When we were going for the play in I told everyone it was a bad idea, they all told me it was good experience for the team. Even if we made it we wouldn't have made a run this year or next, I would rather have had a high draft pick as opposed to being right back where we were with Dame, being happy to make the playoffs to likely get bounced in the 1st round, like we did 6 times when we qualified with Dame, wasn't the point of trading him to take the next step??
At this point, I think are best options to get better as a team is to trade our good players to the Lakers for scraps. Maybe the NBA will throw us a bone.

The NBA lottery has been around for 40 years, so you'd have to repeat the entire history of the NBA lottery 200 times for this to ever happen again.
