Guard depth ig? Kinda confused why we didn’t go Furphy unless Tyson can shoot from deep

Edit: 46% from 3?? Yeah okay we move

  2. opiumdom

man these 6’6” sorta wings sorta guards bother the hell out of me. i have faith though, heard him in a couple of interviews and seems to be confident in his abilities.

  3. in this thread: a bunch of gm’s who knew the right pick

  4. jabbamarcusrussell

Lol last pick we control for almost a decade and we do this shit

  5. DMPDT616

Need a wing? Plenty available? Nah…. LETS GO SG W/ 2ND ROUND GRADE

  6. Jfc it’s the 20th pick in a weak draft, y’all. Odds are whoever we take isn’t contributing anyways.

  7. PatientlyAnxious9

Oh good, another player who is not a SF

  8. TheLandFanIn814

That’s not how you spell Enrique Freeman

  9. Impossible_Fennel_94

There’s a reach and then there’s whatever this is

Cal fan here…no one watched Cal play basketball this year so can’t tell you if he’s good.

  11. radiantether

He seems like a “win now” type pick – physical with limited upside.

  12. I was hoping for Filipowski or DaRon Holmes so we could actually have a 3rd big to play next to either Allen or Mobley. Will be disappointed if we just run it back with Niang

I’m ok with this pick, 2 or a 3, can shoot

  14. rkennedy991

I mean, it’s a weak draft, so I’m not surprised. Just took the best player they could in the position that we needed help with.

Must be a secret “every team needs a jay***” on their squad rule.

Like the pick. One of my guys. People saying he’s a guard need to watch tape from Texas Tech. 6’6.5″ in shoes that can do it all. He’s a wing with shooting and playmaking upside that was forced to be the lead initiator on a bad Cal team.

We needed a wing or a big and everyone is mad looking at his progression and shooting he looks pretty good, and this just might be a replacement for levert

I’m no expert on Tyson, but he was on my list of guys in this area of the draft that I liked. He can definitely be a player if he develops- has a good all around skill set.

  19. midwestmikey3

So we have a total of 1.5 forwards on the team and we go with another guard 🙃

  20. I like this pick. Then again, I watch zero college basketball outside of March Madness so who knows.

  21. Indomitable_Dan

Damnn, we were so close to having Knecht drop to us 😩

  22. Lumpycentaur9

I like the pick. I would’ve preferred Holmes, but I’m good with Tyson. 6’6, 218 pounds, shot 36% from three last season, and can handle the ball. Sounds like the kind of player this team desperately needs! He could be a LeVert replacement or he could eventually become this team’s starting SF. I’m excited he’s a Cavalier!

  23. Expensive_Dig9008

I have no opinion on this pick. Not sure there was a clear better option. I think the guys they wanted went off the board a few picks before we picked. Maybe they will trade back in.

  24. GyattLuvr69

I wish we could have gotten De Silva but this dude looks like he can replace Caris, so that’s nice.

  25. d43allen

What happened to getting a 6’9 or 6’10 SF

  26. Don’t worry guys, made this pick for another team, he’ll be pulled after 2 summer league games and then promptly traded once enough time has passed
