Not a basketball play at all! A foul like that would have gotten you a quick combo to the face and a fine back when guys demanding respect and basketball etiquette was in full affect. You would never hard foul another player knowing it could cause injury or possibly out for the rest of the season, unless you were ready to face the consequences on the court.
