If I was doing the trade I would give fox,vassel,sochan and maybe 1first round pick and 2 second round. Harper, wemby,castle. Are staying put. N the reason I would trade fox n vassell is for salary reasons.
We don't need to blow up this team for Giannis. I would love to get him, but the team is playing incredibly well. Especially if there's no guarantee he's staying after his contract is done. Don't give up the future for a chance at a chip in the next two years.
Have to take advantage of when our young guys are on rookie contracts. In a few years, the Spurs are stuck.
No one is saying that Harper or castle are as good as Giannis, we are saying that Harper and castle with wemby are the foundation of a dynasty not a single championship I would trade fox before either of those young guys
Spurs are the favorites to get Giannis b/c of draft picks. People undervalue Castle. Castle-Harper-Fox are today's Ginobili-Parker-Bowen (or Green). That is, all 3 can co-exist in the 4Q of games and with Wemby and Sochan, that 5 can compete with any team. For 15 years Pop surrounded the first dynasty with role players. But if the Spurs are hiding something about Wemby's health, then a rethink is going to have to be done.

There will have to be a third team involved . Vassell, Barnes, Sochan are all tradeable. Sochan will be let go anyway, heās no longer a fit. Imagine Spurs getting hawks involved, giving them their pick back in return they send trae young to bucks, we send vassell and sochan and 3-4 picks to the bucks.
Not going to happen. Spurs is good for now. There is likely a gap at the PF position. Olynyk can fill the gap with some mins. Sochan's contract is expiring. Barnes is scoring very well at the 4, Champagnie scoring well at the 3. The Spurs can try to get a PF at the next draft something.
If we sign him, you only secured 1.5yrs from him. He will eventually ask for a max extension. You dont even know if he is going to sign his extension with the Spurs. As he desired to go to New York. Then all your draft assets we have given them are gone. I don't think Spurs dont want to gamble with those kind of situations. They signed Fox midseason because he wants to play there together with Wemby. Giannis has no indication of liking to play in San Antonio.

No! This should not happen. What the SPURS have put together is making the spurs fans happy. I've been in that camp for the past 20+ years, and endured the painful last three years. But you have done it. The team vets (Devin, Keldon, etc) deserve to stay on the team, and so does Fox, Castle and Harper. You've got something special and talking about DEPTH!!! Consider us. Winning is important but wins are not the only thing that makes a team. We actually care about the players. These guys have worked hard and they deserve the right to play with the generational phenom – Wemby. Spurs fans are not ordinary and neither are the players. Very seldom do Spurs try to go to another team. This team we have now can become a SUPER-TEAM, and as much as I like GIANNIS, let the Bucks build a team around him or let him go where he can be THE MAN. He's among the greatest ever, but these Spurs that we have now are gonna make the fans happy for the next decade, I think. Have some loyalty for these guys.

I love Giannis but I'd pass on any trade. The Spurs core is young (Wemby 21, Castle 21, Harper 19), they are already good and will probably go into the playoffs this year getting more experience. Bringing Giannis means that at least one of them is gone and with Giannis age that means that they need to compete now and for probably only 2-3 years max: Wehn Wemby starts his new supermax contract, the Spurs will have three players eating the entire cap space making it impossible to assemble a team around them and with most picks gone, no chance in bringing talented young players.
Stay the course, everybody is getting more experience, if you can get rid of Sochan/picks for another defender/shooter do it. When Wemby and Castle come back, figure out how they can play together, weirdly Wemby is the one creating the most problems offensively from a strategic standpoint. The offense if more fluid now without him.
Fox can not be traded until 2/4
