🚨NEW Josh Giddey Update via Bulls Insider + Nikola Vucevic Terry Rozier Trade Idea!

[Music] What’s going on, Bulls fans? Welcome into the Bulls Report. My name is Patrick Zman and coming up on today’s show, we got a brand new Josh Giddy contract update coming in from Joe Cali. Apparently, Josh Giddy wants that Jaylen Suggs contract. So, we’ll break that down. And then also a Nola Vuchich Heat trade idea just surfaced yesterday. So, we’ll break that down on today’s show as well. But before we do so, if you guys could hit that subscribe button today, if we get any more updates around the Chicago Bulls, we will make a video for you guys ASAP. And this is actually our live sub counter here. We’re closing in on 13,000 subs. So, if you guys have not already, it really does help me out. And plus, you guys will just get more Bulls content on your YouTube page. So, hit that subscribe button today and let’s talk about it. So, Josh Giddy and the Chicago Bulls, why have not uh why have they not reached the contract extension just yet? Apparently, there’s a holdup and they’re just going back and forth negotiating. But we do have an update coming in from Joe Calli as he said this. A source told the Sun Times that the Bulls and Giddy’s camp were having positive discussions, but Giddy still would like to get the Jaylen Suggs contract of $30 million per year. Suggs was selected fifth overall in 2021, drafted by the Magic, and Giddy was taken at number six. The Magic gave their floor general a 5-year 150.5 million extension last offseason. Both players have had some growing pains and setbacks along the way, but Giddy and his representation feel that’s where he should be also slotted. Now, Jaylen Suggs is a tremendous basketball player, defensive-minded guard, 6’5, really good size. Um, who’s awesome for Gonzaga and he’s had a really good NBA career so far, but this is his contract over the next five seasons. And I just want Bulls fans to imagine if this is what Josh Giddy’s contract looked like where this upcoming year 35 million then 32.4 29.6 26.8 then 26.7. Now the Bulls could obviously work this differently where it comes out to like a solid even $30 million per season for the next five. But 5 years committed to Josh Giddy similar to this Suggs deal. I got my question marks. And you know honestly I don’t really love this Jaylen Suggs deal for the Orlando Magic. And you know, if I had to go back or if they had to go back, they probably would have offered him maybe 25 a year instead of $30 million a year. And also saying that, I’ll say this. I think Jaylen Suggs is a way more valuable player than Josh Giddy, mainly because what he does on the defensive side of the floor, one of the best point of attack defenders, a solid floor general as well. So, if I don’t love that contract for Suggs, and I think Suggs is also better than Giddy, why would the Bulls give Giddy that contract? And also, I would be very hesitant to commit five years to Josh Giddy. Now, again, he looked awesome po uh post allstar break this past season, almost averaging a 20point triple double. I hear all of that. But it almost feels like or feels like the Bulls are almost in a desperate situation. And the last time the Bulls were in this situation, it reminds me of these two contracts last summer giving Patrick Williams a 5year $90 million deal. It’s one of the worst contracts in the NBA. It’s $18 million still for four more seasons. It’s just a terrible deal. And then if we remember, um, funny enough, actually Lavine wearing a Kings jersey on this, but when the Kings gave, uh, Lavine that contract offer of five for 215, the Bulls were in a desperate spot. They just traded Jimmy Butler for him. They needed to give them uh, give him that money. So, they just matched it. And I could see the Bulls obviously won’t be five for 215, but what if some team like the Utah Jazz offers Giddy five for 150 and the Bulls are like, “Yeah, we kind of have to match that because we just traded Alex Caruso for him.” So again, when you make contracts in the NBA and you are in a desperate spot, normally it ends up not working out. And again, that’s where the Bulls have lived. And I’ve been getting comments on the show about Emanuel Quickley and I just want to address this real quick. You guys are driving me up a wall. You guys keep on commenting, “Oh, well, Emanuel Quickley got five years, $162.5 million deal.” Is that a good contract? No. Just because somebody else got that deal doesn’t mean it would make the Josh Giddy contract look any better. The Raptors, they’re one of the worst Ran teams in the national football or uh NBA. They gave Quickley a complete bag. So, just because the Raptors gave Quickly that bag, should the Bulls give Giddy that bag? And I actually think Giddy’s a better player than Emanuel Quickley. Different styles to play. Quickly more of an offensive, you know, scoring guard where, you know, Giddy is just that playmaker 6’8. But again, just because they gave Quickley that contract doesn’t mean the Bulls have to give Josh Giddy a massive deal. But I’ll say all that to say this. The more this drags out, as days go on, as I am still shocked it is July 8th and we haven’t gotten that notification just yet, the more concerned I get about the Bulls overpaying because we just saw that Utah Jazz deal yesterday where now they have cap space to throw at Josh Giddy. What