New INTEL and news – Ace Bailey, Georges Niang, and Lauri Markkanen | Hoops Nerd Show

New intel on Ace Bailey and what he’s doing with his offseason workouts. More information on George Nyang and what’s going on with the Utah Jazz. Let’s talk about it. It’s the Hoops Nerd Show. So, I’m back from vacation. Huge shout out to my friend Andy who invited me and and my family with his family to have some fun. Thank you, Andy. That was amazing. I appreciate it. Um, also, I saw a couple of you who said hi to me at one at church and one at the gas station. Hopefully, I was nice. I tried to say hi. If if I didn’t recognize or hear you quite perfectly, I’m sorry, but I tried to say hi. I always try. And also, if you ever see me and want to say hi, go ahead. All right, guys. So, this picture came out while I was on vacation, and I wanted to share it. It got me excited. All right, so in this picture, you see Walker Kesler, Ace Bailey, and Isaiah Kier. They’re in Atlanta working together. This is just great to see. We know that Kesler has roots in Atlanta and those players getting to work together is really nice cuz these are three players that are that are going to be playing together a lot this upcoming season. Honestly, I’m really excited on and also when you look at this picture, look how big Ace Bailey is compared to Walker Kesler. Looks fantastic. And honestly, this might be a picture of the future for the Utah Jazz. There are so many young players on this team that are going to continue to develop together and the fact that they’re already building chemistry is great. You love to see it. Okay guys, the next item, George Niang recently traded to the Utah Jazz. What is the future for him? Well, according to Jake Fiser, George Niang is going to stay in Utah. This is not a big surprise. Nang has an expiring contract this year. It is very much what the Jazz have been doing with all the contracts they’ve been bringing over like Nerkach and other players that their contract will just fall off. George Nyang much the same. Utah will likely have a top eight pick this upcoming draft and then after that have a lot of cap space and a lot of youth. And Utah at that point can make a lot of decisions. Will they will they trade some of those young players for a better player to kind of supplement their young core like Ace Bailey, Walter Clayton, and whoever they draft next year along with players like Keonte George, Taylor Hendris, Walker Kesler. It’ll be interesting to see, but Utah has a very clear plan that they are clearing the deck after next season. So, everything is good to go for this Utah Jazz team. I like this plan because I feel like after tanking two seasons or at least losing enough to get a very high pick in the draft, you’ve done the work to clear the deck and then you just start trying to build. Utah can then bring in contracts of nice players if they’re available or they just continue what they’re doing and just continue to build and hopefully they fall into an MVP caliber player. Finally guys, the last piece of news. I was not I was not available when it happened, but Lowry Markin dropped 48 against Belgium in Euro Basket. Yes, it’s Belgium. I don’t know if Belgium, the powerhouse of the European basketball society, is really going to draw too many uh eyes on this, but it is nice to see Lowry Markin doing well. Like always in all these situations, when you have a player in a situation he should succeed and then does, that’s obviously a good sign. It would be much worse if he’s playing again against a team like that and it does not go well. So this is nice to see Lowry Markin playing well. And it only helps whatever cause you have. If your cause is for the Jazz to just start winning right now, it’s great because then Lowry Markin is showing he’s still good. If you’re looking to maybe trade Lowry Markin in for more prospects to make that top eight pick more secure also great because Utah may be able to trade him sooner if he has a big Euro basket because we know what happened last time Lowry Markin had a great Euro basket. He ended up having a big season for the Jazz an All-Star season. Feels like just yesterday it’s been three four years since that happened. Pretty crazy. So nice to see Lowry Markin doing that and in scoring a lot of different ways. really cool. Got to be happy. Always root for the Jazz players. No matter what’s going on, you’ve got to root for the Jazz and those Jazz players. This upcoming season, guys, is going to be so much fun. I am honestly so excited to see Ace Bailey in those pictures working out with Kesler. It’s just a great way to build chemistry. And we saw how good Ace Bailey looked in summer league and how big he was. And I think that that size and the rebounding and defense that he showed, the weak side shot blocking is pretty exciting. If you put Walker Kesler on the floor and you’re looking to go extremely young, but with good defense, a a front court of Ace Bailey, Taylor Hendris, and Walker Kesler is pretty exciting stuff.
