What are your honest thoughts on Maxi Kleber?
Do you think he deserves a closer look over someone like Vando or even Hayes?
Or will LeBron's return soak up any minutes left?
I liked him because he was where he supposed to be on defense! He was more of closing down the lanes & getting in front hands up giving up no freebees on his watch. I see him more in games sharing within the rotation.

I have high hopes for Maxi. He is a competent player on both sides of the ball with playoff experience.
He played good but he didn’t outplay Jaxson. This one of Hayes best games off the bench for the lakers in his lakers stints. When healthy he’s a solid player in limited minutes. Let’s see what the lakers decide to do depending in how he performs and if he’s able to stay healthy.

I've been waiting to get a look at Kleber. I liked what I saw in Milwaukee. His defense was solid and he seemed to always be in the right place. I'm looking forward to seeing him play more.
He guards mobile forwards really well. He is a hard match up for giannis. He can switch and guard lots of guards
Who’s a good comparison to Maxi? I was thinking like a Nikola Vucevic since they’re both Pf/C, Eurpoean, roughly Around same height and they both can shoot 3’s.
Only thing Vucevic has is playing experience and is better offensively

Definitely need minutes for him. His size and IQ is a problem for teams. Hes intimidating on the court you can see it watching the games.
Hes super underrated as a role player…sure hes not winning any 6th man or w.e …but hes a solid 3 and d guy that makes it easier for other on the defensive as well
Maxi and ayton were a good inside defense yesterday against the bucks hopefully JJ pairs them both up MORE OFTEN
He's great when healthy, availability is his biggest flaw. Great rebounder and defender, and does things that don't necessarily show up in the box score. Even if he's not hitting his 3s, worth having him out there, especially as a 4, tho he can play center as well.

Maxis game just seems solid stable and in control. Vando brings alot of intensity but he can be very erratic. They're both good to have on the team

Austin and Luka have similar playing styles and Maxi use to playing with Luka. It’s like he knew everything that was playing out in front of him! He had a back up plan for everything too!

Id still move Rui Gabe Maxi and Dalton imo u need at least 2 more legit switchable 2 way guys and a real bulky back up center who can block shots and catch lobs
Maxi closed many games on the Mavs for years even over gafford and lively. when he feels right and hits an occasional 3 it’s good to have him for 15minutes on the floor if you have enough offense around him. His problem is that you don’t want to see him go to the rim because he is more injury prone than AD…
Always liked his defense and his basketball IQ, which really shows throughout a game. He makes for a good screener, he knows when to throw the extra pass and where to throw it.
He can be a bit streaky as a shooter and after his shoulder injury he got scared to shoot sometimes, but he is far better on the offense than Vando. I think he shines on the 4, and certainly would make for an excellent player to use against certain matchups and maybe take some time from Vando.
they dont need a stretch big. they need an inside presence. they need a guy they can dump the ball into and let him go to work. inside outside game when they need it.

I’ve watched Maxi for a number of years. Remember he helped Luka get to the finals and conference finals. He’s a legit defender that can guard multiple positions at a reasonably high level. If he’s healthy (always a big if with Maxi) he can absolutely be helpful in a 15 – 20 mpg type role.
I'm all about the next-man-up mentality. I'd rather have a deep team that can withstand injuries than use it for a trade piece and ruin chemistry. He knows how to play with Luka and fits so many roles. Shooting, defense, stretching the floor.
He's a guy you hate going against because he's a spark plug and does all the little things to get scoring runs going for your team.
He was very good for Mavs when he was healthy. Unfortunately, he has not been healthy for last five years.
If you a real Lakers 4 Life.. you’d know who Maxi Kleber is.,, he’s the guy who beat us with a buzzer beater 3 when he was playing with Dallas a few years ago smh., he can play n he can shoot!!!
Kleber had looked washed in the limited games he was available in Dallas over the past couple of seasons, but I did think he looked pretty good in the last game. If he can regain his form from a few seasons ago, then he really is a valuable piece. He's a really versatile defender.

I was a fan of Maxi before we got him!! I just wasn't sure how'd he play due to age and the foot surgery
I like Maxi, Vando, and Jaxson… but they are all injury prone. I hope the coach can manage all their minutes to prevent injuries, but if they all go out with injuries… we’re screwed! 🤞
