NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns | July 22, 2025 | Warriors vs Suns 2K Preseason

These teams prefer to operate in the half court. They’re very methodical but fun to watch. Hey, good basketball, regardless of the pace at which it’s run, is good basketball. And with these two teams, movement, screening, high IQ offensive basketball. I’m here for that. And now the Golden State Warriors starters in the back court. Rosie Curry and Pachki. Jimmy Butler is out there with Buddy Heel and it’s Green in at the five. Brooks on the double team. They kick out to heal. No, good with the triple. And so Green will bring it up to the Sun. The put back. He hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. And those second chance points really become almost like bonus points when you can get them to the paint. Here’s Green. Pass to Pajki. Good. Great play by Green to set it up. And that’s exactly what he’s looking for. Draining the triple. Booker against Curry. Brooks right side. Back to Booker. Six to shoot. Over Curt and it’s good off the back in. Yeah, such a versatile score. Devin Booker, the three levels. You want to give him the bitty, he’ll take it. Pass to Penski. Heel with it. Curry on the wing. The three. That one misses. Good D by Booker. Suns have gone two of five here, making 40% so far to start out the game. It’s going to be out of bounds. The Suns will retain possession. Great instincts from him to get a hand on that pass and tip it out. And offensively, a little bit of a careless toss. You could have used a better angle on that pass. Here is Brooks. Some nice ball movement here by the Suns. And here’s Booker from the arc. His second shot goes in. Off to a good start. Two for two. You have to honor Booker’s range. This guy can get flowing from the three-point line. on the wing and stolen by Booker. And here we go. Fast break. Booker’s got it. Misses from short range. The Warriors have gone just one of four to get this game started. Rebound by the Suns. And with this score of the Suns in a break, you never know who is going to initiate the offense for him. And that can cause problems at times. Kevin can run you into issues keeping the ball moving. Turnovers can be their Achilles heel as well. Deon Booker sees a window of opportunity to get to the dribble drive game and takes advantage. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan clearly. called the run. No good on that one. Done with some nice D. Pulls it from 20. Tried to bank it in, but he misses. And this is a shot he can definitely make. And the defense not a factor at all. Fouled on the shot. Picks up two points. So, one free throw coming up. This to me is how Butler hurts you. The athleticism, the strength, the body control. Draws the whistle. still finishes the play and he’ll be shooting his first free throw of the game here. And when you shoot 86 from the line like he did last season, you usually cash in on those opportunities. shooting. And what I love most about Jimmy Butler is his will to win and the capacity he has to take his teammates right along with him. Now here’s Booker. Seven points in the game. Brooks left side puts it up from 12. That one’s in. his first bucket of the game. He’s one for two. And first quarter, we’re about 3 and 1/2 minutes in. Healed outside. Back to Curry beyond the arc. It’s hauled in by the Suns. Williams has got four rebounds in this game. Brooks against heel. Brooks misses. Warriors trail by five. And here is Green still yet to score. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. Now here’s Dunn. He’s defended by PMski. Dunn with a screen on heel. Brooks kicks to Booker. Five on the clock. shoots over Curry. No good from Booker. And here’s Green. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Golden State moving the ball around. Curry looking around. Pass to Pajki. There’s three-pointers off the mark. Phoenix leading by five. Now here’s Dunn covered by Heel. Out of bounds. Golden State takes possession. Golden State. And so Steve Gur calls for the timeout. He wants a minute here to get things straightened out with his team with a short break in the action. Gives us a chance now to set Warriors trail by five. Curry with it. Williams picks him up. Curry kicks to Green. Green with a screen on Dun and Curry has it in the corner. Hangs home the trifecta. Curry. It doesn’t matter if it’s off the bounce or off the catch. Scurry never loses rhythm on his jump shot. Brooks against heel. Phoenix no good that time either. Man, when you are as good a shooter as he is, you have to have the confidence to take that shot. Might not always fall. And for most guys, I think you only want to take that shot if you hit a few in a row. That is absolutely a heat check. done with some nice deep boy in that close. He’s almost automatic, but boy, that’s pretty good defense. Wow. And Brandon Pumpsky gets the whistle that time. First person. That is his first foul of the game. And you can see he just didn’t get squared up with his feet. Done outside. Healed against Brooks near the three-point line. It’s Booker. Nice four for seven from the floor with that shot. What a terrific play by just a tremendous allaround player. This guy makes it look easy. Here’s Pachki. It’s hauled in by the Suns. Green’s got rebound number five here tonight. Inside deflects the pass. Pass to Green. Curry on the wing releases. It’s hauled in by the Suns. The pass to Brooks now. And here’s Booker. Takes the bucket. And now he’s got five field goals, five for eight in the game. Boy, just tremendous focus from Devin Booker on the interior. It matters not if he’s facing size. Look out to the middle. Here’s He clock at six. Tries again. shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. There’s a relentless effort from Jimmy Butler every night, and he’s going to push through the foul and get his shot opportunity. And the first one at the line is good. O’Neal’s check in for Phoenix. Grayson Allen comes in for Devin Booker. And the Warriors also making a change. Moses Moody, he’s checked in for Stephen Curry. And he makes both free throws. Well, this guy has multiple ways to get to the free throw line. And boy, has his stroke been on the money. And here’s O’Neal. He’ll bring it out for the Suns. They lead by four. Pass to Green. Shoots the three. Good. And there’s just goes to O’Neal. Beginning to take charge of this game. This could be a crucial point. Well, working hard, building out a small lead, but you can’t afford any kind of let down here. Now, here’s Moody to the inside. Heel. A good finish at the rack off the slick feet. assist goes to and what a show of agility by heel getting around the contact there and right to his finish. Pass to Allen. They kick it out to Green and it’s out of bounds. Last touch by Allen. Boy, not sure what happened on that one. Just an pass to post. Richard guarded by Green. Five to shoot. From the baseline, it’s rebounded by O’Neal. Suns leading by five and when you take a look at someone like Royce O’Neal, what do you see? I mean, so many things, Kevin. There’s great intangibles with this young man. hard worker, incredibly smart defensively, versatile defensively, and he’s so often matched up against the opponent’s best scorer, and relishes it. I love that. And it’s the Warriors with the ball after Jaylen Green’s three-pointer that didn’t go. You can’t give Jimmy Butler that kind of space. He will get above the rim and let you hear about it. Now, here’s Green down low. That one’s in. his first shot of this game. Yeah, another nice bucket down low. They’ve really been able to work the ball into the post effectively here so far. Pass to post. There’s the pick. Puts it up for 15. And there are the Warriors now with another bucket. Boy, the footwork of Jimmy Butler. Impressive. So good at finding room to get his shot off. And here is Allen defended by Moody. Allen kicks to Green. Two minutes remaining in the first. Two minutes. Richards passes to Green. He gets that one. Jaylen Green. Green’s got five. with his athleticism. Green plays a lot bigger than his listed 6’4 height and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. Wow. Wow. He got whacked on that one. Shouldn’t be much debate there. And a look now at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for Phoenix. How about the ball movement so far? I mean, the unselfishness. everyone here just playing for one another and that can be infectious. I think the other thing they’ve done a great job of is making their presence felt inside, converting tons of paint opportunities. Booker, he’s checked in for Jaylen Green. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry’s checked in. That one falls, so he hits both of them. Phoenix leading by three now. Here’s Booker. He’s got 11. 131 left here in the first quarter. Six on the shot clock. Allen pass it to Richards. He finishes nicely on the way through. Richards got his second bucket. and they’ve done well at taking advantage of some late defensive rotations and getting the ball in the paint. Misses the lane. Phoenix has gone two or five from three-point land here in the first quarter. Allen outside. Booker right side. The Suns need to get a shot off. Allen shot is off. Warriors trail by five. 30 seconds left to play in the first quarter. Pass to Curry. Launches from deep. sinks it. What range from outside. Wow. Curry’s got six. I mean, the range is just unreal. Curry can make even the toughest shots. Cookies near the three-point line. It’s Booker. Offline from the top of the key. Curry against Booker. For Booker, the shot by Curry. No good. And so it’s Devin Booker making highlights for the Suns. He comes away with 11 points in the quarter and is showing no signs of fatigue. We come back right after this. And this has been a fairly close game through the first quarter and we’ll see what happens here in the second. And from what we’ve seen guys from Phoenix, what do you guys see? You got to credit their defense communicating, rotating, making plays on the ball. Yeah, I think they wanted to come out of the gate strong and they have. They’ve taken the early lead here. The Warriors trailer so on the floor for Golden State to begin this second quarter. He got Trace Jackson Davis. Moses Moody is out there with Stephen Curry and it’s post in at the pivot spot. Manning the middle. Booker no good. Warriors shooting a low low 30% right now on a offensive performance. Jackson Davis with it working on Allen. Here’s Moody and no good. Had a chance to take the lead there. And so Allen will bring it up now for the Phoenix Suns. Here’s Richard. Booker right side. Pass to Igodaro. Shot clock at five. O’Neal from long range and Santos pulls it down. Golden State’s gone 0 or two from deep in the Socks. Time now to turn to our sideline reporter David Aldrich. David Kevin, a couple of seasons ago, Steph Curry first brought out the night night when he put a team away. Asked about his inspiration, he said, “I have no idea. I don’t choreograph any of that stuff. I was just having fun.” You know how kids bedtime routines are important? It’s the final signal for job well done that day. Kevin, well said. He is a one of one da. Now here is O’Neal. Devin Booker missing his last shot for the three. The rebound by Post. Warriors have gone one of three to start out the second quarter. A three ball. It’s hauled in by the Suns. Here’s Booker. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting. Jackson Davis. You know, you talk about a foundational piece to start his career. Devin Booker toiled through what doors a half a decade of losing in Phoenix. It was all of that, Kevin. But what I admire most is through all of that losing, he never stopped working. And the losing never stopped bothering him. He never got comfortable with it. Now all of a sudden, other players see his talent. They want to join him. And it’s a much more competitive basketball team. And there is one guy who rarely has an off night. Devin Booker. He has been the model of consistent excellence, Kevin. This guy so efficient, so productive, all about winning. I am not sure Devin Booker gets the credit he deserves for the level he’s at every night. Both free throws good from Booker. Greg, every year injuries are a huge factor in shaping the title race. And I’m guessing that teams should probably put more of a premium on durability. What do you think? Well, Kevin, I think all GMs take that into account. A team wants to be confident they’ll have a stable roster over the course of a long season. You cannot give Curry an inch. This guy is relentless when he’s behind the arc. Booker looking around. Kevin Booker attacking and it’s Curry with the rebound. That’s not the type of opportunity he fails to convert very often. Out to the right wing. Pass to Jackson Davis. Golden State moving the ball around. Here’s post. Defended by Richards. And there’s the foul. It’ll go on Trace Johnson Davis. That’s foul number two for him. First team foul. The Suns trailing and the Suns for their first time out of the game. You know, I think one thing coach will address in this timeout right now is you’re missing a lot of shots. Why not become more of a facilitator out there? Quarter number two around three minutes gone by. O’Neal outside pass to Richards. Here’s Booker guarded by Ker. Just five to shoot. Allen for the three. Out of bounds. Golden State takes possession. Warriors have gone two of six on the field in the second quarter so far. O’Neal against Green. Rebound by Williams. Williams has got six rebounds here tonight. Here’s Booker and the basket is good and he’s got a chance here for one more at the line. How about the ability to adjust after the contact Booker the score in the end. This will be his third free throw shot of the game. And you look at his numbers from last year, 89% from the line. So hard to ask for much more than that. One shot. That one misses for Booker. An elite offensive threat. Booker continues to try and find ways to improve his game. takes a shot at the elbow. Shot by Pensky. No good. The Suns leading. Here’s Allen. Penski grabs the board. Curry with it. He’s picked up by O’Neal. Three. Good. And Curry gets the assist. There’s a dogged intensity with which Draymond Green plays the game of basketball. He will get to the space he wants and score it. Now here’s Booker. He’s got 15. And again, it’s the Suns missing pass to Curry. One more. Here’s Post. Now, here’s Moody. I got yours. I got yours. Now Curry. Nine points in the game so far. No good on the triple. And even without that three ball drop, the pitch should have done more on that last play. Brooks kicks to O’Neal. Pass to Booker. O’Neal sets the screen for Booker. Just five on the clock. Now Brooks. O’Neal on the wing. Off the mark there with the three-point shot. And it’s Pajki in the corner. Back to Curry. Here’s Post from outside. Off the mark. Now here’s Brooks. Defense right on him. O’Neal finds Booker. Booker draws the double. Nice ball movement by Phoenix. Nice shot by Brooks. Spacing the floor. Brooks is comfortable shooting at me. