Fun fact, Ja Morant has played fewer games the last 3 years than Zion. Coupled with the fact that he's a headcase and would be a whiny crybaby about having to be 2nd fiddle to Ant, we'd basically be lighting $40 million in cap space on fire.

Somewhere in there might still be the Ja who nearly averaged a triple double on the Wolves, then was the best offensive player on the court in a series against the Championship Warriors cast.
You know how a duck can look calm and quiet on the surface but underneath is all the chaos and legs kicking like crazy. Unless the Wolves are that duck, I lean strongly NO. If they are hiding a LOT of disfunction… if guys are internally pushing to get out, if Ant is saying "get me an elite PG or I'll go public with a trade request"… something along those lines… sure, take the risk to keep things together. But if it looks more on the inside like what it does on the outside, hard pass. Ja is a pretty poor defender, meaning more on Ant there (who hasn't been up to par this year on or off ball yet really), and that looks like it weakens what is the wolves weakest link right now.
Atlanta has a ton of guards go get Jaylen Johnson or Dyson Daniels simple done. Criss Finch just sucks he couldn't find a Point guard if he had a road map and it's been proven for years and years …It's all on him.

The wolves aren’t trading for Ja lol. Look at Connelly’s track record. Point guards that rely their athleticism age like NFL running backs. On top of that you have loads of off the court problems. Connelly’s not touching that mess.
The Wolves shouldn’t even be testing the waters for any players at all, unless something out of this world bonkers happens. This team is set and locked in rolling right now. If it’s not broken don’t fix it.

Yes Julius is playing well now. But the reason I think this is a good trade for us in the long run. Would have to deal more with the team later into the playoffs. Every year in the western conference finals we have an exhausted Ant Edwards due to him putting the team on his back and having to close out many game 7 series. Mostly due to the inconsistent and sometimes non existent play from his no 2 option or co star. Both KAT and Randle disappeared for many games. But Ja Morant, or even if we looked into a Trae Young those kinds of guys flourish in the playoffs. They may not be great defenders but with the rest of the team being good on defense we will be able to overcome the hump. But the lack of consistency from our co star is our biggest issue in the playoffs in my opinion. Also the back court of a JA and Ant would be exciting to watch.
