While some players were not playing well (MPJ and the bench aside from Russ), the loss should be squarely on Malone for failing to ADJUST early against the Lakers. While he does take blame here, the loss should be stressed as primarily a coaching failure, both prior and in-game.
Despite being a Nuggets fan, I'm glad that they got their teeth kicked in. Poor performance by everyone shows the team isn't perfect and they are being too chummy with their play this season in spite of the win streak. I hope they are chewing out each other for today, fixing what needs to be fixed (whether its their attitude coming into the game, the turnovers, the defense, the shooting, etc.).

This Game was Rigged.
THEY wanted to establish Luka as the Lakers’ savior and James’ super pal,
framing Jokic under the Laker's basket, swirled and beaten by three guys.
He was told not to take the three shots (one and done?) but to lumber around,
leaving his teammates confused to make turnovers and miss easy shots.
They played lame to emphasize how well the Lakers played.
Those with open eyes have seen the scheme; the sleepers will deny and cheer up the rig. Melone is a part of the scheme not permitting and adjusting the team to play their common way of fast and powerful plays. (… pathetically "saving" Jokic by taking away his playing time, when he is really needed. He also stole Nikola's triple-double many times with the same lame attitude.)

Wait till the refs start calling fouls on Braun. Dude is an absolute hack. I'm a long time fan of Russ but he's gonna be a problem for Nuggets at some point in playoffs, playing inefficient and turning the ball over. Reality check: the nuggets defense has declined, and when MJP is off, it's a Lotta pressure on Joker and Murray. Very interesting to see that exposed even if it's only one game.

Nugs just never put in specialized gameplans in the regular season, it isn't their strategy. Sucks for us fans who want to see a big win on national TV but it is what it is.

No offensive rebounding for Nuggets either which no one has mentioned. But Malone predicted there'll be highs and lows from the all star game to the playoffs, and he wasn't whistling Dixie. They'll have plenty of highs coming up. too. Bummed in the moment, but no way the Nuggets stay this down and the Lakers stay this up for the duration. This was an aberration, not a trend.