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Golden State Warriors trailing by two. The three. Stephen Curry. What a shooter. And guys getting into a nice groove here. Starting to feel it. And this is partly what the game has become, right? A matter of dueling three-point opportunities. Here’s Poachki. Rebound by Williams. Williams has back. Double digit rebounds now in the game. Brooks left side. Allen surveying the Dan. Here’s Williams. A basket. Good off the hitch from Allen. And the Suns lead by one. Guys, what a wild first half this has been. Wow. Back and forth start, that’s for sure. Pass to Curry. now Pajimki. Here’s Post outside. Curry. Count that one. Stephen Curry. Curry’s got the lead up to one now for the Warriors. Boy, Curry just taking over and seemingly able to get anything he wants right now. O’Neal outside. Williams has a screen for O’Neal. Back to Williams. And he misses the fast break layup. Oh, that’s a golden opportunity to finish on the break and he blows it. It was right there for him. He’d love to have that one back. That was embarrassing. Now here’s Moody. Devin Booker missing his last shot. Here’s Green and contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. First personal foul. Well, make no mistake, Trayvon Green will bully you on the interior if you allow it. You’ve got to make sure he doesn’t force the issue at the line for a break down here. After the ball, looking to jump into the passing lanes and create some steals in transition. I think the other thing they’re doing is they’re wearing out the opponent in transition, exploding the floor for easy chances. Some jamed in for Booker. Jimmy Butler. He’s jumped in for the Warriors. Buddy Heel comes in for Curry. I don’t think you can help but admire what Draymond Green brings to the floor on a night by basis. This guy plays with a giant chip and he wants his teammates to come with him. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead is cut to just one on the basket from Williams. Well, that’s not the guy you want guarding him at the rim. Just too much of a differential in terms of size. When you look at the game of Mark Williams, Doris, what impresses you the most? Well, probably his size and athleticism. That combination makes him an immediate fit. He understands which shots to take on the offensive end. Seems to have a great feel for how to position himself on the defensive end and how to mix it up on the glass. Now, here’s Brooks. Jimmy Butler unable to get his last shot to go. Pacheky with it. Good as Green picking up the assist. Green’s got three assists now in this one. I think you pay the consequences if you leave Draymond Green’s teammates open. He has a knack for getting the basketball where it needs to be. Now here’s Dunn. Still scoreless. Brooks with no one around and the three off target. Warriors lead by three. And here is Moody and foul on the shot. So he’ll get a chance at the line. First personal foul. Second team foul. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. The Warriors Moses Moody. Two shots. And he makes the first. So after making the first, he goes one for two. Suns trail by four. Now here’s Dunn. Nobody near Allen. The offensive rebound and done with the slam. Good to see a player going all out in the games this tight. You know, G, he knows what his job is. Control the offensive glass. And that’s so demoralizing to your opponent to play great defense and have the possession. Moody with it. Working on Allen. Healed outside. Pass to Pajki off target with his three. The Suns trailing. Allen for three and Moody pulls it down. He is singlehandedly dropping the temperature in here with that cold streak. He is trying to shoot his way out of it and it might be better for him to pass the basketball at this point. Back to Green. Shot clock at six. Golden State needs to get off a shot and it goes out of bounds. Nice touch by Green. That is just a careless turnover. You’ve got to be smarter in those exchanges. El Phoenix shooting a cool 28% in the second quarter. Green passes to Williams. Two minutes remaining in the clock. Allen outside. That doesn’t go in. Had a chance though to take the lead in the corner. Moody with it. Pass to Green. Nice D from Brooks. Enzo Brooks will bring it up for the Phoenix Suns. Green with the ball. Defended by Moody. Green passes to Ellen. Launches it. It’s rebounded by Golden State. Green’s got rebound number eight here tonight from the game. Pass to Moody. And he can’t stop this drought. Another miss. El Phoenix Indian 37% from the field. Brooks feeling it out a bit. Here’s Green and he can’t bank that one in. The Warriors lead it. 34 seconds left in the first half of the game and the call on the shot that sends it to the line. The Warriors have shot the ball well from the free throw line, eight of nine. And just to mention, a season ago, they were very comfortable at the line, hitting about 78% of their free throws. That free throw no good. And the Suns making a change here. Gillespie’s checked in. Grace Jackson Davis is checked in for the Warriors. And he’s good on the second. 30 seconds left in the first half. They’ve been struggling here on offense. Yeah, a bit of a dry spell for sure. Brooks from outside. It’s rebounded by Golden State. No idea why he’s attempting so many outside shots. It’s not his day and he needs to either look to drive or get it to an open teammate, shoots. It’s been all about Stephen Curry for the Golden State Warriors. He ends up profiting in two for distance. Making a difference from long range in this one. And now we’ll send it over to David Aldridge who is standing by courtside. David, thanks very much, Steve. Some great engagement defense. Warriors leading by three. You’ve got Williams, Dylan Brooks out there with Dun. Then there’s Devin Booker. And it’s Green in at the shooting guard position. Who’s out there for Phoenix? He against Brooks. He can’t hit. Al Phoenix shooting around 36%. They’re just not able to finish consistently. Warriors shooting around 29% from the floor. Tough time for them all around on the offensive end. Here’s Curry. Curry crashes inside. Stronger than he looks. Curry able to take the hit there and finish. Here’s Brooks. Williams gets to Dun. Connects from three-point range. Guns got five points so far. Maybe he’s not one of the elite sharp shooters, but even still, that’s not a shot that he can afford to give. done with some nice deep. Suns have gone one of three since starting the second half. Over in the corner, Green. First minute and a half of basketball here in the third quarter. They get it back. Hard earned by Butler. And this kind of shot defines who Butler is. Just a bulldog who embraces finishing against the tight coverage. D looking over the floor. Hooker with no one around. And that one comes up a bit short. And here’s Heield. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Since the second half started, they’ve only given up three points. At all times he’s on the court. He is active and physical. He loves being in the middle of the action. These are his third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. Shooting two. That one is no good. Suns trail by five. Pass to Dun outside Green. Here’s the jar drop. That’s good from Booker. Wild assist by Green. This guy has so many shots up his sleeve. Devin Booker loves to go with that floater when it’s presented to him. got the lead. Back up to five now for the Warriors. Phoenix calls timeout. Curry with a strong contribution so far in this one. And he is absolutely dialed in from outside. They can close out on him much quicker. And it’s the Suns with the ball. It’s a five-point game outside. Green pass to Williams. Just four to shoot over healed. So the Suns take on two more. Warriors lead by three. healed outside. Some nice passing by Golden State. Lets it go from deep. Oh, but they’re training the three-point field goal. Boy, zero hesitation from Butler. Takes the pass and fires immediately. Booker outside. Outside Green pass to Williams. Good as Green picking up the assist. Williams has got 10. Solid job of moving the ball by Green setting up a teammate. Aki on the wing on the arc. Green with the rebound. Greens got his eighth rebound here tonight. Booker outside. Brooks outside. Stolen. Pajki with it. He’s picked up by Brooks. And Brandon Pachki gets the whistle that time. Personal foul. That’s foul number two for him. Yeah, way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact. Suns trail by four. Now Brooks, he has five. Williams, a screen on heel. Three-pointer. Brooks. Warriors with the rebound. Pajk’s got six rebounds here tonight. Healed the pass to Green. Now Booker pass to Dunn. Booker dishes to Green. front pass the arc drills the three-pointer’s got eight knows that he needs to take and make threes at a good clip nice shot there with its picks him up on top five points in the game and he overshot that one missing well seized up just a little bit at the last second that’s when he normally converts Green taking his time here. Inside, cuts off the pass and up the court come the Warriors on the break. And a quick mind by Jimmy Butler. Creates the turnover. Gets right out in transition. And so Booker will bring it up for Phoenix. Outside Green outside kicks it out to Booker. Pocket six. Back to Dun for a tie. Raymond Green with the rebound. Green’s got double digit rebounds now in the game. on the wing. Green. They get the rebound. Another shot. Can’t capitalize inside. Suns trail by three. Dunn passes to Booker. And here is Green. Three-pointer. Pajinski grabs the board. Warriors leading by three. Pass to Green and Golden State looking at who they’ve got in the back court. We’ll see Curry and Poachki. Jimmy Butler is out there with Draymond Green and it’s Moody in at the small forward position and it’s in there. And so Green will bring it up for the Warriors. They’ve led by as many as 14 points. Pass to Vimki trying to find Green. He’s got it now. Just five on the clock. Puts up a deep three. Phoenix grabs the miss. Richard’s got rebound number eight here tonight in the game. It’s deflected. One-on-one fast break. Back to PJski. Good D by Booker. For him, it’s harder to miss that shot than it is to make that shot. I think he was anticipating a bit of a bump there. Hate to say it, but if they’re still trailing at the final buzzer, a lot of this is going to be felt by him. His shooting tonight has just been atrocious. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. Suns trail by seven. Brooks kicks to Booker. Brooks with a screen on Crew. And here’s Booker from the arc. Connects from three-point range. Booker’s got nine. And when Booker’s connecting deep, this offense goes to another level. Good to see him drain that. It’s rebounded by O’Neal. The Suns shooting 37% so far in the third quarter and they’re not satisfied with this lack of offensive execution. And let’s head over to the sideline and catch up with David. Kevin, thanks. Jaylen Green has shown he’s capable of carrying a team offensively. He said, “It feels good knowing that my teammates believe in me to do that. Had to learn a lot of things to grow, but that’s what I work for. I want to be one of those guys that you give the ball to in crunch time.” Kevin, I always want to give the mic to you in crunch time. Back to you. You are an unselfish playmaker. Appreciate that. By the way, green can be electric and so fun to watch. Hey, Da. Thanks. pass to Moody. No one near Curry as he lets it go. The three-pointer is right on target. Curry’s got seven points for the quarterback. He has created some terrific opportunities for himself and really made the most of them. Booker against Ker and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. G. When you think about Deon Booker scoring ability, he always has been ahead of the curve. The youngest player ever to score 70 in a game, amongst the youngest to get to 10,000 points. Booker is on a historic scoring pace. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. Free throw good. Booker known as one of the purest scorers in the game. Booker’s main focus remains competing for championships. And Phoenix making a change here. Allen’s checked in. Big Both free throws good from Booker. And what an advantage. You really feel like you can always trust him when he’s at the line. Booker against Curry. Butler making it happen inside. Assisted by and Butler giving you the full buffet of the things he can do to the inside. O’Neal. It’s all in by Jackson Davis. Jackson Davis has got his fourth rebound in this one. Here’s Moody shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. Yeah, easy foul. What do you guys think so far about the offensive approach for the Warriors, the three-pointers, and how well they’re able to shoot them. You wonder if they can keep it up and boy have it. And I feel like there’s been an old school aspect to what they’ve done tonight, and that is pounding the ball inside, getting it down low, getting those looks in close. That’s been effective. He throw good. Moody and Phoenix making a change here. Joseph checked in. So one for two that time with the strike. Suns trail by six. Here’s Green for 19 points in the game. Shows us the pass to O’Neal. There’s the pick. Allen drives in a kick out to O’Neal. And too much time in the lane. They get called to the 3sec violation. Warriors leading by six. 106 left in the third quarter. Here’s Curry with the three. Booty offline with his three. And so it’s Joseph with it. He’ll bring it up for the Phoenix Suns. O’Neal no good. And that was almost a block. Still did enough to alter the shot. Yeah, altering the shot. Just as long as there’s a miss, that kind of energy not wasted. Oh, no. Stopping Buckley that time. Well, he doesn’t look satisfied with the lead right now. He wants more. He looks like he’s going to get it. Joseph against Curry. Allen shot is off. Smart anchor advances, Greg, are really paying off for them at the moment. And also good off ball movement. Everyone is paying attention and looking to create the best shot for the team. Down low, Richards passes to Green. Fires away from way outside. