The reason I think the Raps might have won with Barrett because during that 5 min+ stretch in the 4th when they didn't score… nobody was willing to drive to the basket. So no lay-ups and no free throws. Barrett would have driven at some point.
I said it before after the Cavs last gm running iso heavy possessions for BI won't cut it. This team wins with ball movement & good decision making on both sides of the ball. IQ's & BI's decision making in the 4Q & both getting hunted on defense lost Raps the gm. Darko must look in the mirror & do better. Hornets like Indy was taking away Raps'1st & 2nd actions & the guys were stagnant instead of making better reads.

The BI = Khris Middleton (on the 2021 champ Bucks) comparison is perfect. Pretty clear who Scottie is if we take the analogy further (I'm not delusional tho Giannis still way better)
This team NEEDS a Jrue Holiday and IQ ain't it. With BI, it's not a personnel issue, it's a process issue and I still believe he can be part of a winning equation.
IQ can't be the starting PG.
The Raptors should ask themselves why would Brandon Ingram back off Kon Knueppel in a game tying corner 3 with seconds left in the game. He had him covered and could have smothered him in the corner so that Kon wouldnt be able to get off a good shot if any shot at all. Knueppel gave him one little drive fake and Brandon stayed down and away falling for the fake….why? Two points barely changes things in that situation.Give Knueppel the drive.The reason the Raptors should ask themselves this is so that they dont make the same mistake again. This mistake probably cost them the game. Also Charlotte had no timeouts…why didnt Darko just foul and send Kon to the line? You have to do one or the other…what you cant do is give him a good look at a three…and thats exactly what they did.
The Bi comparison to Middleton is interesting
Scottie had some promising scoring posessions. Left most excited about that.
This streak built enough expectations for this team to feel the need to win. Poor play and alterior ambitions will stick out. The front office will know who is worth it or not by the end of this season.
Why not put Jamison Battle in the game?

I honestly think BI can be a clear number 1.. nobody is selling me that Scottie Barnes is better.. they are even at best, Scottie Barnes Is more dominant on defense, BI is more Dominant on Offense, but you still have to respect Scottie’s offense, and when BI is engaged, he’s respectable on defense. Don’t tell me that there’s not a big gap in scoring ability, because Scottie doesn’t have counter moves to his game like BI. About as much a gap as Scottie’s defense from BI’s. Scottie more like Lebron or Giannis, a transition scorer/defender/facilitator.. BI is a Elite scorer who facilitates based off the gravity he creates scoring the ball. Similar to a MJ, Kobe, KD. I’m honestly more offended if he don’t take the shot.. this one of the reasons im not high on Lebron like most people, because when the game on the line, I want my best player closing the deal. If the ball in Scottie Barnes hands, Quickley might end up taking the last shot, and we really can’t have that. There’s no one on this this team that I would’ve preferred take that shot over BI, that’s a shot i’ve seen him make hundreds of times, he just missed it. Unless Scottie Barnes is open or any of them are open under the basket Or near the basket.. I’m Living with that shot.. Stop being so Quick to put caps on who these players are and who they can become. Neither one of them has been in a healthy situation to show there full potential yet. BI literally just entered his Prime years, and he doesn’t have the miles of a player who’s played 9 seasons do to injuries. Scottie still scratching the surface of what he could be.. I think we all can agree that these guys are gonna play their best basketball together. Let’s just enjoy the journey.
