so could the Memphis Grizzlies be trading away Jiren Jackson Jr to the Los Angeles Lakers this 2025 NBA offseason well here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net the link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself but this trade would see the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Jiren Jackson Jr and the Memphis Grizzlies receiving Austin Reeves Stalton Connect Maxi Kipa and a 2031 first round draft pick so in my personal opinion this actually would make quite a bit of sense uh for the Lakers to consider if they wanted to go after a starting big men this off season ging the trademark for someone like Jiren Jackson Jr and a team like Memphis who could be selling off some assets this off seasonason which of course they did already by trading away Desmond Bane this could be a match made in heaven now uh Jiren Jackson Jr stretches the floor tremendously well he can be a pick and pop or a pick and roll throw with Luca Donic and I think truthfully speaking he’s a much needed improvement for this team in regards to the starting center position now the only downside here is that Jiren Jackson Jr is a pending free agent so this could very well be quite a bit to give up for a one-year player potentially speaking so I think if you’re the Lakers you’d only be making this move if there’s some sort of guarantee of a Jiren Jackson Jr extension so uh not a bad move there for the Lakers if you’re the Memphis Grizzlies I sort of like it as well in regards to a futuristic you know outlook as I mentioned before Desmond Bane was sort of surprisingly traded away uh to the Orlando Magic uh they got back a ton in return in regards to draft capital and this trade would be following suit like if you’re able to add good young talent like Austin Reeves and Dalton Connect to the group that’s a pretty good move for them in the long term uh and if you’re able to get back that very coveted first round draft pick from the Lakers in 2031 that could very easily be a lottery pick down the road so in my personal opinion if I had to pick a winner this deal I’m probably going to go with the Memphis Grizzlies because of the uncertainty beyond this year with Jiren Jackson Jr but as always leave your thoughts