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Golden State Warriors. and his big game just keeps getting bigger. That quarter sees him get over 30 points and we’ll be back with you shortly. Now, let’s take a look at our assist of the game presented by State Farm. Just true artistry right there. I mean, great decision on where to go with the ball. And how about the perfect delivery? Yeah, those are the kind of plays that you want to put on a canvas. Just beautiful basketball. Fourth quarter of action is upon us. Thanks as always for joining us. Suns trail by eight. We got out. He’s out there with Deon Booker. O’Neal is out there with Nick Richards. And it’s Igodono in at the fourman position. Who’s out there for Phoenix? Now here’s Moody. He’s covered closely. They set the pick pass to post. No one near Curry as he lets it go. Buries the long range jumper. Field goal. Curry’s got the first points up on the board here in the fourth for the Warriors. O’Neal looking around. Booker in the corner. Six on the shot clock and contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. He gets Stephen Curry and a big part of perimeter defense. Greg avoiding screens. What are some of the tricks of the trade in that regard? Well, sometimes you have to get skinny. I mean, other times it’s using your strength. A lot goes into it. Also, you know, getting a cadence for the screener. It’s one of the more challenging aspects of NBA defense. Good. Free throw. Good. Booker. And Booker just one of these guys who’s calculating on the offensive end. He’s trying to figure out what defenses are doing. He’s always working hard to find shots and he’s going to influence the game with the way he can produce. He hits both from the strike. Wow. They’ve made every free throw here in the second half. There’s the screen. Pass to Jackson Davis. Curry with it. Defended by Booker. Right side cur and it’s blocked back to Jackson Davis and it’s Curry at the elbow. Moody with it and there’s the whistle. 3sec violation violation. And a moment now to check out who the Warriors have coming up on their schedule on Tuesday. They’ll be taking on Yonis Valenunis and the Denver Nuggets. Then on Thursday, they’ll be taking on Clint Capella and the Houston Rockets. And for that game against the Timberwolves, it’s the second game of a backto back. And you know, they’re going to be feeling the effects of it. Playing that much basketball in that short amount of time really takes it. And the Warrior lead has been cut to just seven points in the basket from Allen. Curry on the wing. Defended by Booker. It’s up a three. Curry shot is off. I think if I was coaching these guys right now, especially him, I’d tell them you take one more three-point shot. We’re going to have some some conversations here side by side. Here’s Igodoro pass to Allen. shoots over Curry and Moody pulls it down. Moody’s got four rebounds now tonight. Outside Curry the three ball. Curry making it look so easy. And really as the three-pointers keep dropping, you get the sense that the frustration is mounting for the defense. Pass to Igodaro. Now Booker may face up the screen, shoots over Curry. That’s good. And the Warriors go down to just eight points with the bucket from Devin Booker. Of the confidence of Devin Booker when he gets a screen, he knows what he wants to do. Curry with it. Lots of room. Curry with another miss. You love to make him pay for giving up that wide open jumper. Unable to do so. No good from Booker. Maybe there are ways to contribute that don’t involve shooting the basketball. That’s the best way that maybe he can help them out trying to win this game. So many years in the NBA. You would think Curry would slow down, wouldn’t you? But he remains at the very top of his game. I think the best part about what we’re seeing with Steph right now, Kevin, is his competitive will. You get to this age and you get to this stage after accomplishing all the things that Steph has done and it’s still not enough. So, let’s keep enjoying him while we can and he knocks down the first one. Yeah, we talked so much about Curry being the best shooter after he makes a three, but there’s a lot more to it. But I mean, this guy’s also the most accurate free throw shooter of all time. So, it’s pure no matter where it comes from. Dylan Brooks, he’s checked in for Phoenix. Pajki, he’s checked in for the Warriors. how much fun he seems to have on the floor. Embraces the competition and is able to laugh it off when something doesn’t go his way. A lot of things do though. Here’s Booker and off the front and it goes. Booker’s got 11 in the second half. Warriors leading by eight. Now here’s Curry to the middle trying to find Jackson Davis and gets it to him. Out of bounds. It’ll go to the Suns. Man, if you’re going to grab it, grab that thing. He just lazily reaches out for that and the result is it’s deflected right off of his hand. Always good to get another look at a terrific defensive play. Yeah, quick thinking pays off big. What a block for Phoenix. They’ve gone three of six from the field so far in the fourth quarter. Here’s Booker. Fantastic finish by Booker. And he is really in a zone right now playing and scoring for Con. Pass to Jackson Davis. outside curl takes the three and it’s Phoenix with the rebound and the stroke definitely lacking confidence this quarter nothing and it’s blocked out of Suns ball as Phoenix keeps possession and we have to take another glance at that powerful rejection and this is how you protect and grow a lead by making a huge effort on that end of the Four. Warriors on D. They’ve led by as many as 14 points. Hajki on the wing. Pass to Jackson Davis. played in with a nice touch off the glass. Any possession that ends in a shot from that range after a good player and ball movement, that’s a good one. They set the pick and his hooker from the AR gets rebounded by Golden State. Jackson Davis has got nine rebounds now tonight. The shooting numbers just aren’t there yet in the quarter. Here’s post. Defended by Richards. Pass to Jackson Davis. Down to five on the shot clock. On its way from Curry for two. Rebound by the Suns. Brooks has got his fourth rebound in this one. Now Allen. Some nice ball movement here by the Suns. And Booker kicks to Brooks. Back to Booker. Co with a three. Phoenix no good that time either. It’s another just bad decision on a night full of those. His shot selection tonight has been questionable at best. Back to Jackson Davis to the paint. Here’s Pachki. Plays it up and takes it in. And the Warriors lead by 10. And Matador defense, that’s one of the easiest shots he is ever going to see. Yeah, feels like Christmas right now. Just gift drapping points. Out to the wing. Brooks outside. Pass to Igodaro. Allen inside the three-point line. And again, it’s the Suns missing Warriors leading by 10. And now here’s Curry. Here’s Jackson Davis. Inside out to the right wing, launches a three, misses off the left eye. Mid-range is where he makes the money. So when the D’s slow to get out on him, always surprising to see him miss from there. Well, after an impressive first half, he’s just not been able to get the room or get anything going here in the second. Pass to Pajki. There’s the pick. Three-pointer and it’s Phoenix with the rebound. One made three form for the game. Does he focus closer in? Let’s see. Curry against Booker. Shoots over Curry. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead is cut down now to just eight on the basket from Booker. It feels like the other four guys have disappeared at this point. He wants to be the one to get them back. And the call is going to Yes. Yes, it is. An illegal screen. Yeah, the four turn over there. That’s just a a rough sloppy game. Green, he’s checked in for Golden State. Healed comes in for Moses Moody. Phoenix has gone 0 and three so far in the fourth quarter from long range. The Suns call time. In on Jordan’s huddle, he was disappointed in the shot selection. He told them, “Stay patient, run the offense, make the extra pass. We don’t have to make up the deficit all at once.” We’ll see if they start shooting a little better. Kevin, thank you, David. On defense, the Warriors have led by as many as 14 points. Dunn kicks to Brooks. Pass to Green. Green with a screen for Williams. Six to shoot. They kick it out to Green. Good. A nice assist from Booker. Booker’s got assist number eight here in this one already. Warriors leading by five. Outside curve done with some nice deep. The game has been very close in a lot of areas, but rebounding has been the one differentiator thus far. Booker looking around. Draymond Green pulls it in. Green’s got his eighth rebound here tonight. It’s tipped. Curry is inside. He’s against Green. Shoots a finger. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. That’s on Mark Williams. Pump fake can still be used. This just in with a great up fake to keep the defense off balance for two. And the first one drops. And just not nearly as effective at drawing fouls on the defense as he was in that first half. That one falls so he hits both of them. Always one of the hardest workers on his team. Jimmy Butler knows how to win. Here’s Booker. Curry with the rebound. Warriors leading by seven. Green with a screen on D. Here’s the three and it’s Phoenix with the rebound. Williams has got rebound number nine now. What an effort here tonight. Dunn finds Greens it out to Booker and it’s off from three-point range. Golden State’s gone a disappointing two assists on three-point attempts here in the fourth. Shot from 12. Connects. The jumper drops. Curry’s got seven points for just show you how impressive Curry’s shooting ability is that he can adjust for any distance near the three-point line. It’s Booker and right through it goes. Really well done there. Just confident and composed. Never in a hurry. Curry against Booker. Curry can’t get it to go and so Booker will bring it up for the silence. Seven-point differential Booker is the leader and you got to trust him in that spot. Curry looking around shoots it up and yet nobody on it. Here comes the jumper. Curry’s got 29. Sun shooting in the fourth quarter has looked shattered 38%. And the call on the shot that sends it to the line. Personal foul. Really just forcing the defense’s hand close to the rim. Booker so skilled at finding ways to get himself to the charity strike. taking two shots. Shooting two. First free throw is good. And that brings them within five. Both free throws good from Booker. Nice work there. This is a point in the game where if you get a chance to close the gap, you’ve got to make the most of it. Curry against Booker. Takes a three and it’s Phoenix with the rebound. Green kicks to Booker. Shoots the three. Penski grabs the board. Yeah, not a fan of that one. He wants to help his team cut into this deficit. Should not be attempting those kind of shots. And guys, this is where their depth really comes into play. They’ve got such talent at that position. They’d love to have him out there, but they won’t suffer much of a drop off. And a deep three from Curry. Green with the rebound. And it’s the Suns with the ball. Trailing by four. Here’s Dunn. That shot misses and they go to the intentional foul. Done. Second personal foul. 14 foul at the line for the Warriors. Jimmy, two shots. So, the first one drops and that puts them up by five. And so both free throws are good. It’s a six-point ball game. Some padding here. There’s 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Got it. Booker coming through again. What a huge shot. 13. He’s checked in for Curry. Time for your sons. Gavin Booker. One shot. One shot. Free throw. Good. Booker. And so they foul intentionally. Devin Booker second personal foul, 15 foul. Shooting from Golden State. Pajki taking two shots. He drops the first one and that gives them a four-point cushion. done outside. Pass to Richards. Dunn kicks to Green. Back to Dunn. No good. And Tight defense there. Bothered that shot. So we see the Warriors get the win here. A narrow win under difficult circumstances as the visiting team. It really was that road team. All I know is they were a better team. Well said. And now let’s check in with David Aldridge reporting from the sideline for our player of the game. David, take it away. Thanks very much, Jimmy. Explosive night for you offensively. You were feeling it out there. uh feeling it and and taking rhythm shots. I feel like all shots that I take are going to go in because I’m so used to taking those shots, man. But for my basketball, these teams prefer to operate in the half court. They’re very methodical but fun to watch. Hey, good basketball regardless of the pace at which it’s run is good basketball. And with these two teams, movement, screening, high IQ offensive basketball, I’m here for that. And now the Golden State Warriors starters in the back court. Rosie Curry and Pajki. Jimmy Butler is out there with Buddy Heel. And it’s Green in at the five. Brooks on the double team. They kick out to Heel. Oh, good with the triple. And so Green will bring it up for the Sun. The put back. He hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. And those second chance points really become almost like bonus points when you can get them. To the paint. Here’s Green. Pass to Pajki. Good. Great play by Green to set it up. And that’s exactly what he’s looking for. Draining the triple. Booker against Curry. Brooks right side. Back to Booker. Six to shoot over Curt and it’s good off the back rim and in. Yeah, such a versatile score. Devin Booker the three levels. You want to give him the midi, he’ll take it. Pass to Pajki. Aki on the wing and stolen by Booker. And here we go. Fast break. Booker’s got it. Misses from short range. The Warriors have gone just one of four to get this game started. Rebound by the Suns. And with this score of the Suns deal break, you never know who is going to initiate the offense for them. And that can cause problems at times. Deon can run you into issues keeping the ball moving. Turnovers can be their Achilles heel as well. Now Devin Booker sees a window of opportunity to get to the dribble drive game and takes advantage. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan. Clearly the run. No good on that one. Done with some nice D. Pulls it from 20. Tried to bank it in, but he misses. And this is a shot he can definitely make. and the defense not a factor at all. Fouled on the shot, picks up two points. So, one free throw coming up. This to me is how Butler hurts you. The athleticism, the strength, the body control, draws the whistle, still finishes the play. And he’ll be shooting his first free throw of the game. And when you shoot 86 from the line like he did last season, you usually cash in on those opportunities. And what I love most about Jimmy Butler is his will to win and the capacity he has to take his teammates right along with him. Now here’s Booker. Seven points in the game. Brooks left side, puts it up from 12. That one’s in. His first bucket of the game. He’s one for two. And first quarter, we’re about three and a half minutes in. He’s defended by Pajki. Done with a screen on heel. Brooks kicks to Booker. Five on the clock. Shoots over Curry. No good from Booker. And here’s Green. