Many people speculate that Giannis could request a trade from the Milwaukee Bucks prior to the NBA Trade Deadline in February. Pat Riley and the Miami Heat would certainly be interested in a Giannis trade if the opportunity presents itself. “There were several teams on Kevin Durant’s list— San Antonio, Miami for example, who had the assets to trade for Durant— but they held onto them. Why did they hold onto them?Because they knew the possibility that Giannis (Antetokounmpo) could be there.”

Bam, JJJ, ONE 1st, for the The Greak Freak.
If you have a chance to trade for the Greek Freak (and his brothers) you do it. Not mad that they passed on Durant, what has Durant done without Curry, no finals appearances since. Regarding Markanan, IMO, I Don’t recall too many high scoring players on bad teams that go on to a contender and produce the same. (Scary Terry, Dame, Beal) Only one I can recall recently is SGA with the Thunder.

This is fantasy, it would put us in a small title window that would implode the way the Celtics roster had to…either scenario. I’m not that interested, and don’t really wanna give up Ware or Jovic, who i think could be better than Giannis and Markkanen respectively.
Ware is getting 20 and 12 as a wet behind the ear, passive member of this roster.
Like he’s not even good yet and his production is insane. Imagine what he’s going to be at 25 when he’s much better, stronger, much more of a focus of the team, more of a leader of the team that feels personally responsible for wins/losses. He’s going to be half as cheap, we don’t have to give up anything to get him. Just be patient with this team.
I feel the same about Jovic vs Markkanen.
