Tbh I don’t think so I think the speed is too fast for anyone to average 40. Look it’s completely different getting 40 in a slow paced vs fast pace game. Obviously 3pt was never Jordan’s specialty BUT if you leave Jordan open on 3pt line, definitely he will knock it down. And it’s gonna hurt during clutch time. Jordan would do just fine even in modern NBA. I think he would still drive and attack the basket like he always does.

In my personal opinion, 40 is a LITTLE low when you consiser he averaged 37 back in his era. Id say a little higher than 40 at least.
He averaged 37.1 in 1987-88.