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Curry looking around pass to Pajki. There’s two-pointers off the mark. Phoenix leading by five. Now here’s Dun covered by Heel. Out of bounds. Golden State takes possession. And so Steve Curr calls for the timeout. He wants a minute here to get things straightened out with his team with a short break in the action. Gives us a chance now to set Warriors trail by five. Curry with it. Williams picks him up. Curry kicks to Green. Green with a screen on. Done. And Curry has it in the corner. Bangs home the trifecta. Curry. It doesn’t matter if it’s off the bounce or off the catch. Curry never loses rhythm on his jump shot. Brooks against Phoenix. No good that time either. Man, when you are as good a shooter as he is, you have to have the confidence to take that shot. You might not always fall. And for most guys, I think you only want to take that shot if you hit a few in a row. That is absolutely a heat check. Done with some nice deep boy in that close. He’s almost automatic, but boy, that’s pretty good defense. Wow. And Brandon Pipsky hits the whistle that time. First person. That is his first foul of the game. And you can see he just didn’t get squared up with his feet. Done outside. Hey yo, right here. Healed against Brooks near the three-point line. It’s Booker. Nice. Four for seven from the floor with that shot. What a terrific play by just a tremendous allaround player. This guy makes it look easy. Here’s Pachki. It’s hauled in by the Suns. Green’s got rebound number five here tonight. Inside deflects the pass. Pass to Green. Curry on the wing. Releases. It’s hauled in by the Suns. Green. The pass to Brooks. Now done. And here’s Booker. Takes the bucket. Now he’s got five field goals. Five for eight in the game. Boy, just tremendous focus from Devin Booker on the interior. It matters not if he’s facing size. Look out to the middle. Here’s Heel. Clock at six. Tries again. Shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. There’s a relentless effort from Jimmy Butler every night. And he’s going to push through the foul and get his shot opportunity. And the first one at the line is good. O’Neal’s check in for Phoenix. Grayson Allen comes in for Devin Booker. And the Warriors also making a change. Moses Moody. He’s checked in for Stephen Curry. And he makes both free throws. Well, this guy has multiple ways to get to the free throw line. And boy, has his stroke been on the money. And here’s O’Neal. He’ll bring it up for the Suns. They lead by four. Pass to Green. Shoots the three. Good. And the assist goes to O’Neal. Beginning to take charge of this game. This could be a crucial point. Well, working hard, building out a small lead, but you can’t afford any kind of let down here. Now, here’s Moody to the inside. Heel. A good finish at the rack off the slick feet. And what a show of agility by Heel getting around the contact there and right to his finish. Pass to Allen. They kick it out to Green and it’s out of bounds. Last touch by Allen. Boy, not sure what happened on that one. Just an unbelievable Pass to post. Richard guarded by Green. to shoot from the baseline. It’s rebounded by O’Neal. Suns leading by five and when you take a look at someone like Royce O’Neal, what do you see? I mean, so many things, Kevin. There’s great intangibles with this young man. Hard worker, incredibly smart defensively, versatile defensively, and he’s so often matched up against the opponent’s best scorer and relishes it. I love that. And it’s the Warriors with the ball after Jaylen Green’s three-pointer that didn’t go. You can’t give Jimmy Butler that kind of space. He will get above the rim and let you hear about it. Now here’s Green. Down low. That one’s in. His first shot of this game. Yeah, another nice bucket down low. They’ve really been able to work the ball into the post effectively here so far. pass to post. There’s the pick. Puts it up from 15. With his athleticism, Green plays a lot bigger than his listed 6’4 height. And he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. Wow. Wow. He got whacked on that one. Shouldn’t be much debate there. And a look now at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for Phoenix. How about the ball movement so far? I mean, the unselfishness, everyone here just playing for one another and that can be infectious. I think the other thing they’ve done a great job of is making their presence felt inside, converting tons of paint opportunities. Booker. He’s checked in for Jaylen Green. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry’s checked in. That one falls. So, he hits both of them. Phoenix leading by three. Now, here’s Brooker. He’s got 11. 131 left here in the first quarter. Six on the shot clock. Allen pass it to Richards and he finishes nicely on the way through. Richards got his second bucket. And they’ve done well at taking advantage of some late defensive rotations and getting the ball in the paint. misses the layup. Phoenix has gone two or five from three-point land here in the first quart. Hook easy. Near the three-point line. It’s Booker offline from the top of the key. The Warriors trail. So on the floor for Golden State to begin this second quarter, we got Trace Jackson Davis. Moses Moody is out there with Stephen Curry and it’s post in at the pivot spot. Manning the middle. Booker no good. Warriors shooting a low low 30% right now on every offensive performance. Jackson Davis with it working on Allen. Here’s Moody and no good. Had a chance to take the lead there. And so Allen will bring it up now for the Phoenix Suns. Here’s Richard. Booker right side pass to Igodaro. Shot clock at five. O’Neal from long range and Santos pulls it down. Golden State’s caught 0 or two from deep in the time now to turn to our sideline reporter David Aldrich. David Kevin a couple of seasons ago Steph Curry first brought out the night night when he put a team away. Asked about his inspiration he said I have no idea. I don’t choreograph any of that stuff. I was just having fun. You know how kids bedtime routines are important. It’s the final signal for job well done that day. Kevin, well said. He is a one of one. Da. Now here is O’Neal. Devin Booker missing his last shot for the three. The rebound by Post. Warriors have gone one of three to start out the second quarter. a free ball. It’s hauled in by the Suns. Here’s Booker. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting problem. Now all of a sudden, other players see his talent, they want to join him, and it’s a much more competitive basketball team. And there is one guy who rarely has an off night, Devin Booker. A team wants to be confident it’ll have a stable roster over the course of a long season. Davis. That’s foul number two for him. First team foul. The Suns trailing and the Suns first time out of the game. You know, I think one thing coach will address in this timeout right now is you’re missing a lot of shots. Why not become more of a facilitator out there? Quarter number two around 3 minutes gone by. O’Neal outside pass to Richards. Here’s Booker guarded by Kerr. Shot by Pajki. Here’s Post now. Here’s Moody. I got yours. I got yours. Now Curry. Nine points in the game so far. No good on the triple. And even without that three ball dropping for him, but should have done more on that last play. Brooks kicks to O’Neal. Pass to Booker. O’Neal sets the screen for Booker. Just five on the clock. Now Brooks O’Neal on the wing. Facing the floor. Brooks is comfortable shooting at me. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Golden State Warriors. Trailing by two. The three. Stephen Curry, what a shooter field goal. And guys getting into a nice groove here. Starting to feel it. And this is partly what the game has become, right? A matter of dueling three-point opportunities. Here’s Pompeki. Rebound by Williams. Williams has got double digit rebounds now in the game. Brooks left side. There we go. Allen surveying the D. Here’s Williams. A basket. Good off the from Allen. And the Suns lead by one, guys. What a wild first half this has been. Wow. Back in fourth start, that’s for sure. That’s to Curry now. Pajki. Here’s Post. Outside Curry. Count that one. Curry. So, he’ll be shooting before he throws you. First personal. Well, make no mistake, Draymond Green will bully you on the interior if you allow it. You’ve got to make sure he doesn’t force the issue. at the line for a breakdown here after the ball looking to jump into the passing lanes and create some steals in transition. I think the other thing they’re doing is they’re wearing out the opponent in transition, exploding up the floor for easy chances. Sun chained in for Booker. Jimmy Butler, he’s jumped in for the Warriors. Now here’s Brooks. And here is Moody. And foul on the shot. So he’ll get a chance at the line. First personal foul. Second team foul. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. Warriors. Moses Moody. Two shots. And he makes the first. So after making the first, he goes one for two. Suns trail by four. Now here’s Dunn. Nobody near Allen. the offensive rebound and done with the slate. Good to see a player going all out when the game’s this tight. You know, G, he knows what his job is. Control the offensive glass. And that’s so demoralizing to your opponent to play great defense and have the possession. Moody with it. Working on Allen. Healed outside. Pass to Pajki off target with his three. The Suns trailer. Green passes to Allen. Launches it. It’s rebounded by Golden State. Green’s got rebound number eight here tonight in the game. Pass to Moody. And he can’t stop this drought. Another miss. El Phoenix shooting struggles as apparent. 37% from the field. Brooks feeling it out a bit. Here’s Green and he can’t bank that one in. The Warriors leading. 34 seconds left in the first half of the game and the call on the shot. It sends it to the line. It’s not his day and he needs to either look to drive or get it to an open teammate. Shoots. It’s been all about Stephen Curry for the Golden State Warriors. He ends up profiting in two for distance. Making a difference from long range in this one. And now we’ll send it over to David Aldridge who is standing by courtside. David. Thanks very much, Steve. Some great engagement defense. Warriors leading by three. You’ve got Williams, Dylan Brooks out there with Dun. Then there’s Deon Booker. And it’s Green in at the shooting guard position. Who’s out there for Phoenix? He against Brooks. He can’t hit. El Phoenix shooting around 36%. They’re just not able to finish consistently. Warriors shooting around 29% from the floor. Tough night time for them all around on the offensive end. Here’s Curry. Curry crashes inside. Stronger than he looks. Curry able to take the hit there and finish. Here’s Brooks. Williams gets to Dun. Connects from three-point range. Dun’s got five points so far. Don looking over the floor. Hilker with no one around. Pass to Dun outside. Green. Here’s the teardrop. That’s good from Booker on the assist by Green. This guy has so many shots up his sleeve. Devin Booker loves to go with that floater when it’s presented to him. Heels got the lead. Back up to five now for the Warriors. Phoenix calls timeout. Curry with a strong contribution so far in this one. And he is absolutely dialed in from outside. They can close out on him much quicker. Oh, and it’s the Suns with the ball. It’s a five-point game outside. Green pass to Williams. Just four to shoot over healed. So, the Suns take on two more. Warriors lead by three. healed outside. Some nice passing by Golden State. Lets it go from deep. Oh, they’re draining the three-point field goal. Boy, zero hesitation from Butler. Takes the pass and fires immediately. Booker outside. 10 outside. Outside three. Pass to Williams. Good. And it’s Green picking up the assist. Williams has got 10. Solid job of moving the ball by Green setting up a teammate. Aki on the wing on the arc. Green with the rebound. Greens got his eighth rebound here tonight. Hooker outside. Brooks outside. Stolen. Pajki with it. He’s picked up by Brooks. And Brandon Pepski gets the whistle that time. Personal foul. That’s foul number two for him. Yeah, way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact. Suns trail by four. Now Brooks, he has five. Williams a screen on Heel. Three-pointer. Brooks. Warriors with the rebound. Pajk’s got six rebounds here tonight. Healed the pass to Green. Now Booker. Pass to Dunn. Booker dishes to Green. Front pass the arc. Drills the three-pointer. He’s got eight. Green knows that he needs to take and make threes at a good clip. Nice shot there. With it. Williams picks him up. Green up on top. Five points in the game. And he overshot that one. Missing. Well, seized up just a little bit at the last second. That’s when he normally converts. Green taking his time here. Inside, cuts off the pass and up the court come the Warriors on the break. And a quick mind by Jimmy Butler. Creates the turnover. Gets right out in transition. And so Booker will bring it up for Phoenix. Outside Green outside kicks it out to Booker. Pocket six. At the Dunk with the tie. Ian Green with the rebound. Green’s got double digit rebounds now in the game. on the wing. Green. They get the rebound. Another shot. Can’t capitalize inside. Pass to Penski trying to find Green. Oh, Booker’s got and when Booker’s connecting in deep, this offense goes to another level. Good to see him drain that. It’s rebounded by O’Neal. The Sun shooting 37% so far in the third quarter and they’re not satisfied with this lack of offensive execution. GA. When you think about Deon Booker scoring ability, he always has been ahead of the curve. The youngest player ever to score 70 in a game, amongst the youngest to get to 10,000 points. Booker is on a historic scoring pace. