Jimmy Butler makes Steph Curry & Golden State Warriors LEGIT NBA title contenders | Hoops Tonight

Jason Timpf is back with another exciting episode of Hoops Tonight, taking a deep dive into the new-look Golden State Warriors led by recent trade acquisition Jimmy Butler, the former Miami Heat superstar. Jason starts off by explaining how the fresh-faced Dubs are utilizing superstar Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler’s complimentary offensive skills and wonders how this affects their short, but potentially impactful, NBA championship window. Jason salutes the Warriors front office for acquiring a second-fiddle to pair with Steph Curry, who is still playing at a championship level in the Association. After, Jason breaks down why the Milwaukee Bucks, led by former MVP and NBA champion Giannis Antetokounmpo and guard Damian Lillard, are looking competitive after trading for Kyle Kuzma from the Washington Wizards. Timpf dives into what Kuzma provides for the scrappy Milwaukee Bucks and how his commitment to playing winning basketball could be hugely impactful for the Bucks. Finally, Timpf GOES OFF on Joel Embiid’s lackluster effort as the Philadelphia 76ers continue to disappoint as a Larry O’Brien contender.

  1. The depth and originality of Jason’s content is literally unmatched in the Basketball world.

I would love to see if you could pull some massive coaching names for interviews and breakdowns because of how deep your knowledge is. Incredible stuff really.

    Go Warriors

  2. How good has the Warriors front office been over the last four years? They drafted Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Trace Jackson Davis, Brandin Podziemski, Quinten Post and Gui Santos, and going back before that, Kevon Looney, Draymond Green and Steph Curry. Are there any other teams in the league with nine players on the roster who have been with the organization since day one?

  3. As a Heat fan and Jimmy fan, I'm super excited for the extreme national Jimmy Butler glaze that he's going to start getting now the he's not on the Heat anymore. I can finally see some deeper analysis from other outlets than local

  4. Jimmy's a TIGER…he'll fine-tune JK's attack game…
They might not have enough to go all the way..but they're gonna scare somebody…

  5. Hey Jason awesome takes as ever, love your channel. What's your thoughts about Draymond's role in near future as Jimmy apparently more and more will take his job as Steph's partner in crime? Like he can do everything draymond can and also put pressure to score and finish on the rim. Looks like if Draymond doesn't adapt or can't play the five anymore will make him obsolete.

  6. The warriors were down 30 to a bulls team that scored 29 points against the bulls and that game against the bucks didn’t move me either, bucks are below .500 in games Gianni’s doesn’t play in.

  7. Warriors upgraded on offense and defense. Lakers upgraded on offense but got worse on defense.

  8. Yah got a rookie center who is a stretch 5. Got a Guy who can get to the ft line and get a hard 2. Yah got a defensive savant. Yah got the best shooter ever.

  9. Jason, how can you say the Warriors are a legitimate title contender after 2 games, against fairly compromised opposition. I'm a Warriors supporter, but even I'm not going to gaslight people into thinking the Dubs are even a playoff team at the moment. Curry is 37 years old, he's not close to being the same player from the 2020/2021 season when he carried the Dubs to a play-in loss. The Dubs still have too many issues and a not enough talent to even be considered a playoff team.

  10. Wait the Warriors are contenders but he speaks about about the Lakers as if they need to pray before they think about contending…
