    Let me Tell you Caruso is legitimately one of the best perimeter defenders.
    It's pretty unfortunate but I think he's the guy who give KD the most trouble out of any perimeter defender.

    So you might change your tune when you see it.

    I hope Ime grows as a coach and understands his part in Cam Whitmore not working out with the Rockets. Cam is a young, moody, impulsive guy & Ime should have been more understanding/patient with him. He hopefully understands you don't have to like players for them to be successful/productive. He has to trust young players. It's the nature of the business. I hope he gives Reed more support.

    Jackson- One thing I think needs to be done on a podcast is a deep dive into the rebounding rate as it pertains to the shooters we added. Our Offensive Rebounding rate last year was all-time best, and Dillon and JG were both average or below average rebounders. So we replace them with superior shooters and rebounders. We had a 50% offensive rebounding rate against Utah, and that was without DFS, Adams, or normal minutes for the starters. Their offensive efficiency(only hindered by high turnovers) should be at ridiculous levels. If you have a bunch of guys shooting 40% on 3, and take into account us getting rebounds on 45-55% of our shots, that puts the offensive efficiency in rare air. If you are hitting shots on 60-75% of possessions, even outlier shooting games for opponents(like Utah) will still regularly end up in the Rockets winning. Would love to see someone go deep into those numbers because the calculus of the Rockets this year is truly being misunderstood. They are banking on a different formula for winning, so it's understandable people aren't really seeing it. Help them….

    And as far as JD goes, i think people are sleeping far too much. He can make passes our other guys simply can't, and he had about 4 wide open shots he created in short minutes that the Rockets clanked against Utah. His usage rate wasn't that high, so he could have easily had 5-7 assists in his minutes as a secondary playmaker. He is a true table-setter, and he doesn't get sped up. With efficiency numbers in the GLeague, he was facing doubles and was a clear #1 and now he will be offensive threat #5 on the floor at any given time. That means he should eat. His processing already shows he is prepared for more pressure than he will likely see in the NBA(especially on the floor with KD), so any assumption that his production doesn't translate is missing a lot of the equation. It's much easier to make 3s when there isn't 1 second on the clock and 2 guys in your face.

As evidenced by the fact that last year they chose that clown called SGI as MVP over Jokic, the greatest basketball player ever…

    The problem I have with Dyson Daneiles is the same problem Reed Shapard has; they are getting credit for "defense" but are really just producing defensive stats by getting way out of proper position and reaching in a ton. Every time they don't come up with the ball, they put thier teammates in a fire drill help situation or give up a wide open shot. Dyson couldn't see Amen on defense on the best day of his life.

    I am the number one Amen Thompson fan, but Jabari looks so good out there (pause). I don't know if Amen is going to have the usage bump that people think he's going to. Also, Tari is looking to get more looks on the Rockets this year, and he deserves it and needs a contract.

    We look good. I'm going against the grain here. i saw a Jalen Green interview on Twitter and he said Amen Thompson can't stop him. That is the most interesting thing this season to me is that match up. I don't want to see Jalen reach double figures in any game against us.
    KD looks good but having Clint Capela back is actually healing for me. I always liked the way he dominated Rudy Gobert in the playoffs. Stay healthy Clint. I believe he led the league in offensive rebounds the year before last.

    Kill that noise about Nikola Jokic being the best player in the world junk. By all metrics Giannis Antetokounmpo is the Best Player in the World. Jokic gives up waaayyy too many points against his team.