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. Free throw. Good Booker known as one of the purest scorers in the game. Booker’s main focus remains competing for championships. And Phoenix making a change here. Allen’s checked in. Good. Both free throws good from Booker. And what an advantage. You really feel like you can always trust him when he’s at the line. Booker against Curry. Butler making it happen. Assisted by and Butler giving you the full buffet of the things he can do to the inside. O’Neal. It’s hauled in by Jackson Davis. Throw good. Moody and Phoenix making a change here. Joseph checked in. So one for two that time at the strike. Moody offline with his three. Allen. Shot is off. Smart anchor passes, Greg, are really paying off for them at the moment. And also good offball movement. And it’s Igodaro in at the fourman position. Good job. Free throw. Good. Right side curry and it’s blocked back to Jackson Davis and it’s Curry at the elbow. Playing that much basketball in that short amount of time really takes it to count. And the Warrior lead has been cut to just seven points in the basket from Allen. Curry on the way out. Defended by Booker. Double three. Curry shot is off. I think if I was coaching these guys right now, especially him, I tell them you take one more three-point shot and we’re going to have some some conversations here side by side. Here’s Igodoro pass to Allen. shoots over Curry and Moody pulls it down. Moody’s got four rebounds now tonight. Outside Curry, a free ball. Curry making it look so easy. And really, as the three-pointers keep dropping, you get the sense that the frustration is mounting for the defense. Pass to Igodaro. Now Booker may face the screen, shoots over Curry. Just unable to do so. Yeah, we talk so much about Curry being the best shooter after he makes a three, but there’s a lot more to it. But I mean, this guy’s also the most accurate free throw shooter of all time. So, it’s pure no matter where it comes from. Dylan Brooks, he’s checked in for Phoenix. Pajki, he’s checked in for the Warriors. how much fun he seems to have on the floor. Embraces the competition but is able to laugh it off when something doesn’t go his way. A lot of things do though. Here’s Booker and off the front iron and it goes. Fantastic finish by Booker and he is really in a zone right now playing and scoring for pass to Jackson Davis. outside curl takes the three and it’s Phoenix with the rebound and the stroke definitely lacking confidence this quarter nothing and it’s blocked out about Suns ball as Phoenix keeps possession and we have to take another glance at that powerful rejection and this is how you protect and grow a lead by making a huge effort on that end of the Four. Warriors on D. They’ve led by as many as 14 points. Hajimski on the wing. Pass to Jackson Davis. played in with a nice touch off the glass. Any possession that ends in a shot from that range after a good player and ball movement, that’s a good one. They set the pick and here’s Hooker from the AR gets rebounded by Golden State. Let it go with a three. Phoenix no good that time either. It’s another just bad decision on a night full of those. His shot selection tonight has been questionable at best. Back to Jackson Davis to the paint. Here’s PMsky. Now here’s Curry. Here’s Jackson Davis. Inside out to the right wing, launches a three, misses off the left eye. Well, mid-range is where he makes the money. So when the D’s slow to get out on him, always surprising to see him miss from there. Well, after an impressive first half, he’s just not been able to get the room or get anything going here in the second. Pass to Penski. Yes. It is an illegal screen. Yeah. The fourth was over there and that’s just a a rough sloppy game. Green, he’s checked in for Golden State. Healed comes in for Moses Moody. Phoenix has gone 0 and3 so far in the fourth quarter from long range. The Suns call time. In on Jordan’s huddle, he was disappointed in the shot selection. He told them, “Stay patient. Run the offense. Make the extra pass. Good. A nice assist from Hooker. And the first one drops and just not nearly as effective at drawing fouls on the defense as he was in that first half. Dun finds Greens it out to Booker and it’s off from three-point range. Golden State’s gone a disappointing two assists on three-point attempts here in the fourth. Shot from 12. Connects. The jumper drops. Curry’s got seven points for the quarter. Just show you how impressive Curry’s shooting ability is that he can adjust for any distance near the three-point line. It’s Booker and right through it goes. Really well done there. Just confident and composed. Never in a hurry. Curry against Booker. Curry can’t get it to go and so Booker will bring it up for the Suns. Seven-point differential. Booker is the leader and you got to trust him in that spot. Curry looking around shoots it up. Nobody on here is the jumper. First free throw is good and that brings them within five. Both free throws good from Booker. Nice work there. This is a point in the game where if you get a chance to close the gap, you’ve got to make the most of it. Curry against Booker. Takes a three and it’s Phoenix with the rebound. Green kicks to Booker. Shoots the three. Pachenski grabs the board. Yeah, not a fan of that one, guys. He wants to help his team cut into this deficit. Should not be attempting those kind of shots. Hey guys, this is where their depth really comes into play. Jimmy. Two shots. So, the first one drops and that puts them up by five. And so both free throws are good. It’s a six-point ball game. Some padding here. There’s 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Got it. Booker coming through again. What a huge shot. 13. He’s checked in for your sons. Gavin Booker. One shot. One shot. Free throw. Good. Booker. And so they foul intentionally. Devin Booker second personal foul 15 foul shooting from Golden State. Pajki taking two shots. He drops the first one and that gives them a four-point cushion. done outside. Pass to Richards. Dun kicks to Green. Back to Dunn. No good. And tight defense there. Bothered that shot. So we see the Warriors get the win here. A narrow win under difficult circumstances as the visiting team. It really was. You know that road team. All I know is they were a better team. Well said. And now let’s check in with David Aldridge reporting from the sideline for our player of the game. David, take it away. Thanks very much, Jimmy. Explosive night for you offensively. You were feeling it out there. Uh feeling it and taking rhythm shots. I feel like all shots that I take are going to go in because I’m so used to taking those shots, man. But for my basketball, these teams prefer to operate in the half court. They’re very methodical but fun to watch. Hey, good basketball regardless of the pace at which it’s run is good basketball. And with these two teams, movement, screening, high IQ offensive basketball. I’m here for that. And now the Golden State Warriors starters in the back courty Curry and Pajki. Jimmy Butler is out there with Buddy Heel and it’s Green in at the five. Brooks on the double team. They kick out to Heel. Oh, good with the triple. And so Green will bring it up for the Sun. He’ll put that. He hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. And those second chance points really become almost like bonus points when you can get them. to the paint. Here’s Green. Pass to Pajki. Good. Great play by Green to set it up. And that’s exactly what he’s looking for. Draining the triple. Booker against Curry. Brooks right side. Back to Booker. Six to shoot. over Curry and it’s good off the back remat in. Yeah, such a versatile score. Devin Booker the three levels. You want to give him the midi, he’ll take it. Pass to Pajki. Heel with it. Curry on the wing. A three. Aki on the wing and stolen by Booker. And here we go. Fast break. Booker’s got it. Misses from short range. The Warriors have gone just one of four to get this game started. Rebound by the Suns. And with this score of the Suns break, you never know who is going to initiate the offense for him. And that can cause problems at times. Deon can run you into issues keeping the ball moving. Turns can be their Achilles heel as well. Devin Booker sees a window of opportunity to get to the dribble drive game and takes advantage. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan clearly. to halt the run. No good on that one. Done with some nice deep. Pulls it from 20. Tried to bank it in, but he misses. And this is a shot he can definitely make. And the defense not a factor at all. Fouled on the shot. Picks up two points. So, one free throw coming up. This to me is how Butler hurts you. The athleticism, the strength, the body control, draws the whistle. Still finishes the play and he’ll be shooting his first free throw of the game here. And when you shoot 86 from the line like he did last season, you usually cash in on those opportunities. And what I love most about Jimmy Butler is his will to win and the capacity he has to take his teammates right along with him. Now here’s Booker. Seven points in the game. Brooks left side puts it up from 12. That one’s in. First bucket of the game. He’s one for two. And first quarter, we’re about three and a half minutes in. He’s defended by Pajki. Done with a screen on heel. Brooks kicks to Booker. Five on the clock. Shoots over Curry. No good from Booker. And here’s Green. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Golden State moving the ball around. Curry looking around. Pass to Penski. There’s two-pointers off the mark. Phoenix leading by five. Now here’s Dun covered by Heel. Out of bounds. Golden State takes possession. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants a minute here to get things straightened out with his team with a short break in the action. gives us a chance now to set. Warriors trail by five. Curry with it. Williams picks him up. Curry kicks to Green. Green with a screen on Dun and Curry has it in the corner. Hangs home the trifecta. It doesn’t matter if it’s off the bounce or off the catch. Curry never loses rhythm on his jump shot. Brooks against heel. Phoenix no good that time either. Man, when you are as good a shooter as he is, you have to have the confidence to take that shot. Might not always fall. And for most guys, I think you only want to take that shot if you hit a few in a row. That is absolutely a heat check. Done with some nice deep. Boy, in that close, he’s almost automatic, but boy, that’s pretty good defense. Wow. And Brandon VMsky gets the whistle that time. First personal. That is his first foul of the game. And you can see he just didn’t get squared up with his feet. Done outside. Healed against Brooks near the three-point line. It’s Booker. Releases. It’s held in by the Suns. Green. The pass to Brooks. Now done. And here’s Booker. Takes the bucket. Now he’s got five field goals. Five for eight in the game. Boy, just tremendous focus from Devin Booker on the interior. It matters not if he’s facing size. Look out. to the middle. Here’s healed. Clock at six. Tries again. This goes to And what a show of agility by Heel getting around the contact there and right to his finish. Pass to Allen. They kick it out to Green and it’s out of bounds. Last touch by Allen. Boy, not sure what happened on that one. Just an unbelievable terrible pass to post. Richard guarded by Green. Five to shoot from the baseline. It’s rebounded by O’Neal. Suns leading by five. Pandora. When you take a look at someone like Royce O’Neal, what do you see? I mean, so many things, Kevin. There’s great intangibles with this young man. hard worker, incredibly smart defensively, versatile defensively, and he’s so often matched up against the opponent’s best scorer, and relishes it. I love that. And it’s the Warriors with the ball after Jaylen Green’s three-pointer that didn’t go. You can’t give Jimmy Butler that kind of space. He will get above the rim and let you hear about it. Now, here’s Green down low. That one’s in. his first shot this game. I mean the unselfishness, everyone here just playing for one another and that can be infectious. I think the other thing they’ve done a great job of is making their presence felt inside, converting tons of paint opportunities. Booker, he’s checked in for Jaylen Green. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry’s checked in. That one falls. So he hits both of them. Phoenix leading by three. Now here’s Booker. He’s got 11. 131 left here in the first quarter. Six on the shot clock. Now pass it to Richards. He finishes nicely on the way through. Richards got his second bucket. And they’ve done well at taking advantage of some late defensive rotations and getting the ball in the paint. Misses the lane. Phoenix has gone two of five from three-point land here in the first quarter. and one outside. Look easy. Near the three-point line. It’s Booker offline from the top of the key. Curry against Booker. For Booker. The shot by Curry. We’ve got Trace Jackson Davis. Moses Moody is out there with Stephen Curry. And it’s post in at the pivot spot. Manning the middle. Booker no good. Warriors shooting alone with 30% right now on ugly offensive performance. Jackson Davis with it working on Allen. Here’s Moody and no good. Had a chance to take the lead there. And so Allen will bring it up now for the Phoenix Suns. Here’s Richard. Here coming right side pass to Igodaro. Shot clock at five. O’Neal from long range and Santos pulls it down. Golden State’s gone 0 or two from deep. Time now to turn to our sideline reporter David Aldrich. David Kevin, a couple of seasons ago, Steph Curry first brought out the night night when he put a team away. Asked about his inspiration, he said, “I have no idea. I don’t choreograph any of that stuff. I was just having fun.” You know how kids bedtime routines are important. It’s the final signal for job well done that day. Kevin, well said. He is a one of one da. Now here is O’Neal. Devin Booker missing his last shot or the three. But what I admire is through all of that losing, he never stopped working. The Suns trailing and the Suns call their first time out of the game. You know, I think one thing coach will address in this timeout right now is you’re missing a lot of shots. Why not become more of a facilitator out there? Quarter number two around 3 minutes gone by. O’Neal outside pass to Richards. Here’s Booker guarded by Curry. Shot by Pajenski. No good. The Suns leading. Here’s Allen. Venski grabs the board. Curry with it. He’s picked up by O’Neal. Green three. Good. And Curry gets the assist. There’s a dogged intensity with which Draymond Green plays the game of basketball. He will get to the space he wants and score it. Now here’s Booker. He’s got 15. And again, it’s the Suns missing pass to Curry. One more. Here’s Post. Now here’s Moody. I got yours. I got yours. Now Curry. Nine points in the game so far. No good on the triple. And even without that three ball dropper, the pitch should have done more on that last play. Here’s Pajki. Rebound by Williams. Williams has got doubledigit rebounds now in the game. Brooks left side. Allen surveying the Dan. Here’s Williams. A basket good off the from Allen. And the Suns lead by one. Guys, what a wild first half this has been. Wow. Back and forth start, that’s for sure. To Curry. Now Pajimki. Here’s Post outside. Curry. Count that one. Curry. Well, make no mistake, Draymond Green will bully you on the interior if you allow it. You’ve got to make sure he doesn’t force the issue at the line for a breakdown here. After the ball, looking to jump into the passing lanes and create some steals in transition. I think the other thing they’re doing is they’re wearing out the opponent in transition, exploding up the floor for easy chances. Sun chained in for Booker. Jimmy Butler, he’s jumped in for the Warriors. Buddy Heel comes in for Curry. I don’t think you can help but admire what Draymond Green brings to the floor on a night by basis. This guy plays with a giant chip and he wants his teammates to come with him. