completely agree w James Ham. yes Fox maybe did what he did to put pressure on the kings but how much patience is Fox required to have? it was a long time coming. terrible trade. if i couldnt even include a better 1st round, keldon johnson, or sochan to use as assets, i would have waited til the season was over to see what my options were bc the deal we got made us worse. what does richard jefferson say? the kings are going to kings?
Why are we here arguing and upset over getting the worst end of the deal? We are the Kings. Our GM's have never been better than the rest of the league. We will always get the worst end of the deal, because we will always be negotiating from a position of weakness with a front office that can't close. Monte is Jack Lemmon in Glengarry Glen Ross… "the leads are weak."
Pat Riley, Sam Presti, Danny Ainge, (pick any current GM) and Monte are sitting in a room together. Who wins the negotiation? Why aren't we more focused on improving this franchise at its Foundation?

Fox's OVERRATED DEFENSE.

So whenever i hear boneheaded people say fox IS A GREAT TWO WAY PLAYER/DEFENSIVE PLAYER.

Want to credit james for being spot on about this trade. Many kings media members are trying to put a positive spin on this which I understand putting out good vibes but i do believe it’s dishonest (and maybe good for business?). In reality this team as of rn has not fixed anything, added more weakness on d, and added no real blue chip assets for the future in a pick or young player. This teams timeline is accelerated with lavine and theres no plan B in case we remain mid. As always this team is buying high and selling low and still not committing to an actual rebuild but a half assed retooling.
You know, thinking about what Kyle said "You traded Fox for Lavine, Cam Johnson, and Jonas Valanciunas?" plus you probably still have picks….Ummm yeah you take that trade! Fox is not all that, hes an amazing player but we are not talking about a guy who is balling his ass off.
