into him they would have just watched the tape, that’s a long flight.
Similar thing happened when the Falcons dudes flew to see Penix pro day. People didn’t take it seriously but those guys aren’t wasting their time for a guy they’re not seriously considering drafting.
It’s hard to tell but right now I think they may be leaning toward Risacher with the 1st pick.

If so I low key wish we never won the lottery. There are players available at 10 that I would be more excited about for less than half the cap hit.

Regardless of how the Hawks feel about Sarr they’re going to host a workout for him. It’s just a matter of time. It would be crazy negligence to not get a closer look at one of the top guys and signal to everyone that you aren’t interested.

Random source lol but I heard on a hawks related locked on wizards episode recently that some top prospects were ducking coming to Atlanta to work out for the team.
Sarr may be in that group. If that’s the case I definitely believe the rumblings that Sarr wants to handle the ball a lot as a PF and doesn’t see a path to doing that in Atlanta. Anyways I bet we are interested in Risacher but I also bet that us being interested in him raises the price to trade up to #1. If the Spurs really are interested in that trade it’s definitely so they can get Risacher.
Edit: Actually it wouldn’t surprise me at all if we like Risacher enough to draft him, and then if Clingan is still available at 4 the Spurs draft him and then we make a trade after. If the Rockets take Clingan we just keep Risacher.