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead. He’s cut to just one on the basket from Williams. Good. And it’s Green picking up the assist. Assist. Green’s got three assists now in this one. I think you pay the consequences if you leave Draymond Green’s teammates open. He has a knack for getting the basketball where it needs to be. Now here’s Dunn. Still scoreless. Brooks with no one around. And the three off target. Warriors leading by three. And here is Moody and foul on the shot. So he’ll get a chance at the line. First personal foul. Second team foul. First trip to the free throw line for him in this one. The Warriors Moses Moody. Two shots. Two shots. And he makes the first. So after making the first, he goes one for two. Suns trail by four. Now here’s Dunn. Nobody near Allen. The offensive rebound and done with the slam. Good to see a player going all out when the game’s this tight. You know, G, he knows what his job is. Control the offensive glass. And that’s so demoralizing to your opponent to play great defense and have the possession. Moody with it. Working on Allen. Healed outside. Pass to Pajimski off target with his three. Green’s got rebound number eight here tonight in the game. Pass to Moody and he can’t stop this drought. Another miss. El Phoenix shooting Sunday. 37% from the field. Brooks feeling it out a bit. Here’s Green and he can’t bank that one in. The Warriors leader. 34 seconds left in the first half of the game. And the call on the shot. It saves it to the line. It’s not his day and he needs to either look to drive or get it to an open teammate. shoots. It’s been all about Steph Curry for the Golden State Warriors. He ends up a profit in two for distance. Making a difference from long range in this one. And now we’ll send it over to David Aldridge who is standing by courtside. David, thanks very much Steve. Some great engagement defense. Warriors leading by three. You’ve got Williams, Dylan Brook out there with Dun. Then there’s Devin Brook and it’s Green in at the shooting guard position. Who’s out there for Phoenix? He against Brooks. He can’t hit. Now Phoenix shooting around 36%. They’re just not able to finish consistently. Warriors shooting around 29% from the floor. Tough time for them all around on the offensive end. Here’s Curry. Curry crashes inside. Stronger than he looks. Curry able to take the hit there and finish. Here’s Brooks. Williams gets to done. Connects from three-point range. Guns got five points so far. Maybe he’s not one of the elite sharpshooters, but even still, that’s not a shot that he can afford to get. Done with some nice deep. Suns are gone. One of three since starting the second half over in the corner. Green. First minute and a half of basketball here in the third quarter. They get it back. Hard earned by Butler. And this kind of shot defines who Butler is. Just a bulldog who embraces finishing against the tight coverage. D looking over the floor. Hooker with no one around. And that one comes up a bit short. And here’s Heel. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Since the second half started, they’ve only given up three points. At all times, he’s on the court. He is active and physical. He loves being in the middle of the action. These are his third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. shooting two. And the first one drops. That one is no good. Suns trail by five. Pass the gun. Outside Green. Here’s the chip drop. That’s good from Booker. Found the assist by Green. This guy has so many shots up his sleeve. Devin Booker loves to go with that floater when it’s presented to him. Back to Heel. Great pass to set up the layout. Assisted. Heels got the lead. Back up to five now for the Warriors. Phoenix calls timeout. Curry with a strong contribution so far in this one. And he is absolutely dialed in from outside. They need to close out on him much quicker. And it’s the Suns with the ball. It’s a five-point game. Outside Green. Pass to Williams. Just four to shoot. Over healed. for the Suns tack on two more Warriors leading by three. Healed outside. Some nice passing by Golden State. Lets it go from deep. Oh, Butler training the three-point field goal. Boy, zero hesitation from Butler. He takes the pass and fires immediately. Booker outside. Done. Outside three. Pass to Williams. Good as Green picking up the assist. Williams has got 10. Solid job of moving the ball by Green. Setting up a teammate. AJMsky on the wing. on the arc. Green with the rebound. Green’s got his eighth rebound here tonight. Booker outside. Brooks outside. Stolen. Pajki with it. It’s picked up by Brooks. And Brandon Pachki gets the whistle that time. Personal foul. That’s foul number two for him. Yeah. Way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact. Suns trail by four. Now Brooks, he has five. Williams a screen on Heel. Three-pointer. Brooks. Warriors with the rebound. Pajk’s got six rebounds here tonight. Healed the pass to Green. Now Booker pass to Dun. Booker dishes to Green. Front pass the arc. Drills the three-pointer. He’s got eight. Green knows that he needs to take and make threes at a good clip. Nice shot there. With it. Williams picks him up. Green up on top. Five points in the game and he overshot that one. Missing well seized up just a little bit at the last second. That’s when he normally converts. Green taking his time here. Inside cuts off the pass and up the court come the Warriors on the break. And a quick mind by Jimmy Butler. Creates the turnover. gets right out in transition and so Booker will bring it up for Phoenix outside Green. Done outside. Kicks it out to Booker. Pocket six. Back to Dun for the tie. Raymond Green with the rebound. Green’s got doubledigit rebounds now in the game. On the wing, Green. Jimmy Butler is out there with Draymond Green. And it’s Moody in at the small forward position. And it’s in there. And so Green will bring it up for the Warriors. They’ve led by as many as 14 points. Pass to Pimski trying to find Green. He’s got it now. Just five on the clock. Puts up a deep three. Phoenix grabs the miss. Richard’s got rebound number eight here tonight in the game. It’s deflected. One-on-one fast break to PMski. Brooks with a screen on K. And here’s Booker from the arc. Connects from three-point range. Oh, Booker’s got it on. And when Booker’s connecting indeed, this offense goes to another level. Good to see him drain that. It’s rebounded by O’Neal. The Suns shooting 37% so far in the third quarter and they are not satisfied with this lack of offensive execution. And let’s head over to the sideline and catch up with David Od. A three-pointer is right on target. Curry’s got seven points for the quarter. Two shots. Free throw. Booker known as one of the purest scorers in the game. Booker’s main focus remains competing for championships. And Phoenix making a change here. Allen’s checked in. Big Both free throws good from Booker. And what an advantage. You really feel like you can always trust him when he’s at the line. Booker against Curtain. Butler making it happen. Assisted by and Butler giving you the full buffet of the things he can do to the inside. O’Neal. It’s hauled in by Jackson Davis. Jackson Davis has got his fourth rebound in this one. Here’s Moody shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. Yeah, easy foul. What do you guys think so far about the offensive approach for the Warriors, the three-pointers and how well they’re able to shoot them. You wonder if they can keep it up and boy have they and I feel like there’s been an old school aspect to what they’ve done tonight and that is pounding the ball inside, getting it down low, getting those looks in close. That’s been effective. Throw good. Moody and Phoenix making a change here. Joseph checked in. So one for two that time at the strike. Suns trail by six. Here’s Green for 19 points in the game. Shows us the pass to O’Neal. There’s the pick. Allen drives in a kick out to O’Neal and too much time in the lane. They get called to the 3sec violation. Warriors leading by six. 106 left in the third quarter. Here’s Curry with the three. Booty offline with his three. And so it’s Joseph with it. He’ll bring it up for the Phoenix Suns. O’Neal. No good. Allen. Shot is off. Smart anchor passes, Greg, are really paying off for them at the moment. And also good off ball movement. Everyone is paying attention and looking to create the best shot for the team. Down low, Richards passes to Green. Fires away from way outside. Jimmy Ber has been on display for the Golden State Warriors. and his big game just keeps getting bigger. That quarter sees him get over 30 points. And we’ll be back with you shortly. We’ve got out. He’s out there with Devin Booker. O’Neal is out there with Nick Richard. And it’s Igodaro in at the fourman position. That’s who’s out there for Phoenix. Free throw. Good. Right side Kirk and it’s blocked. Back to Jackson Davis and it’s Curry at the elbow. Moody with it and there’s the whistle. 3sec violation violated. And a moment now to check out who the Warriors have coming up on their schedule. On Tuesday, they’ll be taking on Yonis Valenunis and the Denver Nuggets. Then on Thursday, they’ll be taking on Clint Capella and the Houston Rockets. And for that game against the Timberwolves, it’s the second game of a backto back and you know they’re going to be feeling the effects of it. Playing that much basketball in that short amount of time really takes count and the Warrior lead has been cut to just seven points in the basket from Allen. Curry on the wing defended by Booker three. Curry shot is off. I think if I was coaching these guys right now, especially him, I’d tell them you take one more three-point shot and we’re going to have some some conversations here side by side. Here’s Igodaro. Pass to Allen. Shoots over Curry and Moody pulls it down. Moody’s got four rebounds now tonight. Outside Curry the free ball. Curry making it look so easy. And really as the three-pointers keep dropping, you get the sense that the frustration is mounting for the defense. Pass to Igodaro. Now Booker may face the screen. Shoots over Curry. That’s good. And the Warriors go down to just eight points with the bucket from Devin Booker. Of the confidence of Devin Booker when he gets a screen, he knows what he wants to do. Curry with it. Lots of room. Curry with another miss. He loved to make him pay for giving up that wide open jumper. Just unable to do so. No good from Booker. Maybe there are ways to contribute that don’t involve shooting the basketball. That’s the best way. But maybe he can help them out trying to win this game. So many years in the NBA, you would think Curry would slow down, wouldn’t you, Mark? But he remains at the very top of his game. I think the best part about what we’re seeing with Steph right now, Kevin, is his competitive will. You get to this age and you get to this stage after accomplishing all the things that Steph has done and it’s still not enough. So, let’s keep enjoying him while we can. And he knocks down the first one. Yeah, we talk so much about Curry being the best shooter after he makes a three, but there’s a lot more to it. I mean, this guy’s also the most accurate free throw shooter of all time. So, it’s pure no matter where it comes from. Dylan Brooks, he’s checked in for Phoenix. Pajki, he’s checked in for the Warriors. Stephen Curry hits them both. Yeah, so easy to root for Stephen Curry because of how much fun he seems to have on the floor. embraces the competition but is able to laugh it off when something doesn’t go his way. A lot of things do though. Here’s Booker and off the front and in it goes. Booker’s got 11 in the second half. Warriors leading by eight. Now here’s Curry to the middle trying to find Jackson Davis and gets it to him out of bounds. So, we’ll go to the Suns. Man, if you’re going to grab it, grab that thing. He just lazily reaches out for that. And the result is it’s deflected right off of his hand. Always good to get another look at a terrific defensive play. Yeah, quick thinking pays off big. What a block for Phoenix. They’ve gone three of six from the field so far in the fourth quarter. Here’s Booker. Fantastic finish by Booker and he is really in a zone right now playing and scoring with confidence. Pass to Jackson Davis outside Cur takes the three and it’s Phoenix with the rebound and the stroke definitely lacking confidence this quarter. nothing and it’s blocked out of bounds. Suns ballers Phoenix keeps possession and we have to take another glance at that powerful rejection. And this is how you protect and grow a league by making a huge effort on that end of the floor. Warriors on D. They’ve led by as many as 14 points. Hajjki on the wing. Pass to Jackson Davis. Played in with a nice touch off the glass. Any possession that ends in a shot from that range after a good player and ball movement, that’s a good one. They set the pick and here’s Hooker from the AL. Gets rebounded by Golden State. Jackson Davis has got nine rebounds now tonight. The shooting numbers just aren’t there yet in the quarter. On the season and currently defended by Richards. Pass to Jackson Davis. Down to five on the shot clock. On its way from Curry for two. Rebound by the Suns. Brooks has got his fourth rebound in this one. How Allen. Some nice ball movement here by the Suns. And Booker kicks to Brooks. Back to Booker. Let it go with the three. Phoenix no good that time either. It’s another just bad decision on a night full of those. The shot selection tonight has been questionable at best. Back to Jackson Davis. To the paint. Here is Pachki. Plays it up and brings it in. And the Warriors lead by 10. And Matador defense. That’s one of the easiest shots he is ever going to see. Yeah, feels like Christmas right now. Just gift wrapping points. out to the wing. Brooks outside. Pass to Igodaro. Allen inside the three-point line. And again, it’s the Suns missing. Warriors leading by 10. And now here’s Curry. Here’s Jackson Davis inside. out to the right wing, launches a three, misses off the left eye. Well, mid-range is where he makes the money. So, when the D’s slow to get out on, always surprising to see him miss from there. Well, after an impressive first half, he’s just not been able to get the room or get anything going here in the second. Pass to Penski. Yes. It is an illegal screen. Yeah. The fourth turn over there. That’s just a a rough sloppy game. Green. He’s checked in for Golden State. Healed comes in for Moses Moody. Phoenix has gone 03 so far in the fourth quarter from long range. The Suns call time. In on Jordan’s huddle. He was disappointed