Why Steph Curry Loves To Exploit Rudy Gobert On The Perimeter

It’s been a miserable month as a Warriors fan, but you can always expect them to bounce back against the Timberwolves. Steph Curry broke the losing streak by anticipating the Minnesota big men’s perimeter defense, led by Rudy Gobert, including clutch buckets that extended the lead. I wanted to break down how Curry found daylight on his way to 31 points and 10 assists, so let’s get to it.

  1. well they did blow the lead but ended up winning.. we got lucky Kerr's brain dead coaching didn’t cost us.. Curry bailed him out

  2. Schröder's (Shrow-duhr) pass to Curry on that dagger wasn't even great, Steph nearly had to pick up the ball off the floor. 😅😂

But luckily there was enough time to get the shot off. 😊🙏

  3. "Can we please get more on Ball action for Curry… Pick & Roll…" This is what Park keeps stressing. Along with proper positional size

  4. Funny how Steph gets over 30 min and scores over 30 points. Steve Kerr is the REAL DPOY, cause hes the only man in the league who can stop Steph without traps & doubles.

  5. Forget a defensive set. I will never understand these confusions. Where in any case, the guy closest to the ball should ALWAYS pick up. Dont care if it's your man or not, cuz at the end of the day, miscommunications lead open shots. You can try to teach it, but you cant always expect another player to see what you see.

  6. warriors gameplan every game is like dragon ball, where the side characters buy some time till goku (curry) arrives to carry them🤦🏻‍♂️ fcking clownshow

  7. what no one brings up is Draymond Green being in the game causes them playing the old warriors way, it's the only way he can play…it's low key the elephant in the room and everyone keeps asking for more classic plays but it's the draymond issue, he unfortunately needs to be traded, great player but no longer fits

  8. While it's fashionable to lambaste Gobert, he's not the issue. What your clips show is that Minnesota has lost the concept of team defense, which just so happens to have coincided with them bringing on Randle. Rudy is playing his part, but appears to be exposed when his teammates don't play theirs.

  9. "Can we please get more on ball action for Curry".
That and having more Center play, please.
But in reality what are we truly going to get?
Draymond at the 5, tinier lineups( dray 5, 3 guards and Wiggs/JK at the 4) with LESS steph on ball PNR, and MORE motion offense with Draymond holding the ball at the top of the key 😂

  10. Great stuff as always.

How do you feel about more actions during a game using Steph as an inverted ballscreener?

If one of the main points of the motion offense is to use Steph's gravity to get easier looks for others, would abusing a simple Steph ballscreen for Wiggs and Kuminga be good?

  11. Man, if you wanna beat Curry, you have to guard him with all you got even if he’s having a bad shooting night. A little bit of space, he’ll shoot in your face. 😂😂

  12. Everytime the Warriors beat a team, media and bronexuals would hate on that team that the Warriors have beaten.

  13. That 73-9 Was only possible because the league did not know how to guard off ball Steph actions. Alongside Draymond feeds. Bogut being their rim protector made games eaiser to an extent.
