No! .. the reason for that is, this trade is so bad not because they trade luka for bums. But they trade their future for a player that is in the backend of his prime and cant stay healthy. Unless the bring the championship this season, theres no justification on that trade.
Mavs made a good financial business decision, not a likable one but a good one. Can it be bad decision sure, but only time will tell. I personally wouldn't have given $300+ million to Luka either. They had him for 7 seasons and maybe it could get better or maybe not. Luka is a great offensive player, but whines too much , is lazy. People act as if Kyrie wasn't there with all the other defensive players, luka would carry them regardless. They beat a hurt Clippers team, a young Okc team, and had a better team than the T-wolves with more stars. Kuddos to them, they beat who they had to play but that Boston series showed the team , there are levels. Luka still in Dallas and Kyrie got hurt they would still have the same shot they got now, very little.

On Facebook, I posed a hypothetical question: what if Dallas wins the title this year (I know it's next to impossible, but hypothetically)? Would the trade then be considered a good move for Dallas? I received several responses from Mavs fans who indicated they would still feel betrayed and wouldn't be happy about the title. I then commented that they are just fans of Luka and not the Mavs.

There is no justifying the trade, the future will tell but I will say for them to keep fighting. In the defense is being played. I'm a mavs fan for life I was a fan before Luka I'm a fan after. Quentin Grimes was on The Young Man and the Three podcast and talked about how the Mavs scheduled a team meeting before the trade was announced and when the Mavs players were in their hotel rooms they learned of the trade and all of them were blindsided by the Luka trade.