in the shot selection. He told them, “Stay patient. Run the offense. Make the extra pass. This just in with a great up fake to keep the defense off balance. That’s the line for two. And the first one drops. And just not nearly as effective at drawing fouls on the defense as he was in that first half. That one falls. So he hits both of them. Golden State’s gone a disappointing two six on three-point attempts here in the fourth. Shot from 12 connects. The jumper drops. Curry’s got seven points for the quarter. Just shows you how impressive Curry’s shooting ability is that he can adjust for any distance near the three-point line. It’s Booker and right through it goes. Really well done there. Just confident and composed. Never in a hurry. Curry against Booker. Curry can’t get it to go. And so Booker will bring it up for the Suns. Seven-point differential. So Booker is the leader and you got to trust him in that spot. Curry looking around, shoots it up with nobody on it. Here comes the jumper. Curry’s got 29. Sun shooting in the fourth quarter has looked sh 38%. And the call on the shot. It sends it to the line. Personal foul. Really just forcing the defense’s hand close to the rim. Booker so skilled at finding ways to get himself to the charity strike. Taking two shots. Shooting two. Penski grabs the board. Yeah, not a fan of that one, guys. If he wants to help his team cut into this deficit, he should not be attempting those kind of shots. And guys, this is where their depth really comes into play. They’ve got such talent at that position. They’d love to have him out there, but they won’t suffer much of a drop off. And a deep three from Curry. Green with the rebound. And it’s the Suns with the ball, trailing by four. Here’s Dunn. That shot misses and they go to the intentional foul. Done. Second personal foul. 14 foul at the line for the Warriors. Jimmy two shots. So, the first one drops and that puts them up by five. And so, both free throws are good. It’s a six-point ball game. Some padding here. There’s 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Got it. Stephan Booker coming through again. A huge shot. 13. Moses Moody. He’s checked in for your sons. Gavin Booker. One shot. One shot on the miss. Free throw. Good. Booker. So they foul intentionally. Deon Booker. Second personal foul. Fifth team foul. shooting from Golden State. Pajki taking two shots. He drops the first one and that gives them a four-point cushion. done outside pass to Richards Dunn kicks to Green. Back to Dunn. No good and tight defense. They’re bothered that shot. So we see the Warriors get the win here. A narrow win under difficult circumstances as the visiting team. It really was that road team. All I know is they were a better team. Well said. And now, let’s check in with David Aldridge reporting from the sideline for our player of the game. David, take it away. Thanks very much, Jimmy. Explosive night for you offensively. You were feeling it out there. Uh, feeling it and taking rhythm shots. I feel like all shots that I take are going to go in because I’m so used to taking those shots, man. But for my basketball, these teams prefer to operate in the half court. They’re very methodical, but fun to watch. Hey, good basketball, regardless of the pace at which it’s run, is good basketball. And with these two teams, movement, screening, high IQ offensive basketball. I’m here for that. And now the Golden State Warriors starters in the back court. Rosie Curry and Pajki. Jimmy Butler is out there with Buddy Heel. And it’s Green in at the five. Rooks on the double team. They kick out to Heel. Oh, good with the triple. And so Green will bring it up for the Sun. He’ll put back. He hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. And those second chance points really become almost like bonus points when you can get him to the paint. Here’s Green. Pass to Pensky. Good. Great play by Green to set it up. And that’s exactly what he’s looking for. Draining the triple. Booker against Curry. Brooks right side. Back to Booker. Six to shoot over Curt. And it’s good off the back rim and in. Yeah, such a versatile score. Devin Booker the three levels. You want to give him the biddy? He’ll take it. Pass to Pajki. Heel with it. Curry on the wing. McCree. That one misses. Good D by Booker. Suns have gone two of five here. Making 40% so far to start out the game. AMKI on the wing and stolen by Booker. And here we go. Fast break. Booker’s got it. Misses from short range. The Warriors have gone just one of four to get this game started. Rebound by the Suns. And with this score of the Suns in a Greg, you never know who is going to initiate the offense for him. And that can cause problems at times. Devin can run you into issues keeping the ball moving. The turnovers can be their Achilles heel as well. Devin Booker sees a window of opportunity to get to the dribble drive game and takes advantage. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan clearly. to halt the run. No good on that one. Done with some nice deep pulls it from 20. Shoot. And what I love most about Jimmy Butler is his will to win and the capacity he has to take his teammates right along with him. Now here’s Booker. Seven points in the game. Brooks left side, puts it up from 12. That one’s in. First bucket of the game. He’s one for two. And first quarter, we’re about three and a half minutes in. Healed outside. Back to Curry beyond the arc. It’s hauled in by the Suns. Williams has got four rebounds in this game. Brooks against heel. Brooks misses. Warriors trail by five. And here is Green. Still yet to score. And again, it’s the Warriors missing. Now here’s Dunn. He’s defended by Pajki. Dunn with a screen on heel. Brooks kicks to Booker. Five on the clock. Shoots over Curry. No good from Booker. And here’s Green. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Curry looking around pass to Penski. His two three-pointers off the mark. Phoenix leading by five. Now here’s D covered by Heel. Out of bounds. Golden State takes possession. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants a minute here to get things straightened out with his team with a short break in the action. Might not always fall. And for most guys, I think you only want to take that shot if you hit a few in a row. That is absolutely a heat check. Done with some nice deep boy in that close. He’s almost automatic. Boy, that’s pretty good defense. Wow. And Brandon FPSki hits the whistle that time. Here’s PMski. It’s hauled in by the Suns. Green’s got rebound number five here tonight inside. Deflects the pass. Pass to Green. Curry on the wing. Releases. It’s held in by the Suns. Green. The pass to Brooks. Now done. And here’s Booker. Takes the bucket. Now he’s got five field goals. Five for eight in the game. Boy, just tremendous focus from Devin Booker on the interior. It matters not if he’s facing size. Look out to the middle. Here’s Heel. Clock at six. Tries again. Shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. Foul. There’s a relentless effort from Jimmy Butler every night. And he’s going to push through the foul and get his shot opportunity. And the first one at the line is good. O’Neal’s check in for Phoenix. Grayson Allen comes in for Devin Booker. And the Warriors also making a change. Moses Moody, he’s checked in for Stephen Curry. and he makes both free throws. Well, this guy has multiple ways to get to the free throw line and boy has his stroke been on the money. And here’s O’Neal. He’ll bring it up for the Suns. They lead by four. Pass to Green. Shoots the three. Good. And the assist goes to O’Neal. Beginning to take charge of this game. This could be a crucial point. Well, working hard building out a small lead, but you can’t afford any kind of let down here. Now, here’s Moody to the inside. Heel. A good finish at the rack off the slick feet. I mean the unselfishness, everyone here just playing for one another and that can be infectious. I think the other thing they’ve done a great job of is making their presence felt inside, converting tons of paint opportunities. Booker, he’s checked in for Jaylen Green. And the Warriors also making a change. Curry’s checked in. That one falls. So he hits both of them. Phoenix leading by three. Now here’s Brooker. He’s got 11. 131 left here in the first quarter. Six on the shot clock. Allen pass it to Richards and he finishes nicely on the way through. Richards got his second bucket and they’ve done well at taking advantage of some late defensive rotations and getting the ball in the paint. Misses the lane. Phoenix has gone two of five from three-point land here in the first quarter. and one outside. Booker right side. The Suns need to get a shot off. Allen shot is off. Warriors trail by five. 30 seconds left to play in the first quarter. pass to Curry. Launches from deep, sinks it. What range from outside. Wow. Curry’s got six. I mean, the range is just unreal. Curry can make even the toughest shots. Hook easy near the three-point line. It’s Booker offline from the top of the key. Curry against Booker. You got trace Jackson Davis. Moses Moody is out there with Stephen Curry and it’s post in at the pivot spot. Manning the middle. Booker no good. Warrior shooting alone 30% right now on a offensive performance. Jackson Davis with it working on Allen. Here’s Moody and no good. Had a chance to take the lead there. And so Allen will bring it up now for the Phoenix Suns. Here’s Richard. Hooker right side. Pass to Igodaro. Shot clock at five. O’Neal from long range and Santos pulls it down. Golden State’s gone 0 or two from deep in the time and now to turn to our sideline reporter David Aldrich. But what I admire most through all of that losing, he never stopped working. The Suns trailing and the Suns call their first time out of the game. You know, I think one thing coach will address in this timeout right now is you’re missing a lot of shots. Why not become more of a facilitator out there? Quarter number two around 3 minutes gone by. O’Neal outside pass to Richards. Pajenski grabs the board. Curry with it. He’s picked up by O’Neal Green. Good. And Curry gets the assist. There’s a dog of intensity with which Draymond Green plays the game of basketball. He will get to the space he wants and score it. Now here’s Booker. He’s got 15. And again, it’s the Suns missing. Pass to Curry. Here’s Post. Now here’s Moody. I got yours. I got yours. Now Curry. Nine points in the game so far. No good on the triple. And even without that three ball dropper, this pitch should have done more on that last play. The three Stephen Curry, what a shooter. And guys, getting into a nice groove here. Starting to feel it. And this is partly what the game has become, right? A matter of dueling three-point opportunities. Here’s Poachki. Rebound by Williams. Williams has got doubledigit rebounds now in the game. Brooks left side. Allen surveying the Dan. There’s Williams. A basket good off the hitch from Allen. And the Suns lead by one. Guys, what a wild first half this has been. Wow. Back and forth start, that’s for sure. To Curry. now. Pajimki. Here’s Post outside. Curry. Count that one. Curry’s got the lead up to one now for the Warriors. Boy, Curry just taking over and seemingly able to get anything he wants right now. O’Neal outside. Williams has a screen for O’Neal. Back to Williams. And he misses the fast break layup. Oh, that’s a golden opportunity to finish on the break. And he blows it. It was right there for him. He’d love to have that one back. That was embarrassing. Now here’s Moody. Devin Booker missing his last shot. Here’s Green and contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. First personal foul. Well, make no mistake. Trayon Green will bully you on the interior if you allow it. You’ve got to make sure he doesn’t force the issue at the line for a break down here. After the ball, looking to jump into the passing lanes and create some steals in transition. I think the other thing they’re doing is they’re wearing out the opponent in transition, exploding up the floor for easy chances. Sun chained in for Booker. The Warrior lead. He’s cut to just one on the basket from Williams. The Warriors. Moses Moody. Two shots. And he makes the first So after making the first, he goes one for two. Suns trail by four. Now here’s Dunn. Nobody near Allen. The offensive rebound and Dunn with the slam. Good to see a player going all out in the games this tight. You know, G, he knows what his job is. Control the offensive glass. And that’s so demoralizing to your opponent to play great defense and have the possession. Moody with it. Working on Allen. Healed outside. Pass to Pajimski off target with his three. The Suns trail. Ellen one outside. That doesn’t go in. Had a chance though to take the lead in the corner. Moody with it. Pass to Green. Nice D from Brooks. Enzo Brooks will bring it up for the Phoenix Suns. Green with the ball. Defended by Moody. Green passes to Allen. Launches it. It’s rebounded by Golden State. Green’s got rebound number eight here tonight from the game. Pass to Moody. And he can’t stop this drought. Another miss. El Phoenix shooting seven. 37% from the field. Brooks feeling it out a bit. Here’s Green and he can’t bank that one in. The Warriors lead it. 34 seconds left in the first half of the game and the call on the shot that sends it to the line. The Warriors have shot the ball well from the free throw line. Eight of nine and just to mention a season ago they were very comfortable at the line hitting about 78% of their free throws. That free throw no good. And the Suns making a change here. Gillespie’s checked in. Grace Jackson Davis has checked in for the Warriors. And he’s good on the second. 30 seconds left in the first half. They’ve been struggling here on offense. Yeah, a bit of a dry spell for sure. Brooks from outside. It’s rebounded by Golden State. No idea why he’s attempting so many outside shots. It’s not his day and he needs to either look to drive or get it to an open teammate. Shoots. It’s been all about Steph Curry for the Golden State Warriors. Tough night time for them all around on the offensive end. Here’s Curry. Curry crashes inside. Stronger than he looks. Curry able to take the hit there and finish. Here’s Brooks. Williams gets to Dun. Connects from three-point range. Dun’s got five points so far. Maybe he’s not one of the elite sharpshooters, but even still, that’s not a shot that he can afford to give. done with some nice deep. Suns have gone one of three since starting the second half. Over in the corner, Green first minute and a half of basketball here in the third quarter. They get it back. Hard earned by Butler. And this kind of shot defines who Butler is. Just a bulldog who embraces finishing against the tight coverage. Don looking over the floor. Hooker with no one around. And that one comes up a bit short. And here’s Heel. