WAKE UP, NBA! Nikola Jokic’s INSANE stats wasted – Denver Nuggets are destroying their MVP!

I don’t know what Denver’s doing, bro, but this is the perfect time to shock everybody. If I’m the team, if I’m Joker, I get us all together and I make it about us. Is he the leadership in there? Who’s the voice in that locker room? Not even that. Who does everybody respect out of everybody in that him? I’m talking about top to bottom. Yeah, for sure. But is he that one that’s going to be like, look, he going to have to pee or what? Oh, everybody going to let the rope go? No, I know Westbrook will step up and say something and he’ll kind of gather guys. I mean, he’s known he got that type of personality. He ain’t got them three boys. Joker’s team, bro. For sure. When when your star step up and start saying it ain’t really nobody I mean Jamal Murray bro this is bro. This is the time your star supposed to step up and be like this what we doing y’all. First off don’t wait till April and then talk about like bro this is strategy here and all the teams that you know find themselves in here. It’s not by coincidence. Some teams are trying to fall. Some trying some people trying to move up. Some people trying to dodge. I’m telling you it is a whole strategy here. So when I’m watching all this, not only is it helping, you know, the love of the playoffs and getting us all excited and, you know, the marketing, but bro, whoever is talking about moving and move, it’s all they’re behind it. I’m going just be honest with you cuz I don’t know if y’all notice, ever since the bubble, he’s been people up. He’s about to 30 10 and 12, right? So he’s not just letting this happen. It was per who said MB should win the MVP. Jookic was averaging a triple double and after people started pushing for MB he kind of let off the gas and said all right man all this he’s not letting off the gas now this guy has more responsibility than any player in the NBA and it’s kind of unfair but that’s just the way it is like no other player has to lead their team and score and rebound and assist not any and there’s a lot of great players in this league but no player has a responsibility that the Joker has and Um Mark Dagnel goes 10 deep comfortably. Meanwhile, David Adelman uh he says, “Look, we need more from we need more from more people.” And he says he needs to be more creative in figuring out how he can get other guys in the game so they have fresh legs at the end of the game cuz he only been playing seven, maybe eight. Come on, man. Stop that. That’s ridiculous. They have never addressed their depth. Uh they should have did it uh cuz they DeAndre uh Jordan has had a great career, but he’s he he’s not going to play at all. They’ve never addressed it. And listen, we got to also call out Jamal Murray. He and Michael Porter Jr. cuz yeah, when you’re a star, you get all the credit, you get all the blame that that that goes with it. But they’ve got to give him some help. It it’s not his job to keep those guys fresh. It’s their damn job to play better. They get a paycheck, too. You know, you giving Porter any kind of a pass playing with the shoulder? Uh, I I’m I I’m gonna give him a little bit, but Jamal Murray’s not hurt. Uh, he’s got he’s he’s the guy he’s the second best player on the team. And but Aaron Gordon’s been the second best player. Christian Brown has played well, too. But to to to think you at in the at the NBA that you’re going to play seven players and get all the way multiple years through the championship, they won the one championship and they still haven’t got anybody coming off the bench. Expect that to go year after year. It’s not going to happen. Welcome to Hoops Insider, where we dive deep into the heart of the NBA’s biggest battles. I’m your host, and today we’re sounding the alarm on a crisis that could shake the foundation of the Denver Nuggets. Nicola Joic, the three-time MVP, the Serbian Titan, is carrying a crumbling empire on his shoulders. But is his loyalty about to cost him everything? The Nuggets are at a breaking point. roster failures, financial chaos, and a front office that’s asleep at the wheel. Buckle up because this is the story of a superstar betrayed by his own team. First, let’s unpack the leadership void in Denver’s locker room. Who’s stepping up to save this team? Let’s find out. Nicola Joic isn’t just a player, he’s a phenomenon. the first center in NBA history to average a triple double with 29 six points, 12, seven rebounds, and 10 two assists this season. He’s a three-time MVP, a finals hero, and the heartbeat of Denver. But here’s the gut punch. Even a titan like Jokic can’t do it alone. In the locker room, where’s the fire? Where’s the voice to rally the troops? Joic is respected top to bottom. No question. But is he the one slamming his fist on the table, demanding, “We’re not letting this slip away.” Or is he stuck carrying a team that’s too comfortable letting him bleed for them? Russell Westbrook’s got the personality to spark a fire. He’ll gather the guys, no doubt. But let’s be real, this is Joker’s team. And yet, the silence from his supporting cast is deafening. Jamal Murray, the so-called second star, has been inconsistent at best. Mika El Pota Jr. Hobbled by a shoulder injury, sure, but where’s the fight? The Nuggets pushed the Thunder to seven games in the 2025 playoffs. A heroic effort led by Joic 44.22 rebound masterpiece in game five. But when the Chips were down, who else showed up? This isn’t just a roster problem. It’s a leadership crisis. Joic is out there playing chess while his teammates are playing checkers. And