The Knicks should just foul the hell out of Indiana towards the end when the game is close and force them to make free throws. It seems like that would be a good strategy since they obviously can't stop them from scoring any other way even when the Knicks are playing really well defensively. The Pacers are the more aggressive team.

think one of the most slept on players in the NBA by a country mile is Myles Turner, dude never gets love, no defense teams or all star considerations even though for his career he averages 2 blocks a game. And a crazy season where he averaged 3.6, ill admit he's probably never been a top 2-4 defensive center in the league so it makes sense but he has consistently been hovering in the 5-8 range in terms of defensive big men, with the craziest part being he can shoot 3s as well. He's obviously not a good 3 point shooter but he's respectable enough that you can't ignore him like other defensive walls like Draymond Green and Gobert on the perimeter, which is why I've been losing my mind that the warriors never traded for him since he seems like the perfect fit next to draymond on that team (ie: perfect fit who's actually attainable not like Joker or Joel) granted he doesn't crash the boards as hard as i would like and I dont know why since I dont watch a ton of pacer games much less look at rebound battles but yeah he's definitely a unsung hero for the pacer especially since he's been there his whole career and his presence allows Pascal to play the 4 his natural position instead of the 5 like what happened to AD and Chris Bosh

the funny thing is next year they’re gonna probably put pacers as underdogs again and have celtics and cavs to win east ….after they steamrolled everyone this postseason …..and we’ll probably c pacers in ECF again lol

At the start of the 4th quarter Myles Turner had 3pt 1reb, I'm glad he scored 13 in the 4th cause he was awful the first 3 quarters. Reminded me of a Pacers vs Wolves game 3-4 years ago where Towns had 42pt 17reb and Turner had 3pt 1reb in 30mins.

People seem to look past what Thomas Bryant has brought to this team. Hes not great on offense but can rebound and hit free throws. Hes decent on defense but undersized as a center but its the hustle. He runs and runs. This whole postseason for the Pacers towards the end of 4th quarters they seem to get to the rim at will. Hes helping wear out the bigs.

It’s funny that you mentioned the showtime lakers with Magic for as I watched the Pacers I was getting the same feeling as I watched them play both games against the Knicks.
Even watching OKC I see them as depending more on SGA like the Celtics did with Bird so I see both teams ending up in the Finals with the Pacers winning it all for the Pacers have the better team.
For they have the more total depth with their team compared to OKC. They might be more defensive but I still see the Pacers winning out in the end with how unpredictable that they are and how offensive depth that they have and never knowing who is going to be the one that will be the one that is going to go in a run where as with the OKC like the Knicks they have just their specific players and championships are won by the best teams not players!

These playoffs are signaling the death of the one way player in the NBA. This is the era of generalists over specialists. Any flaw in a players game is highlighted and exposed, be it offense or defense. Can't defend on ball? Enjoy being targeted. Can't defend off ball? Enjoy defending pick and rolls. Can't shoot? You'll be left open and compromise the offense as your defender roams. Etc. Etc. I can't remember a playoffs where so many good players have become unplayable due to flaws in their game.
Kat was suppose to provide Brunson help. Kat is awful defensively and Mitchell Robinson is awful offensively. Pacers more balanced team. It's over.
