A great get for a Bucks team that had limited roster flexibility coming into the offseason.

  2. thefred_mcgriff

Great starting SG as long as he plays within his role.

  3. NevermoreSEA

Seeing Gary and Dame back on the same team warms my heart.

  4. ZoroChopper10

Really really great get for bucks

For minimum or tax payers mle this is no brainer

Trent is gonna put up numbers with how open he’s gonna be with giannis and Lillard

  5. kyleb402

That’s some good work by Jon Horst to get him on a minimum.

  6. Bro really signed for the minimum, amazing get for the Bucks.

  7. __Zoom123__

LFG. Hes even better than Beasley who he’s replacing

  8. Neuroxex

Not gonna be sad to have Gary Trent Jr on a minimum contract, but I do feel bad for him. Unless you show out defensively (please Gary please I am begging please show out defensively) these ‘prove it’ deals feel like they just get turned into TPMLE’s, not the $15m a year that was apparently on the table before.

Competent starting SG back on the roster, brings a tear to my eyes

  10. For not having too much to work with, Bucks have done a great job, getting Prince, Trent, and Wright

  11. Wish Gary all the best, he was nothing short of a professional for his Raptors tenure.

Shame that the Norman Powell trade has officially ended as a dud, but it is what it is.

Just saw the alert and loudly said “Fuck Yeah!” at a Costco as a family passed by. Sorry kids, Gary Trent Jr. just took a massive paycut to chase a ring with us, you’re getting some joyous profanity today.

  13. Cheechers23

I figured Dame would recruit him to Milwaukee

  14. WobbleKun

damn a real bet on yourself year. hope he pops off this year.

  15. ElbowDown

We signed a starting caliber player for the Min…

Narrator: “It’s okay. We’ll try again next year, Gary.”

  17. SliMShady55222

That’s gonna be one bad defensive backcourt

  18. The_Sign_of_Zeta

I want you to put the word out there we back up.

  19. ElbowDown

Our offseason has been wayyyy better than I expected. Delon Wright, Taurian Prince, Gary Trent Jr replace Pat Bev, Malik Beasley, and the ghost of Jae Crowder

  20. alphalobster200

good for my Bucks bros. GTJ was on my wish list. just can’t compete with a glamour market like Milwaukee.

  21. Huge upgrade from Beasley. Trent is actually an nba player. I expect him to have a great season on the Bucks

  22. FrankSamples

This guy was once traded for Norman Powell…

    What happened?

  23. Wooden-Stable-1476

Just a week ago, some guy was telling me on here that we didn’t have a shot at getting him. Ironically, a Pacers fan reassured me that we would get him and here we are today. Go Bucks!

  24. ClashQuester

Glad Gary found a great fit, but he fumbled the bag big time

  25. Just feel bad for Gary, he should’ve taken the 15M deal that was on the table.

  26. MusclyArmPaperboy

Thanks Gary. Go get one with Dame.

  27. Skyfalcon5

Very good signing. Defense will be terrible but that was always the case anyway. At least now you have elite shooting around Giannis. Got to outscore teams.

  28. Far-Asparagus6416

Great signing. People are vastly underestimating Milwaukee, their roster is definitely old and not without its flaws but they’re absolutely in the running for a championship… wouldn’t surprise me at all if Dame looked more like his usual self this upcoming season and if he does this team is gonna be a problem

  29. Snafudumonde

Seemed like such an obvious Beasley replacement

  30. RVAIsTheGreatest

He lost a lot of leverage when the Raps washed their hands of him completely. Milwaukee couldn’t S&T him anyway but he lost other S&T options. When the Sixers cap ran dry, it became clear, a minimum was what he would have to accept.

Beasley wasn’t great defensively last year but he was not a trainwreck. It seems some on here disagree with that, but the numbers and eye test say he was not great but not awful. But he was below average on the defensive end. He played hard on that end but is a bad off ball defender.

Trent is historically been less-than-par on defense, but that’s gone to bad recently. Not total sieve bad but bad. He was fine enough early in his career in Portland when he put the effort in. I don’t think he will ever be an average defender because I don’t think he has the tools to be, but he can at least give something on that end and I think we’ll see that this season in Milwaukee.

Beasley is the better overall shooter but Trent is the more versatile scorer. GTJ is an elite C&S guy when open…was the best in the NBA last season. He’s also a very good pull up shooter historically, but Beasley is the better shooter off screens. Still, the C&S ability makes him a fantastic fit with these Bucks, he’s gonna get open looks. He should thrive.

Beasley got more than the minimum but only $6M. Think if Trent wants more money than that he would be best served to really focus on the defensive end and show he can contribute outside of making 3’s.

  31. ChameleonWins

I think he’s gonna try like a mf in order to get a big contract by the end of the season, this benefits the bucks

  32. spider2Ybanana

Did Trent get Nerlens Noel’d by Rich Paul? A vet min is crazy.

  33. trinquin

Not a Shroder level fumble, but a fumble for our benefit none the less.

  34. WeefBellington24

Fell to my knees in the checkout line at Kwik Trip when I heard the news

  35. smoothsoul23

Wish GTJ the best with Bucks.

He’s in a good situation now feeding off the attention of Giannis, Dame and even Middleton get could do wonders for

him. He’s capable of some big scoring games even if he’s streaky.

This quietly means the end of the Thanasis era 🫡
