If we get the 14th pick with the Hawks pick, they will say the Hawks. Correct. we will say the original owner of the pick, not the team that actually controls the pick right now. I’m pretty sure that how how it works. So, we don’t want to hear the Hawks at 14. We want to hear the Kings because if that’s the case, that means a 14th pick jumped up in the top four, which would be phenomenal. Our pick to move up, but I really want the Atlanta Hawks pick to move up. That would just make that Dejanti Murray trade just oh so much sweeter when it is back. I don’t see them going into those next levels. And Giannis and Fox are going to be on max contracts this coming season. And WMY’s rookie extension is right around the corner. So that’s going to be three players eating up well over 150 million in two years. Unless you’re planning on trading Giannis and winning now and then moving on from him in a couple years, I don’t see any way or shape or form the Spurs can afford three max players. Plus, you got Council’s rookie extension coming up in the near future. You got Soan’s rookie extension. Now just the money’s not there to to uh to have him, you know, even if the Spurs get the first overall pick, are we gonna have enough money to pay Castle, Wby, and Flag over the next decade? Now, the NBA lottery works is they put all the, you know, they pull the lottery balls, whatever, and you’re trying to jump into the top four. The Spurs can only go up into the top four. After the top four are filled, your remaining spots from five to 14 are filled. Worst order or worst record to best record. So worst to best. You can’t you can’t bug the balls around what and move up to five or six. It’s one to four or bust. You’ll announce a Spur. Okay, Jacks. I see a couple people verifying that. Okay, thank you guys. It can move up to one to four or it can stay at eight or it can go backwards. How it go backwards is let’s say the Mavericks got the third overall pick. So, I think the odds back then were the same for every team and then they changed it to the worst teams get better odds after that Orlando Magic fiasco, if you will, in like 1994ish. And I’m pretty sure I heard since that change, I could be wrong, so help me in the chat if I am, the worst team in the NBA has never gotten the number one overall pick since then, which means if the Jazz do it, they would be the first team to ever do it. And yes, they tanked hard. It was an obvious tanking. I think they got fined for that tanking. I get it. I don’t know what they would do with the roster if they were to get Cooper flag. CP3 could win his first title. What a shame CP3 was not made player-coach of the Spurs next season instead of G-Leaguer Mitch Johnson. If only Monty Williams or Mike Malone had been hired.
I won't be surprised if the Spurs trade the #2 pick for the young all-star small forward we need to be contenders next season and make Wemby VERY HAPPY.
