I guess I'll have to disagree with James on Ace Bailey. He's okay, but I'm not taking him at three. He's just not that impressive to me. Check his advanced stats on Tankathon and you'll understand why.
That Minnesota game Sunday will be quite interesting. I think Utah has to go for it and try to get a 2nd lottery pick
Here are my top 8 players in the draft: Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, VJ Edgecombe, Khaman Maluach, Kon Knueppel, Ace Bailey, Jase Richardson and Colin Murray-Boyles — in that order.
To me, Kon Knueppel is one of those "glue guys" that make a team hum. He doesn't get the notoriety of Cooper Flagg, but Duke would not have advanced to the Final Four without Knueppel. Kon is 6'7", 217 pounds, shoots 40% 3-pt and 91% ft. He's also an "in-your-face" defender. The one knock on him is his lateral quickness is suspect. Still, he managed to average one steal per game this season. He's also a guy you can rely on in clutch situations because he doesn't panic when faced with adversity.
At four, Khaman Maluach is worth the gamble. His upside looks great. He's an athletic 7'2" — 250 pound center, with a 7'5" wingspan, shoots 77% ft, has good hands and hits the occasional 3-point shot. He's also quick enough to keep up with most guards. The amazing thing is — the guy has only been playing organized basketball for 5 years. Plus, he's only 18 years old. He's definitely worth the gamble at four.
The next game will be the first game in a while where I want the Jazz to win for their own good. Yo, if the Jazz win against Minnesota, Minnesota will be in a play in game. If they lose the play in games and miss the playoffs, they would get a few lottery balls for the top four spots. So the Jazz actually have better odds to be in the top 4 spots if the Jazz win. And if both picks end up in the top four?!?! Holy crud. Not the best odds but one can hope. Haha
Love it nerd!!! You are finally seeing the value of sensei !! Dude is a bucket year 4-5 15-18 off the bench he has that in his repertoire. If a late first rounder ends up as a 8-9 man that’s a win!! I honestly think he’s a special shooter! Numbers don’t lie he is shooting phenomenal this year! Worthy of a second contract at about 7-10 mil a year. I think he’s is a 8man! 18-23 minutes a game
What’s the James opinion? Jazz try to win Sunday? Or play it safe and lose?
