  1. Its pretty hard to keep a guy like CB on a team thats entire goal on the season was to teach the youngins NBA basketball and have all players expand their games. Not the best place for a 30yr old vet / bench guy. My issue isn't that he isn't played, more that he wasn't traded to another team around similar time to OG and Pascal trade.. just let the legend go to a team that needs his skillsets now, regardless of what return you get. I know many think being good to your guys isn't very good business practice, but eh, to me its a small business where it is important to treat people with as much respect as possible considering the game thats being played (obviously hard decisions need to be made). So yea, is what it is though.. life happens

  2. If Boucher had played regularly they would have won more games and the team would be in the 9th+ draft lottery slot.
I hated seeing him buried on the bench like that, but it made sense. I just want him to get an opportunity with a decent team and a regular rotation spot.

  3. I don't see where Chris fits in next season on this team, not that he isn't good but the team needs a stronger big who can bang and defend other bigs to come off the bench. BUT STILL, the team should have let Chris go play elsewhere on a team in the play-offs so maybe he could attract a contract from another team that's better than what the Raps might offer. I think they did him dirty!

  4. Boucher is likely gone. What you guys are missing from these quote’s is the fact he keep’s referring him as WAS and not like he is a part of the future. “he WAS a great sport” I think “He WAS a incredible professional”

  5. This goes back to the summer of 2022 when we signed him to an extension and gave him all of that money. We haven't gotten any use out of him since when we should have and quite frankly I thought he would have been gone this trade deadline given the talk around teams like Denver wanting him. At this point I like him and what he can do, but he's wasting away on this Raptors team so bringing him back AGAIN does nothing for the Raptors or his career.

  6. Everything Masai said sounded like CB will be traded, everyone knows his value so we’re not going to throw him away for nothing. My money is on Masai attempting to use CB to move up in the draft.

  7. Darko's offense wants bigs that can playmake and Boucher isn't that type of player. Letting him go is the best move.

  8. Why lose Chris for nothing They should have Taken what they could have gotten at the Deadline if there was a chance you let him walk. Typical Masai..

  9. I’d be a great sport too if I was paid almost $11 million to be a bench player. Boucher should have been traded at the deadline so he had another chance to compete for a championship. He’s just caught in a bad spot through no fault of his making. The Raptors are rebuilding so they need to see what they’ve got from their young players.

  10. Next year Raps should keep him if he takes a team friendly deal 5mill he does play hard and can contribute to winning, that's why he was benched he was winning games when they wanted to lose. They want to win next year give him 10-15 mins he's a fun player.

  11. Of course there is interest in CB coming back. We spent the season showing off the trade pieces (RJ, IQ, Grady, Jak, Scottie) so that we can build a champion around Chris!!!
My only concern is finding a trade partner to send our first round pick to so we can get Thad Young back.
If not, we have to figure out how to trade our own pick for Garrett Temple. Which I imagine would require a pretty complex trade.

  12. The Raptors will offer Chris Boucher a life time community Rep type of role when he retires. But unless the trade away RJ and not bring back alot of salary nor alot of players, there might be a 10% chance he comes back

  13. Chris Boucher regardless of his lack of playmaking, he’s our best stretch 4, I say keep CB until you find a stretch 4 that can actually play make, no sense of letting him go and then saying “wE NeEd A sTrEtCh 4 off the bench”

  14. Bouchier is old news. This team is about the youth and the future, not the last. I will be pretty upset if bouchier is back. There’s no reason at all to bring him back

  15. There’s no way bouchier is coming back. We will need to go into the first apron to bring back bouchier. Why would we do that? It makes no sense

  16. I couldn't care less if Chris is Canadian. He brings a special contagious energy off the bench and does many good things that this team NEEDS!

  17. There has to be at least 1 trade or we don't get to keep our 2nd round pick because there is no roster spot.

  18. Sorry but we just can't afford him , we need scrubs like we played this year to fill in our 7-12 , cheap contracts is the key so we can pay our money players like RJ

  19. If they would have let Chris Boucher keep playing.I think his last game was when we beat the Sun's when him and RJ hit all those 3's in couple mins.If we kept playing him with his energy and the way he was playing so good we would have made the play in for sure..But the organization wanted to thank. So they benched him..But even when we rested r staters we won 6 or something in a row..We don't even no how to tank.. Anyway Chris is a stud and he was very professional not complaining even though he should have..We love u here in Toronto Chris and now that were getting some draft picks this year and r in win mood going forward.Hope the management see's that Chris would be great on r team.Coming off the bench, bringing his energy, not complaining.Helping the team..Hope we bring him back.If not,Chris u deserve to go somewhere were they appreciate u..Love u Chris.HELLO!! BONJOUR!!✌️❤️

  20. Also like DeMar said its not about Loyalty its a business now.. Loyalty in sports doesn't exist anymore.Just look at the Luka trade he didn't want to leave..Thats another whole shady situation..Just saying Chris was loyal.never complaned.Plays his role with energy and stats, and gets r home crowd out there f ing seats with his energy..He deserves better..He wont get in from his Raptors organization. But if He leaves he will get a home standing loud ovation from the fans and his Country..✌️❤️

  21. It would have been nice if Darko would have let him play the last home game of the season. Just out of respect for what he means to the fans. I thought it was kind of classless knowing there were most likely moving on from him.

  22. I like Chris, but I don't see how we keep him without going into the luxury tax–which I don't see happening. If they we can keep him–great, if we can't, I just hope he doesn't get shafted on the way out, and that he is traded to championship contender. In any case, I wish him the best.😎

  23. I know its all talks about salary cap and all that but for me CBs presence on the floor gives so much more. My opinion of course. Hopefully he stays

  24. Of course the Raptors are going to say they want him back. Maybe he's up for a sign and trade to get a mid to late 2nd round pick, sending him to a mid range contender next year for a reasonable 2 year contract would be my best bet. The Raptors don't have the space to keep him and won't be making moves to offload younger, more affordable talent to keep him. I love Boucher and his story but he's going to be a great bench piece somewhere else next season.

  25. i lost interest in the Raptors this year, really they just destroy the team. i lost all the players i like one lest and he sitting on the bench. i like Chris Boucher i want to see more of him.

  26. Never hurts to have a 3-point threat, rebounder, shot-blocker and microwave scorer on the team. We don't have to look too hard to find one in free agency, do we?

  27. If the conversation is front office give him less money and playing time versus more money and playing time elsewhere,I would totally understand if he decided to go.He is a winning player and it would be sad to see him go.
I do really want the best for him and to see him play for his home team Raptors.

  28. Nah, if Chris was smart he look for a contender and be a bench piece there. Toronto aren’t going to pay him or play him like he wants.
