But this trade would see the Dallas Mavericks receiving LeBron James and Adiierro and the Los Angeles Lakers receiving Klay Thompson, PJ Washington, Daniel Gaffford, Caleb Martin, and a 2032 second round draft pick. So, in my personal opinion, if LeBron James were to be dealt this off season, the Mavericks have to be the leader in the clubhouse to acquire him. The Dallas Mavericks make a lot of sense from a positional standpoint because they could definitely use some more help, especially in their back court. So, LeBron James can sort of act as a point forward while Kyrie Irving is recovering from his injury. But also, too, he fits in with the timeline of this team perfect because they have Anthony Davis, of course, a good friend of LeBron James. They have Kyrie Irving. They have some other players as well, some of which will be traded in this deal. Uh they have D’Angelo Russell they recently signed, etc. So, their timeline to win a championship is now. and getting Cooper Flag in the draft lottery and drafting him first overall, that was a luxury. That was a bonus. And if you’re able to have a starting lineup next year of Kyrie Irving, uh, LeBron James, Cooper Flag, uh, let’s just say Derek Lively, and someone like Anthony Davis, that is really, really good in my personal opinion. So, I understand LeBron James’s desire to maybe want to finish off his career in Dallas. you know, give sort of one last chance at winning a championship, being with some of his good buddies and former teammates in Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. And also too, him wanting to play for Jason Kidd is kind of the cherry on top there. So, this makes a lot of sense, but is it going to happen? I don’t think so. Uh, especially for this return like Los Angeles would be getting back Klay Thompson, PJ Washington, Daniel Gaffford, Caleb Martin. All pretty solid players. It adds a little bit more depth to the team. if you want to start Luca Donuch with some more players that can shoot the basketball, uh, space the floor a little bit and play some solid defense. All of these players kind of fit the bill there. Uh, the second round draft pick, just sort of a throw in there. Uh, but truthfully speaking, if they’re able to get anything for LeBron James at this point, that is a pretty big-time win. But all signs point towards LeBron maybe not being the most interested asset in regards to a trade candidate this off season. So, if I had to pick a winner of this deal, I’m going to still probably go with the Dallas Mavericks. But, as always, leave your thoughts.