if there’s another trade where a team’s like, “Oh man, Josh Giddy’s still out there. What if we shed some salary? We could go throw him an offer.” And I just feel like we’re going to get to a point we’ll get, oh, breaking news. the um you know whatever team is offering Giddy $30 million a year and then the Bulls kind of got to hit that panic button and be like well we got to offer him that. I’d like Josh Giddy. I hope the Bulls can extend him on a three-year $75 million deal. I think that’s more than fair. 25 per year. You’re up for another contract in three seasons. He would still be 25 years old in the prime of his career. Then if he, you know, outperforms that contract, then you go and throw him the bag. But if you give him 30 year or 30 mil a year over five years, man, that’s a that’s a big commitment. A big commitment for the Bulls. But let me ask you guys this. Give Josh Giddy a 2K rating. Scale it for me 1 through 99 down below in the comments section. If I had to give Giddy one probably 83 84 overall, even though 2K ratings are ludicrous right now. Like for example, Quinton Grimes is an 85 overall. That’s absurd. But on my rating, I would give Josh Giddy about 8384 overall. Now, coming up next here on the program, we’ll talk about this Nicole Vuvich Heat trade idea. It’s not that big of a move, but it’s an interesting move, and I want to give you guys my thoughts on that. But before we do so, if you guys want to support our Chicago Bulls and get a two t-shirt combo today, we got a deal for you. chatsports.com/bulls combo. Normally, this deal is going for $49.99, but right now it’s $29.99. So, take advantage of that. Click the link in the comment section and description of today’s show and get this Bowls two t-shirt combo. They actually look pretty fresh. I like rocking it. I got this last summer. So, if you guys want to join me, hit that link chatports.com/bullscombo. Now, uh my co-orker and actually roommate Nick Rolloff, host of the Heat Report channel. He suggested this trade on Twitter ended up going pretty viral, so I want to give my thoughts on it. Um it would be the Bulls receiving Terry Rosier and a 2027 second round pick and then the Miami Heat would be getting Nicole. Now, quickly here on the Heat front, I think that would be an absolute steal for Miami. I know I got my problems with Vu. I still think he is a net negative out there on the basketball court with how terrible he is defensively, but if you would pair Vu up with Bam at a bio, I actually love that front court for Miami. You got the defensive minded guy in Bam. You got the offensive minded guy in V. And I think it would actually end up working out for the Heat. But on the Bulls side of things, I don’t really hate or love this for the Bulls. Like, if this deal comes through, I’m like, “All right, cool. The Bulls moved off vouch for Terzier who’s got a one-year $26 million expiring contract. You end up getting a second round pick. It’s not like I would be crashing out over it or, you know, I would be popping a bottle of champagne and excitement. I would really have no, you know, strong opinion on it. But the one thing is, could you get more for Vu? Like, is Vu really worth a second round pick and a matching expiring contract? Maybe he is. Clear the Bulls have had some troubles, you know, moving him over the last couple of, you know, off seasons and trade deadlines, but could you get more for Vu? I think maybe you could slightly, but again, I would rather just have the Bulls wait until the deadline. Like, roll with Vu out until February comes along and then maybe a team that’s contending for a championship, maybe their center gets hurt or whatever it may be, and they throw the Bulls like a protected first round pick. Like I would rather just wait instead of get this guy Terry Rosir who he was terrible this past season for Miami. I mean he was borderline unplayable. And I do think if the Bulls would pick him up, this would be a thing where Terry’s just, you know, sitting on the bench. Like he would probably be that fifth guard for the Bulls behind, you know, IO, Trey Jones, Giddy, and Kobe White. So it’s not like Terry Rosier would come in and take, you know, minutes or shots away from anybody. But again, I would just rather have the Bulls wait. If they end up making this deal though, it’s it’s not like I would be pissed about it. I’ve been wanting to move off Vu for the longest time and you would still get an expiring contract. And as we know, the Bulls are looking at that 2026 free agency if they finally decide to spend money as you will probably have $85 million in expiring contract. So, you have a ton of cap space. But I ask you guys this, I don’t really have an opinion on it, but hey, if you guys do, let me know your thoughts down below. Would you accept this trade for Nicole Vuch of Terry Rosir and a 2027 second round pick? Give me an A for accept or give me a D for decline down below. Now, another friendly reminder, hit that subscribe button on your way out. We appreciate all the support on the channel as of late. You guys are the best. 1. If they just gave Patrick Williams the contract they gave him why not just say f*ck it and give him the money! Who cares at this point the roster is sh*tty anyway!! Outside of MB and maybe a couple others like white and ayo and I'd be trading white if I could get a good deal for him!

