All we have to do is play a average Lakers game and Mavs get blown out 😂😂
If Ayton can’t play, Lakers should have Adou defend AD. Adou is big strong and physically tough to give AD a run.
AD is going to get injured again
Feels like ADs first game with the Mavs. Not fully ready but eager to get back then get hurt that game. Proving something cause it's the Lakers can bite him in the ass

A few factors to consider for those worrying so much. 1 – Luka holds grudges unlike few I’ve ever seen on a professional level. Obviously, the Mavs will beat the Lakers at some point but highly unlikely tonight. 2 – The Lakers are 10.5 point favorites going into the game. Those of you that have experience betting or follow the lines know that they are rarely if ever wrong on a delta of that magnitude. Not saying it can’t happen but the odds of the Mavs actually winning is extremely low.

AD wanting to play the Lakers is most likely a mix a venom for revenge mixed with getting to play against his old buddies. It should be a good game.
Mavs' games have often been close. They are not as bad as their records show.

AD is hungry to play against us, Luka is even more hungry to play against the Mavs! Luka feels betrayed by Nico and Kidd! Luka wants to crush the Mavs punish them for trading him and disrespecting Luka by calling him lazy, poor work ethic etc! The trade was crushing enough but to then pile on with negative comments Luka feels they went too far! I believe Luka is now happier with the Lakers, the largest fan base in all of sports! The greatest franchise ever! Luka is among some of the greatest to ever play the game Mikan, Wilt, West, Kareem, Magic, Worthy, Shaq, Kobe, Lebron and now Luka! He will win multiple championships with our Lakers!

For the NBA Cup to become a meaningful tradition, winning it has to have meaningful consequences. Assuming the Cup winner makes the playoffs, maybe the team could be awarded first-round home court advantage irrespective of playoff seedings.
