I have to consider the fact that Thibs played slow because this roster is not built to play fast against teams that are good at playing fast. Slowing the game down, walking the ball up gave the other team less fast break opportunities and hid the Knicks flaws. They’re a good half court team. The Bulls are young, long (pause), and athletic. Knicks have trouble rotating and defending these types of teams. Mikal was barbecue chicken all night. OG is strong and skilled but not necessarily fast.

Ayo got banged up late in last night's game. I hope he's good to go when the Bulls travel to New York. And the Bulls need some scoring from Tre Jones who offensively speaking turned into Ben Simmons. Screw that…shoot the ball.
KAT is making 54 milli this year… Trade him for frontcourt depth.

Look no one wants to say it everyone is avoiding it. We’ve been avoiding talking about it for a long time now, but the truth of the matter is that we are small at too many positions and when it comes down to it defensively Brunson is a liability. Bronson plays almost 0 defense so after getting scored on, he comes back down to try to negate that by scoring himself and that’s not gonna work anymore. Teams know that the weakness with the Knicks is Brunson.. What we need is someone coming off the bench that has size and defense that can help slow down the bleeding because no way you can look at 135 points and say defense was played. We need a big point guard to come in and play defense For a few minutes to stave off the offense of the other team.
Doo Doo Brown is a complete joke of a coach. Always has been and always will be. Going from Thibs to him is like going from a Tesla to a Hyundai. You combine that with KAT and Brunson being complete liabilities on defense, and this is what you get. The team just can't get stops. Period.

Dont be sad be happy. The Bulls are going places they got two young ballers and dont need Whites offense when he get back in fact they should trade him for an upgrade.
They can either find an elite 3 and D wing or go get a defense and rebound stretch 4 who can run.
Two names though one isn't really 3 in 3 and D and the other isn't really rebound in rebound and D but Scottie Barnes or JJJ fit this team like a glove

They should’ve kept Tibs one more year!! Though I’ve disagreed a lot with his coaching but he created mental toughness down the stretch to the playoffs I don’t think Brown can build mental toughness on this team to the playoffs. It doesn’t look good. I know it’s early but I wasn’t a Brown’s fan and I wasn’t happy when we got him. You should’ve got coach Malone this team is perfect for him and his championship experience as a coach.
There is a real Josh Giddey problem! His size and basketball IQ is an issue. He’s played 5 career games in MSG and he’s had 3 triple doubles

Mike brown doesn’t play Hart enough and plays him at the wrong moments. Mike Brown so far has been garbage. Hope he figures this out . This is all poor coaching
So what you are saying this group of guys can't defend. Tibs was right. The front office got all this guys for nothing, instead of tweak the system in place the new couch decided to dismantle it and start all over again. This is 100% front office problem. Is like this; if you are a new chef at a restaurant you don't throw out the entire menu, you work with what's there and make it better gradually. Mike Clown is playing a dangerous game for he's own benefit no for the knicks the players have two more years to go. The scariest thing i see about this with these players we have there's only one player on this team that can score anytime he wants the bulls for example they were scoring even with defense on them that team is like get out my way you cannot stop me that kind of attitude the Knicks have no players like that except one JB

Jalen is the only dog on this team. Mikal is a young puppy. Deuce & Mitch are good on defense when healthy. For 3 years I have said, " relentless defense is the only ID. We need Evo, Jemison, Ariel, Diawara & Dadiet to develop. They are our greyhounds. They offer speed, energy & youth to add to the skilled, more polished players. Now can Brown find a way to utilize these players into a winning formula. If not…. no championship for us. I didn't want Brown, I wanted a younger, smarter, strategic coach with a new flow.

Also, when expectations don't match reality, it leads to disappointment and frustration! This team is epitome of disappointment and frustration. All this talk of finals or bust. The knicks have an easy path to a chip! DELUSIONAL 😮 Thibs had to go because he thought he was a dictator! But Mike Brown is working on his fith firing. Defense wins 🏆championships. The knicks have 3 1/2 to 4 good defenders. Mitch, Duece, OG, and Mikal sometimes. This could get ugly very quickly
This is the first time I disagree with my favorite guys here. I went back and looked at the game and the run was when Kat and Mitch were playing together at the start of the 3rd. It's clear that Kat can't play the 5 but Brown keeps bringing smaller players in instead of dual bigs. If you tell me that we scored 125 and we still lose a game….what in the world. The smaller line up has been getting cooked the past 3 games. Kat at the 4 is our only way to early success here!
Hello CP we're not playing defense at all because we don't get into opponent team players bodies . We're giving lot of espace to do anything they want . Brown should played all our players and tell all our players to stick on the player they are guarding as bed bug
I am starting to get Don Nelson 96 vibes. Such a stark playstyle from the previous regime really hurt Don Nelson. I hope I'm wrong. It seems that Josh is unhappy out there.
I noticed (twice) that he didn't give fives🖐🏿 to his teammates heading back to the bench. I only bring that up because Rick Brunson talked about it when he was a guest on the Roommates podcast.
Also, I believe we would've won the game against the Bucks if we didn't FORCEFEED KAT. He seemed unhappy although we were cruising in the 1st half.
Also, it seems like Mike Brown it "template coaching", just in the other direction of Thibs. He's pulling people out when we have it rolling. Then he'll play too many people. It seems like he's trying to keep everybody happy. If everyone is available to play, like they were against the bulls, I don't think certain people should get minutes. It just messes up the overall continuity and flow of the players on the court.
Outside of Jalen Brunson (offense) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (offense+length), there aren’t many reliable options in the league right now at point. Everyone else is either dealing with career-altering injuries or inconsistency. When Brunson gets hurt, he plays through it (NY grit with no credit)—when Shai is injured, he knows when to rest.(with no bad reputation) Meanwhile, Luka, Hali, and Russell get more hype than proven durability or dominance.
A modern “Rolls-Royce Backcourt” of Shai 'SGA' Gilgeous-Alexander (SG/PG) and Jalen Brunson (PG), bring the same “dual-engine” identity that Clyde(PG/SG) and The Pearl (SG/PG) had.
