Kel’el Ware Postgame Interview | Miami HEAT vs. Golden State Warriors | July 6, 2024
uh it feel good to you know step out on the court but you know first game J is but that it so second game it’ll be way better but it definitely felt good just being back on the court and you know not like practice but actually being in like a real game game situation so felt great how comfortable did you feel defensively with the thing like slow down at some point that block I mean well I always been working on my shot blocking so I feel like the defense was always there I mean of course you know my shot wasn’t follow so I wanted like my defense to you know I guess shine more than my offense was today so I feel like I did that a little bit all right madx we’ll go with zoom all right Iris sen Sentinel go ahead hell we always hear when guys come to summer league and then even more so in preseason the NBA game is bigger stronger and faster did you sense a different game than your time in college today when it came to the strength and the speed and the pace uh not really I don’t know if many say that or say that answer but I don’t know to me it didn’t really feel much of like a difference it was just more of just the you know scenario like the the environment that I was in so I would say that just you know just getting used to being on the NBA floor and you know playing you know with the NBA crowd and all of that stuff so in college you obviously can get by in your skill level and what you did well and yet you might also on this level need to be an energy player and you rebound it you block shots even when you got got off to that one of six starts you were active is that something that you’re consciously thinking of that at the least you can show that you can be an active aggressive and and honestly change the narrative and show you’re a high motor player yeah I mean yeah like I said earlier you know on offense you know I really wasn’t you know shining like that so I wanted to you know have my defense show more and and really I feel like that’s what coach B and is going to want for me is my on the defensive end and just been able to rebound the ball so I feel that if I can show that I could do that and then you know that’ll help me be on the court
