76ers Sign Trendon Watford To A 2-Year, $5.3M Deal

good rebounding big man Trinidad Watford is heading to Philadelphia two-year $5.3 million deal right 5.3 yeah $5.3 million deal espn shops Ronnie at reports some of you are going to be like who is Trendon Lford he’s been a guy who’s played a little bit around the NBA he’s actually a very fun player to watch one who’s got skill and somebody that if he hadn’t been playing on so so rosters for the past couple years he’d be more of a household name so let me break down who Trendan Watford is for you guys who do not know about him and why he’s actually a great reserve big man for a team like the Philadelphia 76ers he has the same birthday as my sister just three years younger november 9th 2000 my sister’s November 9th 1997 this past year was his fourth NBA season averaging 10 points 3.6 rebounds 2.6 assists and before that he averaged 7.4 points and 3.8 rebounds and 7.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in his two seasons with the Portland Trailblazers the weird thing is is that with the Blazers he was actually a really solid rebounder and then with the Brooklyn Nets they kind of made him this like three-point shooter and like floor spacer very interesting career arc for Trendan Lawford who played for the LSU Tigers ironically he was the guy I believe who ended up replacing Mr nas Reed in the rotation when like obviously he left self to me he was someone that a lot of people like enjoyed watching he has a lot of skill he’s one of those guys who has continuously worked he puts effort on both ends of the floor obviously he doesn’t have like a standout skill but he’s a really good utility player and these are the type of players that Nick Nurse loves and takes advantage of when given so I can see this being kind of like a middle of the road signing that people aren’t going to really pay attention to but they got a floor spacing small ball five more of a four kind of like legitimately like a poor man’s Nas Reed and he’s going to fit well with this team that if you look at the Philadelphia 76’s current roster it’s going to be if Joel’s healthy Joel Embiid Jiren McCain it’s crazy to think Paul George is like still here which is fine you know i think it’s going to work out well for them or you hope but Tyres Maxi BJ Edgecom Ricky Council Kelly Ubé Justin Edwards Dia Broom Andre Gentleman Adam Bonham and now you bring in Trendan Waford you’re hopefully bringing back Gwenton Grimes and Kyle Lowry it’s not too terrible
