Niko + Bam doesn’t work. We’ve seen it for 2 seasons.
The answer is Niko & Ware.
No fan wants to see Bam at the starting Center position anymore.
He's growing into his body, he's entering year four, he's already a decent defender but his offense has been improving. I think there is an opportunity for an expanded role for him this season.

Too much is going to come down to how good of a defender Powell is. It doesn’t matter if it’s Niko or Wiggins at the 3, if Powell isn’t a plus defender, neither lineup works.
I disagree with you saying you don’t build around Jovic…i think you have to. And not that he has to be the first scoring option, but most of the offense should be initiated by or run through Jovic.
I do agree about needing to force transition as much as possible, that Niko helps a great deal there, but you’re not going to be in transition that much if Herro and Powell aren’t disruptive on the 3 point line.
I’ll say it over and over, we need to get away from Herro/Powell…trade both of them in fact, and have a guard room full of players like Davion. That’s how you force the turnovers to get the team in transition.
And there are lots of these kinds of guards that shoot well from 3, can handle some, can get to the rim a little…provide you enough versatility that the offense doesn’t stink from leaning defense. Guys like Nembhard, Keon Ellis, NAW, Dyson Daniels, etc. etc.
These guys are taking Eurobasket much too seriously . Just think , Lauren Markkanen scored 42 points in 29 minutes . As for the takes on Jovic , they don’t make sense . Jovic is a ball dominant player, he’s not a spot up shooter ! He missed wide open 3 point shots in the playoffs , as clear an indication that he is not a good shooter .
