Cap space is such a dumb conversation. No one good gets signed with Cap Space
Risky how? I’m not saying Niko will definitely turn out to be a #1 scoring option or a Halliburton-like lynchpin, but if that’s not on the table, I don’t see how you could believe in anything else the Heat are currently rolling with.
If Niko doesn’t pop and change the whole dynamic, what is this team, and why would I think there’s anything game changing in the near future?
This contract should be the best news you’ve had as a Heat fan in 3 years, because as is, Niko is the one who elevates this team back to contention.

Jovic hasn't developed well is all on Spo. Spo can't develop good players. He makes them worse. Now he'll get the best out of a scrub just before we sign him to a big deal and then see him flop (like Duncan).

How does this contract from Niko sound similar to Duncan's? Niko's is basically making Mid level money in 2025, Duncan's was making $5M more per year a $90M total contract when $8M per year was considered Mid Level money.