if he doesn’t step up as the vocal leader now, this team risks fading into obscurity. But leadership alone won’t fix Denver’s fatal flaw. Let’s dive into the roster disaster that’s suffocating Jokic’s greatness. Let’s talk numbers that scream louder than words. The Nuggets played seven players in their playoff rotation. Seven. Meanwhile, teams like OKC, Indiana, and Minnesota rolled 10 deep, fresh legs, tearing through the postseason. Jookic himself called it out after game seven. We definitely need more depth. Teams with longer rotations are winning. And he’s right. Denver’s bench is a ghost town. Christian Braun’s hustle is a bright spot. But DeAndre Jordan, a legend, sure, but he’s not playing meaningful minutes anymore. Pton Watson and Julian Strawther, they’re young, but counting on them alone is like betting on a rookie to save a sinking ship. New coach David Adelman admitted it. We need to be more creative to keep legs fresh. Creative. How about addressing the depth issue that’s been ignored for years. The Nuggets won a title in 2023, but that was a miracle built on Joic back. Now the Western Conference has caught up and passed them by. Without a draft pick in 2025, and with limited cap space, Denver’s hands are tied. They’re stuck with max contracts for Murray and Porter Jr. who’ve been inconsistent at best. Aaron Gordon’s been solid, but he’s not a second star. Joic is carrying more responsibility than any player in the NBA scoring, rebounding, assisting, and practically coaching on the court. It’s unfair. It’s unsustainable, and it’s a disgrace to his legacy if Denver doesn’t act now. Depth isn’t the only crisis. The financial storm looming over Joic could force him into an unthinkable sacrifice. Let’s break it down. Here’s where it gets brutal. Nicolola Joic, the NBA’s best player, faces a choice that could haunt him for years. Sign a $212 5 million extension this summer or a $293 4 million super max next year. That’s life-changing money, and he’s earned every penny. But Denver’s front office is broke, capped out with no room to sign the veterans Joic desperately needs. The rumor mill is buzzing. Will Jokic take a pay cut to save his team? Let that sink in. The man who’s averaged a triple double, who’s led a no all-star roster to a 50- win season, might have to sacrifice millions to fix Denver’s mess. Mark Kisla of the Denver Gazette dropped a bombshell. Joic should hold off on signing and wield a velvet hammer over chairman Josh Kroni. demand roster upgrades or else. Yic’s loyalty is legendary. As Serbian as a summer day is long, but loyalty won’t win championships. Croeni’s response to the game seven loss was a slap in the face. Our answers are internal. Internal? Are you kidding me? Jokic needs help, not excuses. If he takes a pay cut, it’s a heroic act, but if Denver squanders it, it’s a betrayal. And here’s the kicker. Joic player option in 2027 to 28 looms large. If the Nuggets don’t deliver, could the unthinkable happen? Could Joic walk? The clock is ticking and Denver’s future hangs in the balance. Joic’s sacrifice could be in vain if the front office doesn’t act. What’s Denver’s next move? Let’s expose their strategy or lack thereof. Denver’s front office is standing at a crossroads and the world is watching. Josh Kroni’s plan, lean on new coach David Adelman’s philosophy and hope for internal growth. That’s not a strategy, that’s a surrender. Adelman went three to zero in the regular season, sure, but he had three games to prepare for the playoffs. Now he’s tasked with squeezing blood from a stoner roster that’s thin, tired, and overpaid. Jookic himself said it, “We tried and we failed. We need changes.” Yet Kunky’s banking on Murray and Porter Jr. to magically get better. Good luck with that. The Nuggets have no draft pick, no cap space, and a championship core that’s crumbling. Trading Murray or Porter Jr. could bring assets, but it’s a gamble. Free agency, they’re limited to the taxpayer mid-level exception and veteran minimums. The Jokic effect, his ability to make role players shine, could lure a vet like Bruce Brown back. But without money, it’s a pipe dream. If Croeni doesn’t make bold moves, Joic’s prime will be wasted. And if that happens, don’t be shocked if the Serbian superstar starts eyeing the exit. Denver, wake up. Your king deserves a kingdom, not a collapsing castle. The pressure’s on. But what do you think Joic should do? Let’s wrap this up with a call to action. Nicola Joic is more than a superstar, a once- in a generation force. But even Giants can fall if their foundation crumbles. Denver’s roster is broken, their wallets empty, and their plan is a prayer. Will Jokic take a pay cut to save his team, or should he demand the bag and force Croweni to act? One thing’s clear, the Nuggets can’t waste another second of Yic prime. This is Hoops insider, and we’re calling for change in Denver. Drop your thoughts in the comments. Should Joic stay loyal or start planning his escape, smash that like button, subscribe, and hit the bell for more NBA truth bombs. Until next time, keep your eyes on the court. [Music]

  1. If they could afford it…they should get Markkanen. I think he would be good help for Jokic. I know this season was off from Markkanen but I think that was by design and it backfired badly for Jazz. Markkanen needs new team, a team who wants to win.

  2. Jokic if Smart don't sign this year 3 year extension for 212mil, not even next year 4 year extension for 293mil but wait two years when he will have player option an be 32 year olds than he ask for 5 year contract for 400mil or leave