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Since the second half started, they’ve only given up three points. At all times he’s on the quarter. He is active and physical. He loves being in the middle of the action. These are his third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. Shooting two. That one is no good. Suns trail by five. Pass the gun outside. Green. Here’s the chip drop. They need to close out on him much quicker when it’s the Suns with the ball. It’s a five-point game. Outside Green pass to Williams. Just four to shoot. Over healed. So the Suns take on two more. Warriors leading by three. Healed outside. Some nice passing by Golden State. lets it go from deep. Oh, they’re training the three-point field goal. Boy, zero hesitation from Butler. He takes the pass and fires immediately. Booker outside. Green pass to Williams. Good as Green picking up the assist. Williams has got 10. Solid job of moving the ball by Green setting up a teammate. Ajeky on the wing on the arc. Green with the rebound. Green’s got his eighth rebound here tonight. Booker outside. Brooks outside. Stolen. with it. He’s picked up by Brooks and Brandon Pachki gets the whistle that time. Personal foul. That’s foul number two for him. Yeah, way to get there first and be willing to absorb the contact. Suns trail by four now. Brooks, he has five. Williams a screen on heel. Three-pointer. Brooks Warriors with the rebound. Pajk’s got six rebounds here tonight. Healed the pass to Green now. Booker. Pass to Dunn. Booker nishes to Green. Front pass the arc. Drills the three-pointer. He’s got eight. Green knows that he needs to take and make threes at a good clip. Nice shot there. With it. Williams picks him up. Green up on top. Five points in the game and he overshot that one. Missing well. Seized up just a little bit at the last second. That’s one he normally converts. Green taking his time here inside. cuts off the pass and up the court come the Warriors on the break. And a quick mind by Jimmy Butler. Creates a turnover. Gets right out in transition and so Booker will bring it up for Phoenix outside. Green done outside. Kicks it out to Booker. I like it. Six. I’ll take the ball. At the gun with the tie. Pass to Green. and Golden State looking at who they’ve got in the back court. We’ll see Curry and Poachki. Jimmy Butler is out there with Draymond Green and it’s Moody in at the small forward position. And it’s in there. Dylan Green will bring it up for the Warriors. They’ve led by as many as 14 points. Pass to PJski trying to find Green. He’s got it now. Just five on the clock. Puts up a deep three. Phoenix grabs the miss. Richard’s got rebound number eight here tonight in the game. It’s deflected. One-on-one fast break. Back to Pajki. Brooks with a screen on Kirk and here’s Booker from the arc. Connects from three-point range. Booker’s got and when Booker’s connecting from deep, this offense goes to another level. He said it feels good knowing that my teammates believe in me to do that. Had to learn a lot of things to grow, but that’s what I work for. I want to be one of those guys that you give the ball to in crunch time. Kevin, I always want to give the mic to you in crunch time. Back to you. You are an unselfish playmaker. Appreciate that. By the way, green can be electric and so fun to watch. Hey DA, thanks pass to Moody. No one near Curry as he lets it go. The three-pointer is right on target. Curry’s got seven points for the quarterback. He has created some terrific opportunities for himself and really made the most of them. Booker against Cur and foul on the shot. Got to get it. Rebound. Big rebound. Let’s get it. Get it. Get it. Both free throws good from Booker. And what an advantage. You really feel like you can always trust him when he’s at the line. Booker against Curtain. Butler making it happen inside. Assisted by and Butler giving you the full buffet of the things he can do to the inside. O’Neal. It’s hauled in by Jackson Davis. Jackson Davis has got his fourth rebound in this one. Here’s Moody shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. Yeah, easy foul. What do you guys think so far about the offensive approach for the Warriors, the three-pointers, and how well they’re able to shoot them. You wonder if they can keep it up and boy have it. And I feel like there’s been an old school aspect to what they’ve done tonight. And that is pounding the ball inside, getting it down low, getting those looks in close. That’s been effective. Throw good. Moody and Phoenix making a change here. Joseph checked in. So, one for two that time at the strike. Suns trail by six. Here’s Green for 19 points in the game. Shows us the pass to O’Neal. There’s the pick. Allen drives in a kick out to O’Neal. And too much time in the lane. They get called for the 3sec violation. Warriors leading by six. 106 left in the third quarter. Here’s Curry with the three. Booty offline with his three and so is Joseph with it. Smart anchor passes, Greg, are really paying off for them at the moment. And also good off ball movement. Everyone is paying attention and looking to create the best shot for the team. Down low. Richards passes to Green. Fires away from way outside. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Golden State Warriors and his big game just keeps getting bigger. That quarter sees him get over 30 points. And we’ll be back with you shortly. Now, let’s take a look at our assist of the game presented by State Farm. Just true artistry right there. I mean, great decision on where to go with the ball and how about the perfect delivery. Yeah, those are the kind of plays that you want to put on a canvas. Just beautiful basketball. Fourth quarter of action is upon us. Thanks as always for joining us. Suns trail by eight. We got out. He’s out there with Devin Booker. O’Neal is out there with Nick Richards. And it’s Igodaro in at the fourman position. Box is out there for Phoenix. Now here’s Moody. He’s covered closely. They set the pick pass to post. No one near Curry as he lets it go. Burries the long range jumper. Right side. Curry and it’s blocked. Back to Jackson Davis. And it’s Curry at the elbow. Moody with it. And there’s the whistle. 3sec violation. Second violin. And a moment now to check out who the Warriors have coming up on their schedule. On Tuesday, they’ll be taking on Yonis Valenunis and the Denver Nuggets. Then on Thursday, they’ll be taking on Clint Capella and the Houston Rockets. And for that game against the Timberwolves, it’s the second game of a backto back. And you know, they’re going to be feeling the effects of it. Playing that much basketball in that short amount of time really takes count and the Warrior lead has been cut to just seven points in the basket from Allen. Curry on the way defended by Booker three. Now Booker may face the screen shoots over Curry. That’s the best way that maybe he can help them out trying to win this game. Here’s Booker and off the front iris and in it goes. Booker’s got 11 in the second half. Warriors leading by eight. Now here’s Curry to the middle trying to find Jackson Davis and gets it to him. Out of bounds. will go to the Suns. Man, if you’re going to grab it, grab that thing. He just lazily reaches out for that. And the result is it’s deflected right off of his hand. Always good to get another look at a terrific defensive play. Quick thinking pays off big. What a block for Phoenix. They’ve gone three of six from the field so far in the fourth quarter. Here’s Booker. Fantastic finish by Booker. And he is really in a zone right now playing and scoring with confidence. Pass to Jackson Davis. Outside Curl takes the three and it’s Phoenix with the rebound and the stroke definitely lacking confidence this quarter. nothing and it’s blocked out of bounds. Suns ballers Phoenix keeps possession and we have to take another glance at that powerful rejection. And this is how you protect and grow a lead by making a huge effort on that end of the floor. Warriors on D. They’ve led by as many as 14 points. Hajjki on the wing. Pass to Jackson Davis. Played in with a nice touch off the glass. Any possession that ends in a shot from that range after a good player and ball movement, that’s a good one. They set the pick and here’s Hooker from the AR gets rebounded by Golden State. Jackson Davis has got nine rebounds now tonight. The shooting numbers just aren’t there yet in the quarter. Here’s Post defended by Richards. Pass to Jackson Davis. Down to five on the shot clock. On its way from Curry for two. Rebound by the Suns. Brooks has got his fourth rebound in this one. Now Allen. Some nice ball movement here by the Suns. And Booker gets to Brooks. Back to Booker. Let it go with the three. Phoenix no good that time either. That’s another just bad decision on a night full of those. His shot selection tonight has been questionable at best. Back to Jackson Davis. To the paint. Here is Pachki. Plays it up and puts it in. And the Warriors lead by 10. And Matador defense. That’s one of the easiest shots he is ever going to see. Yeah, feels like Christmas right now. his gift drapping points. Out to the wing. Brooks outside. Pass to Igodaro. Allen inside the three-point line. And again, it’s the Suns missing. Warriors leading by 10. And now here’s Curry. Here’s Jackson Davis. inside out to the right wing, launches a three, misses off the left eye. Well, mid-range is where he makes the money. So, when the D’s slow to get out on him, always surprising to see him miss from there. Well, after an impressive first half, he’s just not been able to get the room or get anything going here in the second. Pass to Pajenski. There’s the pick. Three-pointer and it’s Phoenix with the rebound. One made three form for the game. Does he focus closer in? Let’s see. Curry against Booker. Shoots over Curry. That one’s in there. Warrior lead is cut down now to just eight on the basket from Booker. It feels like the other four guys have disappeared at this point. He wants to be the one to get them back. And the call is going to Yes. Yes, it is an illegal screen. Yeah, the fourth turn over there. That’s just a a rough sloppy game. Green, he’s checked in for Golden State. Healed comes in for Moses Moody. Phoenix has gone 0 and3 so far in the fourth quarter from long range. The Suns call time. In on Jordan’s huddle, he was disappointed in the shot selection. He told them stay patient, run the offense, make the extra pass. We don’t have to make up the deficit all at once. We’ll see if they start shooting a little better. Warriors leading by five. outside curve. Done with some nice deep. The game has been very close in a lot of areas, but rebounding has been the one differentiator thus far. Booker looking around. Trayon Green pulls it in. Green’s got his eighth rebound here tonight. It’s tipped. Curry is inside. He’s against Green. Shoots a finger. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. William pass on Mark Williams. Pump fake can still be used. This just in. But with a great up fake to keep the defense off balance for two. Golden State’s gone a disappointing two on three-point attempts here in the fourth. Shot from 12. Connects. The jumper drops. Curry’s got seven points for just show you how impressive Curry’s shooting ability is that he can adjust for any distance. Near the three-point line, it’s Booker. And right through it goes. Really well done there. Just confident and composed. Never in a hurry. Curry against Booker. Curry can’t get it to go and so Booker will bring it up for the silence. Seven-point differential. Booker is the leader and you got to trust him in that spot. Curry looking around, shoots it up and we have nobody on it. Here comes the jumper. Curry’s got 29. Sun shooting in the fourth quarter has looked shattered 38%. And the call on the shot. It sends it to the line. Fifth personal foul. Really just forcing the defense’s hand close to the rim. Booker so skilled at finding ways to get himself to the charity strike. taking two shots. Shooting two. First free throw is good and that brings them within five. Both free throws good from Booker. Nice work there. This is a point in the game where if you get a chance to close the gap, you’ve got to make the most of it. Curry against Booker. Takes a three. And it’s Phoenix with the rebound. Green kicks to Booker. Shoots the three. Penski grabs the board. Yeah, not a fan of that one. And it’s the Suns with the ball. Trailing by four. Here’s Dunn. That shot misses and they go to the intentional foul. D second personal foul. 14 foul. at the last of the Warriors. Jimmy, two shots. So, the first one drops and that puts them up by five. And so both free throws are good. It’s a six-point ball game. Some padding here. There’s 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Got it. Stephan Booker coming through again. A huge shot. 13 Moody. He’s checked in for your sons. Gavin Booker. One shot. One shot. Free throw. Good book. So they foul intentionally. Deon Booker second personal foul. 15 foul. It really was that road. Rosie Curry and Pumpski. Jimmy Butler is out there with Buddy Heel. And it’s Green in at the five. Brooks on the double team. They kick out to Heel. Oh, good with the triple. And so Green will bring it up for the Sun. He’ll put that. He hangs in there and cashes in on the second chance points. And those second chance points really become almost like bonus points when you can get them. To the paint. Here’s Green. Pass to Pajki. Good. Great play by Green to set it up. And that’s exactly what he’s looking for. Draining the triple. Booker against Curry. Brooks right side. Back to Booker. Six to shoot over Curt and it’s good off the back. Read in. Yeah, such a versatile score. Devin Booker the three levels. You want to give him the midi, he’ll take it. Pass to Pajki. Heel with it. Curry on the wing. Aki on the wing and stolen by Booker. And here we go. Fast break. Booker’s got it. Misses from short range. The Warriors have gone just one of four to get this game started. Rebound by the Suns. And with this score of the Suns break, you never know who is going to initiate the offense for them. And that can cause problems at times. Deon can run you into issues keeping the ball moving. Turnovers can be their Achilles heel as well. Devin Booker sees a window of opportunity to get to the dribble drive game and takes advantage. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan. Clearly to halt the run. Still finishes the play. And he’ll be shooting his first free throw of the game here. And when you shoot 86 from the line like he did last season, you usually cash in on those opportunities. And what I love most about Jimmy Butler is his will to win and the capacity he has to take his teammates right along with We have