  2. You know what name me another automatic 18 and 10 center in the league that can play defense name me five of them!! That heat Bulls trade is absolutely horrible for the Bulls!!! You really need to give up this job you are horrible

  3. I like Giddey but 30 mill fir a guy that's not a workout warrior naw I remember reading about how hard Austin Reeves was in the gym lifting working hard and he came back better I understand why he wants to get paid , Buzelik fresh to the league looking like he been hitting the weights ….Giddey is the same player he was when he came in the league good but not great enough for 30 mill per

  4. Only 3 players had the stats Giddey put up…LeBron, Luka, Joker. Shame on you Chicago…and all Suggs gotta do is score, Giddey is constantly making plays and rebounding.

  5. 30 million doesn't even sound expensive for a improving 6 foot 8 point guard who is only 22 years old who rebounds like a power forward, and is improving his Jump shot and defense. He looks like a player that's clearly on the rise paying him 30 million sounds like a no brainer to me 💯

  6. Keep the negative stuff on Giddy coming, but don't go lamenting on how bad the Bulls management is when he walks. Suggs is not a better player than Giddy.

  7. giddey had way better counting stats, advanced stats so ur claim is false. also 5 yr is way better if u think he will be a star. you dont want to give 3 yrs like coby and bolt.
30mil is nothing if banchero is getting double.

  8. Have your opinion but you have now lost a subscriber…Suggs? Please. One’s a highlight defender, the other is a walking triple-double. Giddey reads the game three moves ahead while Suggs is still figuring out how to dribble and chew gum at the same time. There’s levels to this—and Giddey’s playing chess while Suggs is stuck on checkers.

  9. Giddey rebounds, passes, scores and even shoots better than Suggs. Twice as many boards and twice as many assists. It’s not even close.

His defense has improved but he is never going to be as good as Suggs.

Suggs has also missed 77 more games than Giddey in 4 years.

Suggs is a huge overpay but you can understand why Giddey wants to be paid as well as inferior players (quickley is in the same boat)

  10. Reject the heat trade and offer Giddy 4 yr / $120 mil with 4th year being a team option. Pay the man. Why are they hesitant to give Giddy a bag but dam near gave PWill 20 mil

  11. This page is super amateur, bulls matched the kings when they first got lavine for like 80 million they gave lavine the deal after on there own there was no match

  12. He's an rfa, bulls have the leverage right now. They are just seeing how cheap they can get him for. If there's an offer sheet they will match it.
