I tore my achilles. The hardest part is rehab – getting full motion and strength. You're in a cast or a boot for about 5 months. It's not an issue to re-injure. In fact, my doc said it's nearly impossible to rupture again since it is much stronger with the hardware and scar tissue. Running in water and calf raisers worked for me and got me back to my basketball league in about 10 months. Tatum is working even harder and much younger. It's all about whether he can get the strength back on the ball of his foot. It's possible he can be back in 9 months at full strength.
Why does EVERYONE think if he plays this year that they "rushed" him back. There are scans to use to determine if it is healed. The time is irrelevant. Healed is healed.
I don't understand why people qualify Tatum coming back with a caveat of if he's healthy like well duh no one's going to let him play if he's not healthy
The Celtics lost their 1st 2nd and 3rd string center. We don’t have JT, we lost Jrue. We are playing multiple players who were not competing full time in the NBA last yr and who can’t buy a drink in a bar. Half the roster is new. What the Celtics are doing right now is unreal.
